Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: After dealing with knee issues for the past year, I came to the conclusion that the Nimbus updates were messing me up. I have been wearing Nimbus for 10 years and the knee pain started with the 12s and lasting through the 13s. Something about the Brooks Pure Flow called out to me so I took the jump....and I have never worn the Nimbus again. There is no heavy structure like the Nimbus, the Flows are light and airy. They almost force you to land midfoot and push off with the ball (which has alleviated my knee pain in the first week). The heel feels like it is lower than the rest of the sole, which further encourages you to land off your heel. It's just a totally different running experience, one that I love. The forefoot is flexible and cush so my toes haven't gotten sore (nor the top of my foot). Apparently these work my stabilizers more as my hips and inner thighs are noticeably sore after runs. I just love them. I have mid-high arches and I was worried about arch support, but my arches haven't hurt at all. Most of all, these shoes just feel like slippers. I can't say they'll work for every body, but they are definitely worth a try :)

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I used to have mizuno wave runners and developed major hip and knee pain. Looking for a solution all research led to forefoot and and minimal/barefoot running shoes. My first pair of minimal heel/toe drop shoes were newtons, which severely hurt my right foot. I couldn't get used to the lugs either. So t then I found these. I love that they are light weight, minimalist design but still with cushion, which I felt I needed for those long runs. I wasnt ready to go completely barefoot or minimalist, I wanted something in between, and this was it! I originally tried the pure connect which felt amazing on my foot except for the back of it digging my achilles so badly I immediately got blisters. I then tried these and I am so happy! They feel great, are so comfortable and I have no hip or knee pain.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I was a bit hesitant when I first put these shoes on, as the heel drop feels quite different at first. Almost like your calves are being stretched. But that feeling quickly disappears as soon as you run in them as they guide your feet to a comfortable and natural feeling midfoot strike. There is also more cushioning than you would think. These shoes just make you feel fast! Best use is speedwork or fast paced runs, and they feel great on the treadmill.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I bought this shoe as a lightweight trainer to alternate with the Brooks Ravenna and have ended up basically using it for the majority of all my workouts and on all surface types (track, road, trail) I use it for racing 5K's to marathons and find it to be light enough and feel fast. My legs don't tire out as quickly during runs and I feel better the following day, unlike after wearing other shoes. The width is perfect and the toebox nice and roomy. I hope Brooks continues to make this shoe exactly the same in the years to come!

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: In 35 years of running, I have never felt so good. Every step is comfortable and I feel great the next day too. Wide toe box, snug around the arch so no slipping, super comfortable, great shock absorption, and light as a feather. Fabulous shoes! I do around 50 miles a week, marathon training.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I felt like Goldilocks looking for something just right. I was a fan of Mizuno Nirvana but the Nirvana 7 just didn't feel like the one I owned so I bought Wave Rider. Immediately shin splints happened. I returned if for Asics GT2160. This shoe didn't have any flexibility whatsoever and I couldn't get used to the gel. Along came Brooks Pureflow. They weren't kidding about how pure it flows. I like how it hugs my instep and not too snug in the toebox. It's very light. I'm not a fan of black running shoes but the blue/green accent makes up for the dullness of black. I've yet to test it on pavement, this weekend for sure.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I bought this shoe as a walking shoe even though it is a running shoe. I am a runner, but I keep my running shoes separate from walking. This is, hands down, the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn in my entire life. I am wanting to purchase another pair but am not crazy about the color selection for the Pure Flow 2.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I usually wear Nikes but wanted to try something different, with a little more structure. These shoes (in Purple) look fun, but they dug into the top of my feet even when loosely laced. I have very high arches and this is a problem with many shoes for me, so it's probably me, not the shoes.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I bought this shoe for walking because I wear a separate pair of shoes for running. This has been, hands down, the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I will be purchasing a second pair.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: After having read/heard so much about how wonderful these shoes were, I purchased a pair. I run an average of 35 miles a week and only wear Brooks shoes, rotating usually 3 different pairs at a time: now Launch, Adrenaline and PureFlow. After experimenting with other brands, Brooks suits me the best. Pureflow, however, is not a favorite and I only use it now for runs of 4 miles or under. Maybe because they are pretty much flat (to foster mid-foot striking), I feel as if I'm constantly going up a hill. It tires me incredibly: a 4 mile run feels like 8. I'm by nature a mid-foot striker, so redundance can be the problem. Also, now I know that flat shoes are not for me. Otherwise, they are well cushioned.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I love this shoe. Brooks has a winner in the Pure Flow. For a long time I have thought that most shoes were over engineered and seemed to fight with my feet. This shoe feels like it is a part of my feet and allows for the natural motion while providing great support and amazing cushioning. The two features that I particularly like are the elastic arch support which gives a great and natural fit and the lower heel which places the foot in a more natural position. I hope Brooks will continue to make this model for a long time. It is a winner.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I loved these shoes the second I put them on. The color, the comfort. Unfortunately, after my first five mile run I realized they were not the shoe for me. There is nothing connecting the tongue to the shoe and it shifted greatly during my run causing chaffing on the top of my foot. I stopped a couple times during my run to adjust it and figured it would drive me batty on a longer run. I took them back and am trying the Pure Connect...disappointed as I loved the purple!!

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: After enjoying the Nike Free Run 2, decided to try Brooks Pure Flow. Love the comfortable fit and great impact cushioning for such a lightweight shoe. 2 small strikes. The tongue slides around; would be nice if it was integrated into the upper. And my custom orthotics did not fit, they were too wide. Found this out after first run, thought shoe was too narrow in forefoot. Took them out and compared to the ones that came with shoe, they are wider. They fit well with my Nikes and Salomons, so I assume this Brooks shoe is just a little more narrow than those. However, thankfully, I was able to run with the inserts that came with them to no detriment.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: Tried a "minimalist" type shoe at the recommendation of a Physical Therapist. Got these and they have become my favorite running shoes. Love the fit, the weight (very light!), the comfort. Took a few miles to get used to them- had sore calves the first couple runs in them. Love them so much, just got a second pair.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I pre ordered my first pair directly from Brooks and was immediately impressed with how they fit right out of the box. Two days after I received them I was scheduled to run a Marathon and although I didn't run it in these shoes, looking back I am certain I could have.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureFlow Running Shoe: I took this shoe out for 8 miles as soon as it arrived, and was impressed how great it felt right out of the box! Very snug, very fast! I like how this shoe guides my foot to more of a midfoot strike. Not as comfortable as other shoes running steep hills, but I don't do much of that anyway.
