I've been purchasing Brooks Addiction shoes since 2003 (have also purchased Adrenaline and Ariel). Absolutely love these shoes for walking. I walk an average of 60+ miles a week mostly on pavement. These shoes offer the best cushion and support. I use orthotic insoles which fit perfectly in these shoes. I purposely purchase these 1/2 - 1 size larger to allow for swelling. I highly recommend Brooks to anyone that wants a comfortable walking shoe.

I usually do my running on treadmill and on the road.
Had to get 1/2 sizer bigger than normal. Thought I love the room in the toe box. Even though these aren't rated as "Cushion" motion control, they feel more cushiony than the previous Motion Control + "Cushion" I've worn.

I can't believe i've finally found a match for the discontinued new balance 851, which was sold as a classic shoe at RRS till it was discontinued by the manufacturer. This shoe is considered a Motion Control shoe, which is hard to find, as most womens' shoes are for stability. I tried the popular Brooks Adrenaline, but it was not for me. I wondered if maybe Brooks was just not the brand for me till i tried this glorious shoe. It really is just like the NB851, except it's not a style from 20 years ago. It's got all the updates of today's shoes: lighter, mesh upper for breathability, current color styling, etc. The most noticeable shape difference in this shoe when compared to stability shoes is a more solid sole, not all broken up. There are places for the foot to bend, but there is more sole touching the pavement, rather than lots of little pockets in the tread. Perfect for me. In terms of the product description saying it's for flat arches.... i don't know if i agree with that because i have average to high arches and the cushion insert seems to have some bubble-ness in the arch, which might bother some people. a person with low arches might want to put a different insert in the shoe.

I put in anywhere from 25 to 50+ miles per week, depending upon what I'm training for. The Addictions are my go-to shoes. Heck, they're the only shoes my picky feet even seem to like. Yes, I've strayed and have tried other brands, but I keep coming back to the Addictions. Nothing beats them for putting in the miles. I just wish that Brooks would make them in more exciting colors!

Despite the changes, the narrower toe box areas and the color changes the cushioning and performance remains true.

If you're heavily pronated like I am, this is the shoe to buy. THE BEST!

I have been using the addictions since addiction V. I have no idea what they changed in the addiction 10's but I wish they hadn't. My arches have become Increasing sore wearing them. Given the reviews I've read for the adrenalines, it sounds like they made a bad change to them as well. Looks like I'll be switching brands. Very dissapointing!

I have flat feet and pronate. Been buying these shoes since Addiction 7. LOVE LOVE them. Just bought a new pair before a month-long trip to Israel. Walked every day, up and down monuments with no problems, minimal breakin time.

Before Addiction, i was not very happy with my shoes, but now they are my go-to. I buy 2 pair at a time, so i can alternate. Strong "buy" recommendation

The Addiction used to be the perfect shoe. Brooks has gradually ruined it. If you hated the Addiction 7, you might want to try this edition, but if you loved the Addiction 7, pass it by. I'm a 7.5 D so I would normally get a size 8 in this shoe. However, the sole now "breaks" (bends) in a slightly different place causing excessive stress on the joints in the foot (very bad for bunions). I went down to a 7.5 to get the break in the right place. Despite giving all appearances of being the right length, the toe box is shaped funny with a seam pressing right on the big toe. I'm looking for another brand.
