I bought these shoes at the store in Tempe and the workers were great. They took care of me and sat on the bench with me while I tried on every shoe and asked what I thought about it. When I got back to San Diego I took my friend to the store in Mira Mesa and all the did was drop off 4 different pairs and said pick the one you like. I felt like they didn't care because they knew that if someone came in that they would leave with shoes unlike the Tempe store where they had to work with the customer and make sure they were happy. I have gone in twice to the SD store and have not been very pleased with the service.
I went through the whole process of getting my running gait analyzed and then tried out a half dozen pairs of shoes. These felt the most like I was "wearing a slipper" rather than a shoe. It just felt soft around my foot, but also (again through video analysis) supported my ankles and kept my footfalls straight. After the purchase, I ran 3 miles hard and it absolutely felt easier than using my last running shoes. Then ran a 5K race and they still felt great. No "breaking in" required with these. They rocked it right away. Look forward to many months of safe running in them.
the best all-round shoe
So I run about 10 miles a week, Mostly on asphalt. I know that's not much but I've been doing it for over a decade now so that means I've bought a lot of shoes from Nike, Newton, Mizuno, Asics, and New Balance. This is by far the best shoe I've owned. It's grip, balance, cushion, ride, and fit make it a perfect all around training shoe. The Brooks DNA mid-sole makes all the difference, if you haven't tried it or its been a while you need to try it they made it better! My only gripe is the color selection, but don't let your fashion sense stop you, they're worth it
Great value and true middle of the road
I am a 6'1", 185lb keen 1/2 marathoner and was having achilles problems. Adrenaline 13 were too firm & inflexible, 2170 were nice up until 10 miles but the Ravenna 4 gave great cushioning and all the support I needed to not get injured. They are as advertised - the true mid-ground between cushion and support. I get the foot movement I want and a soft ride for 13.1 miles with just enough stability. This shoe's performance held up after the miles when others couldn't. I bought another 2 pairs in case Brooks changes the recipe on the 5.
Terrific cushioned trainers that offer mild stability which I need or get PF flare ups. Even with the stability, they remain flexible without feeling like a brick - the usual case with stability shoes. The arch wrap is a great innovation as the shoe feels very supportive and secure. Read a couple of places that the shoe was narrow - not true. I have an average to wide foot and fit well into these. Ditching Asics after many years as their cushioned trained no longer offer even modest stability.
Best Marathon Shoe Ever!
I went from running two marathons in Mizuno Wave Creation 14's (foot would hurt and cramp up by mile 18) to these Brooks Ravenna 4's and it has made all the difference in the world. Absolutely no foot pain or cramping through mile 26 at The New Jersey Marathon. I am so grateful to have found such a light weight and well cushioned shoe. This isn't your typical stability shoe and you can't beat it for the cost!

Excellent transition from the Ravenna2
After running on Ravennas 2 for a while, I was very concern about changin to a different shoe.
I now run on Ravenna 4, around 40 miles a week and I just feel it is a great show.
I run outside and the shoe it is just perfect for any condition.
Run no matter what the weather is and for me a show that can dry quick it's very important, after running a couple of times while raining the shoe dries quick and it does not get heavy.
Best shoes EVER!
I was having issues with shin and knee pain with my old pair, and also had some movement in the front part of my foot that didn't "feel right" in my old shoes.
Tried these Ravenna and within 2 seconds I KNEW these were great - they felt like PART of my foot! My first run in them - 22k - was like I was running on clouds and I had NO shin or knee pain at all.
Can't get any better than these.
For me, the perfect shoe
I run 30 miles a week. For years ran in Asics, which seem to self destruct in a short period of time. This shoe feels like it was made for my foot. Good pronation control, and just the right amount of padding without feeling clunky. I have the green shoes, and I must say, they are high visibility... You may not want to wear these casually, but for my money, they are the best running shoe for a pronator, on the market
Excellent trainer and long distance race
I run about 40 miles a week and I'm always in training for either a full or half marathon.
I started wearing the Ravenna 3's and now the Ravenna 4's and I love them.
They are a great trainer and long distance race shoe. Good comfort and excellent support.
Looking forward to the Ravenna 5.
I wear them out quickly. I'm not sure if its the shoe or the miles.
Form v. Function Fail
This was about my 4th pair of Ravennas and they still do well for me as far as the right amount of cushioning and stability, but the vinyl strap halfway up the lacing presses on the top of my foot and it starts to hurt over an extended period of time. Not a problem if I put them on for a run, but I can't wear them much after that. i hope this is changed in the next model since the strap apparently was just added to look cooler.
Changed Manufacturer Mistep
I won't even try them for ten feet. I have laced them ten ways and I cannot get a system that doesn't bind the bottom eyelets and crimp down on my foot. Total let down. The construction shows defects and looks like I will wear them out in a month. I was so excited to get my new shoes and now and in the doldrums of waiting even longer after a return and repurchase of a better brand. I am sorry Asics and Mizuno. Just scratch Brooks off the list.

Good shoe, good price
I am a former runner, that now has had a bilateral hip replacements. I now do a lot of speed walking, and was using Saucony, but had been recommend brooks to use as well. These shoes felt good right out of the box and were true to size. I have only had them a couple of weeks so I cannot comment on their durable, but they seem like they will be ok.
I'll keep buying Ravenna's
I have purchased all the models of Ravenna's over the years. It has kept me from having any injuries or knee problems over the year regardless of doing a short run or running a fifty miler. The Ravenna 4 is a continuation of a successful product. My only compliant is that I wish they were less expensive.
It provides good cushioning at a relatively light weight.
I bought these to replace my Saucony Progrid Guide 5 which I loved but have put around 500 miles into.Atfirst fitting I was worried that they seemed to snug around the mid foot but I now love the feel. They seem very light and also very responsive. I run around 20-25 miles a week and I plan on using these for all my training. These are supportive but not overly so.

Bravo Brooks, Bravo!!
Love the Brooks ravenna, loved the first version, hated the second. Liked the 3rd. Tried on the 4th and I was taken back to when I first tried on the original! Liked it soo much that I bought two pairs right away! Can't wait to get some long miles in these!
60-80 mpw, marathon focused training. 6'5" 175 lbs.
Best shoe ever, Supper comfy!
I have went to runners den for my past two pairs of shoes. Road runner is so much better! I am blown away by the staff and the amazing shoes they put me in. I had a double fusion surgery so a great shoe is very important to me. Runners den actually had me in the wrong type of shoe.

Great shoe so far
I currently run 40 plus miles a week training for a marathon. I keep looking for the magic show that'll make my feet feel perfect. So far, these are the best I have found. Not perfect but they feel good. Took a little while to really break into comfortable.
Had four pairs of Ravenna 2s. Got the 3's and wasn't too impressed. The 4 is a great update. Feels as good as the 2s. Five miles out of the box. I tend to heel strike and there is plenty of cushion. Highly recommend these shoes.

Love the forefoot - don't love the heal
Love the forefoot feel - just right in thickness and firmness
The heal compresses too much to the point it feels like two different shoes when running - pour transition from mid-foot to toe off.

Ten Toes Up for the Brooks Ravenna Four
I run about 30 miles/week in these shoes. I've put about 100 miles in them. So far so good. Some short runs, and a few 14-16 milers. Even some speed work. They're light, comfortable and offer the right level of support.
This is my second pair of Ravenna's. The price and comfortability is hard to beat. Eventhough I ran out my first pair in 7 months due to a breaking down of the coined Brooks DNA sole, I still feel like I got my money's worth.
Lives up to the hype
I run 4-5 times a week. I have recently used brooks adrenaline and asics gel neo 33
These fit more securely thru the midfoot and offer great cushioning while correcting pronation. Very smooth ride
Tough to leave this one at the store
This shoe was purchased in a two pair deal because it was hard to decide between this and the Trans 12...so I bought both. Although the Trans 12 is more durable, this one is more comfortable. I am pleased.
Great right out of the box
I have only run in these four times so far, each time for 8-10 miles. They were great from the start and already are my new favorites. I expect great durability based on the quality of construction.

Ravenna 4 -- Nice Shoe!
I run 3.5 miles per day, 5X per week. Had been running in Muzino Wave Creation 13 but they just got too heavy. I decided to give a lighter shoe a try.
Howard (works at Microsoft)
Great shoe. Nice cushioning and stability control. However, I exchanged it for the white/red. I did not care for the green color.
Michigan City, IN
better than the earlier models forefoot cushion much improved like the bright green color with bright yellow laces
I will buy these shoes again!
Best shoe I have ever had for running. I am a scholar athlete. Run 60 - 70 miles a week! Love these shoes!!!
Brooks Ravenna 4
I love the added cushion and the Right amount of support. Makes for a really
