Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I was looking for a minimal shoe that would hold up for a marathon. So many minimal shoes are great for the short distance but the pounding over 26.2 miles is just too much. I wore this shoe for the 2012 Boston Marathon. The cushion in the ball of the foot was perfect and felt great throughout the race. My only problem, and this happens in all shoes I marathon in was blistering on the lateral part of my pinky toe in the late miles. It is very important that you are proficient at pose style running (ball of foot) if you are a heel striker or your form breaks down over long miles then only wear this shoe for short sprint workouts until you can sustain good technique even when tired.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I love how light they are, the thin tongue, and how I felt one with the road! I could really focus on my cadence/foot strike because of the strong connection to the ground!

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: This is a great shoe. I've seen others complain that the arches are too high and are uncomfortable. Personally- I have super high arches, and have been afraid to transition into minimal shoes because I wouldn't have that extra support. So this shoe is the best of both worlds for me.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I love the PureConnect. These shoes fit my foot nearly perfectly and are very light and fast. I really like the rounded heel--it doesn't get in the way of my normal foot strike the way flared heels do. The biggest problem I have is that the shoe rubs at the achilles, and within 2-3 miles I had a bleeding heel. I ended up trimming off the tab at the back, and that solved the problem. I've not noticed anyone else complaining about this, tho, so it may just be my foot shape.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: Doing repeats and track workouts in running shoes (trainers) can have you feeling heavy because of the weight of the shoes. Running in my PureConnect, I feel light and fast, not to mention the attention I get becaue of the cool color. I plan to use them for track workouts and indoor track competitions.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: Let me start by saying I'm a Brooks loyalist. I have been wearing nothing but Brooks for the last five years. The PureConnect shoes are absolute heaven on my feet! At first, I put them on and I felt like I had slippers on (yes, they are that comfortable!). I wore them for my first Ironman on 08/28/2011 and didn't have one blister. They were amazing in every way: lightweight, breathable, flexible, and FAST! In fact, I negative split my marathon in the Ironman in 95 degree heat! Just yesterday, I wore them for a 5K road race and took 1st female! I'd give them 10 stars if I could!!

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I'm an "Athena," the nice term for a big girl who runs. I've run in stability shoes, neutral shoes, and now these. I don't think I'll change back to anything else. I've had knee issues, but not when I ran in these. I train up for half marathons, then rest, then rev up for the next half. I LOVE these shoes. My only complaint is the blister on my left heel. Not sure if it was my socks or the shoe, but moleskin is cheaper than IT band pain! These throw me forward so I feel faster while also more intouch with the road and my feet.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: The Pure Connect is the part of Brooks Running newest project - the Pure Project. The shoe is very lightweight but comfortable. While it may take some time to build up to running longer distances in the Pure Connect (similar to barefoot running), once you are there, you will love it. If you are looking for a lightweight racer, this is the shoe for you!

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: These shoes not only look good but feel great! They literally feel like you're wearing slippers. I like them for short runs/strides since they are so lightweight but also for activities like crossfit where minimalist shoes are ideal! These are an awesome additon to the Brooks family!

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I love this shoe! I'm not a "barefoot shoe" believer, but I received this shoe as a gift, and I thought, hey, free shoe. It was amazing! It gives support and is lightweight. I usually wear some sort of guidance or support shoe. My first run out in them was a 20 miler, and they held up amazingly well! I recommend this shoe in a major way. (PS I teach high school too, and my students love them!)

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: These shoes are amazing. I have had trouble with my Achilles for the last 3 years. Always tight in the morning, always afraid that twinge I would feel when I was running, was gonna be a rupture one day. First time I ran in these shoes, I could feel a stretch up the back of my ankles...but a stretch that felt good. For the first time in years, I woke up the next morning pain free. No need to take a few slow steps till things stretched out....PAIN FREE!

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I'm a Marine and run 3 to 5 times a week. I needed a shoe that would endure our long distance running and all the terrain we run through. I was a little sketchy about them but then when I actually broke them in they were awesome to run in. if you look at all my shoes the wear in them is on outer part of my foot and these shoes were made for people that have feet like me. They def are great for all terrain even though sometime a rock get wedge in the cracks of the shoe but every shoe has that problem. I'm looking to get the new ones cause i've worn out my pureconnect which I'd have to say is the only faulty on these shoes. But like any other shoe they wear from use.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I have worn these shoes out because I wear them for everything - running, walking, cross training, every day shoes. They fit my arches perfectly. On runs of over 4 miles, I've noticed they make my back hurt. I can walk all day in them, but long runs feel like my heel is pounding directly into my lower back.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I absolutely love this shoe. I have high arches and used to get shin splints, but not with this shoe! It is so light and comfortable to wear, and I have gotten lots of compliments on the look. My feet are a bit wide, and I can feel that in the shoe (if I wear them for an extended amount of time, they start to hurt the side of my foot), but someone whose feel are a more average width will have no problems with them.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I find that I need slightly more stability - which this doesn't offer. I will hopefully try the Pure Cadence style next. Other than that, these shoes are great, I run in them regularly and love to wear them just when I need a comfortable shoe for continuous walking.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I was a little nervous purchasing these shoes because several people commented on them running small (I wear a size 12 so I can't order up), but I have a narrow foot and I liked the colors so I thought I would give them a try. These shoes are perfect! I love this shoe so hopefully it will stay around a while!

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I have relatively narrow feet, so the fit is more snug and secure than squeezing for me. I was unsure about the wide toebox at first but now I totally get it! These shoes will help me work on my form as I start training for my first marathon.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: So, it must be me - read all of the glowing reviews, but was immediately concerned about how tight this shoe fit (even with the reccommended 1/2 size up order), and as soon as I stood up - woah! There is a large "cushion" that hits just behind the arch at the outside of the foot that is quite noticeable. It felt awkward to walk on, but went for a short 1 miler anyway amd came back with a pain on the outside of my L knee. Waited 2 days, went out for 2 miles, same weird cushion, same pain. Bummer. FYI, I have previously run in Vibrams and Newtons, both of which feel truly nuetral. Road Runner customer service talked me into a pair of Nikes, but feel I might be back to Newtons in a couple of weeks ($ - ouch!)

Comments about Womens Brooks PureConnect Running Shoe: I've had this shoe for about 8 months now. I am a small-framed (5'3, 120 lbs) woman; with high arches. I initially used this shoe in rotation for speedwork. The past month or so I've used them more as preventive/protective against blisters and injuries. They just feel great. I'm close to 130 miles in them, and they are just starting to wear some. A close friend of mine has a much larger build (6'4, 250 lbs) and his started to wear at about 50 miles. I think that is generally the case with minimalist and doesn't say anything bad about brooks. All in all, I will probably get a new color in a few months and LOVE these shoes :)
