Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: Just picked my pure connects from RRS - excellent shipping time. I have also run in NB's 1400 and Kinvaras and Mirages and so far these are better. They are very good so far, comfortable, light, flexible, but as others mentioned a bit tight/narrow, esp. on the top, so i recommend a half size up, I did and glad i did it. Overall great shoe for the price and glad i got them.

Best Uses Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: This shoe would have been absolutely PERFECT if it wasnt made specifically for people with narrow feet. I have wide feet and although I still use this shoe I had to go up a half size in order to wear it.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I run between 40 miles per week and participate in many races from 5K up to Full Marathons. I have been through many different shoes in the last year and Brooks Pure Connect is by far my favorite. Some of the shoes I've worn are: Asics Kayano 17, Nike Vomero 6, New Balance 1080V2, New Balance 993 and most recently New Balance RC1600 (for fast racing). None of these shoes worked as well for me as my Brooks. They are light, very comfortable and fit my narrow foot perfectly, which is a major plus. Many other reviewers have complained that they are not durable. This is probably true but then again there aren't many minimalist shoes on the market that can push past 300 miles. Due to this it might be wise to buy two pairs. I've also read that some people have had little to no leg fatigue wearing these. And while I believed this couldn't be true, I ran 20 miles in them yesterday and today my legs feel great, no pain at all! A huge difference compared to the 20 I ran a week ago in my RC 1600s. Ok, I have nothing more to say. Just buy these shoes, you won't regret it.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I agree overall with all the positive comments about the PureConnect. I fantastic lightweight shoe with just enough cushion. One of my favorite all time shoes - BUT. They wear out quickly. I have just over 100 miles and there is major ware on the soles. Almost enough that I'll have to get another pair soon. Keep this in mind before ordering. You're probably not going to get 300-500 miles out of these.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I hated these when i first put in on and then I wore then around the house for a couple of evenings before I took them for a run.I absolutely love them except for the high arched support insole.I had to cut it out after 50 miles or so.I normally use purely neutral shoes but i got to where I liked the arch support in these but it causes me to supinate even more than I do naturally which is already bad enough.I have seen numorous reviews of people stating that the toebox is too narrow.I have really wide feet and my pair fits just fine and hasn't caused me any problems. They hug the foot and really do fit like a glove.I have noticed that the heel is worn down dramatically after only 61 miles. But my strike was off from the excessive under pronating and I'm a natural midfoot striker!?I'm used to the Kinvara and this is pretty similar other than the midsole support.I just purchased a pair of the pure flows at a local run shop today for my Lr's and easy days.I tried out all of the pure project line at the Columbus marathon expo and i really liked them all.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: Got them today and went for a fast 5. Lightweight yet cushioned and fit like a glove. This is just one run but I have a feeling they're going to be a great shoe.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: Tried many miles to get comfortable in the Newton shoe without success. After numerous leg issues I went back to my old Brooks Ghost 2 and felt much better. I decided to order the Pureconnect, and WOW!!! This is the shoe I have been waiting for. If you are looking for a minimal shoe, look no further.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: This is now my primary shoe for half marathon training and racing. I'm 6'1" 175 lbs with high arch and neutral feet.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: really enjoyed the Connect for shorter runs but after several miles (beyond 6 miles) the sole pods began causing foot pain. ran several runs up to 22 miles and there was a definite causation of discomfort. NB is close to a great minimalist shoe but might want to drop some of the cushion, reduce the high arch support and provide a smooth sole surface to induce those looking for a more minimalist running shoe.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: My biggest criticism of all Brooks shoes has been the significant drop from the heel to forefoot (even on their racing flats!). The pure connect solves this problem. I love how I feel connected to the ground at all times without the "high heel effect." I haven't had them long enough to comment on durability, but they seem to be put together very well. Very breathable, light, and responsive.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I gave these stylish shoes to my 11 year old son as a holiday gift and today I had to toss them in the trash. Within the first month the tread began to wear, and then the orange mesh began to fall apart. By the third month the tread was gone and mesh broken in various places. Love Brooks...just not these. Biggest waste of money on shoes.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: A couple years ago I tried on the Minimus from New Balance and as soon as I started walking they hurt. I had avoided minimal shoes since then, until purchasing these. I run about 30-40 miles per week regularly and push 60 when training for a marathon, which I do 3 a year. So far I've put in a few 30 mile weeks in these and they feel much better than I expected. I'm about to ramp up the mileage as my next marathon is approaching, so I'll be able to tell if they are good enough for that distance and mileage soon. As for right now, the bottom line from me is if other minimal shoes haven't worked for you, try this line - they seem to work for me.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: From the first time I dawned a pair of these and ran I have been in love with these shoes. They fit like a glove. I have to remind myself that these are only for running or I would do everything in them. I use these for street and track running. I have been running in them for three months. I run 12-18 miles a week right now and recently started training for my first half marathon. My longest run in these so far is 7 miles. Just down right comfortable, lightweight, nimble, and fun to run in. I just bought a second pair on clearance and have a pair of Pure Connect 2's on order.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: these shoes, for me are the perfect marriage between minimalism and a shoe that can go the long haul. done several runs over 20 including a pr marathon. i run on average 40 to 45 miles a week and rotate the pureconnects, pureflows and puregrits for trails. connects are by far my favorite! pureflows are a little too much shoe for me but work well for recovery runs. i wish there was a little more life in the outsole. it seems to wear out before the rest of the shoe. i'm not too picky though (had the same problem on my first pair of pureflows and learned to just tear off the parts of the outsole that were dangling!) really these shoes are great. will definitely buy again.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: This is my first minimalistic shoe... that I purchased for Sprint Triathlons. Like it so well that I hesitantly used them in my 2012 full Ironman... results were great and I am 58 yrs. and 220 lbs. No foot or joint problems the entire race.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: This was my first natural running shoe. It is the best shoe I ever had. It is so light it is like running in slippers. After about 15 years I don't need orthotics any more. I am on my third pair. I ran two Ironman marathons with them this year and my feet were in the best shape afterwards of any of the previous 41 marathons and ironmans over the past 22 years. I am running the best I have in many years. I am sorry that they are endangered. I hope Brooks replaces them with something equivalent. The only thing is I wish they had fewer laces or a quick race system and a rear pull tab for fast transitions in triathlons.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I've done at least eight 13+ mile runs in them I feel like these shoes have a good balance of padding some might find them a little too padded for a minimalist shoe. I put over 400 miles on them took about 10 miles to fall in love with them. I run 30 miles a week I'm 5'5 130lb so I'm a light runner. Don't expect to get more then about 300 miles out of these shoes this is my 3ed set of running shoes first was brooks glycerin 9 then new balance 1400 another great shoe great. When transitioning in to these shoes my heals would hurt then I learned how to run in them. I've only had some mild blisters from these shoes I might add I run with no sox. I've done at least eight 13+ mile runs in them.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I had been running with the NB Minimus, but they changed the model to a zero drop shoe. I decided to try these as a replacement. I really wanted to like them because they look good, are lightweight and have much cushion (something I no longer like). The shoes are so cushioned that the ground is difficult to sense. My biggest complaint is the band across the top of the foot. I don't have wide feet but these are simply too tight. I wore these for about three weeks of running, during this time I developed planter fasciatis. I think that they are very close, but need to adjust the fit on this shoe.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: Swithched to the minimalist movement about a year ago with the Brooks PureFlow and love it. I decided to try the PureConnect and was very impressed. This is the most comfortable shoe I have ever run in. They fit like a glove and are very fast/light. Leg fatigue, sore knees and tight calves have all been diminished since running the PURE line. I highly recommend giving this shoe a try. Shoes had gone so far in the wrong direction with massive cushioning and "4 inch heels" that promote heel strike and unnatural strides. I havent looked back...Also, orange is the fastest color:)

Comments about Mens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: Great fitting, super comfortable right out of the box. They run narrow, which is nice for someone with narrow feet (me).
