Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I have a hard foot to fit. I don't have great arches, but I'm not flat-footed either. Also, I have sensitive feet. Many shoes irritate my feet or ankles. I always feel sorry for the shoe salesperson that has to go through all my trials and errors. However, these shoes work for me. I used to run, but at 67 I mostly walk 3 miles, 5 x's a week and use the gym for weight training. I think these shoes would be good for running, if I could still run. I came off of a New Balance shoe and it was terrible. It made my feet rotate outward. The new shoes just hold my feet in great alignment. My only negative, is that for me the shoe runs just a wee bit narrow...but not so much that it hurts...and I think a larger size would have been way too large.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: The shoe doesn't bend or breath. . I've never had pain in my feet or skins. Now both are throbbing. The salesperson talked me into pads for the shoes, which I explained I don't like. I waited to long to return, or I'd take them back.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I began running last year when I started getting sore knees and back, due to my overpronouncation. I went to a shoe store to get fitted (with my shoe dog list in hand so I could compare) and Brooks Trance is what they fitted me with. I came home and ordered them. I ran the rest of the year injury free. I love these shoes. I am on my second pair this year, running 20 miles+ with them a week.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: This shoe is amazing. After 4 knee surgeries my legs and knees were extremely fragile. I have tried countless shoes. I worked out in the adrenalines which were extremely great for support but definitely not enough cushioning. I put these shoes on and omg! Best brooks shoe ever!! Even had to by amother pair.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I moved to the 12's in January 2013 after I set a 5 mile race PR in my Trance 11's and officially retired them. At first, I didn't like the 12's. I felt like they were heavier than the 11's and it felt like I was running in shoe boxes rather than shoes. After 25 miles, I nixed them for the Brooks Adrenaline 13's. I wound up training in the GTS 13's for 3 months for a half marathon and 10 mile road race. Once I started getting into longer runs of 8-13 miles, my feet were hurting a lot. It hit me that my feet were missing the extra cushioning aka "running on clouds." I recently brought the Trance 12s back into the mix and my feet couldn't be happier. I rotate them with my Adrenalines during the week and only use my trance 12's on my weekend long run.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I bought these because I was having problems with the Gel Kayano 19's and knee pain. These shoes are pretty good stability shoes but I did get some inserts for them because they're pretty stiff. I run 45-50 mpw on paved surfaces and some all-weather track so we'll see if they hold up as I've only been in them for a week.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I wanted to wait awhile before writing this review on my favorite brooks line;), just to be sure they didn't accidentally ruin them with their "updates". Well, 1.5 months and 2 half marathons later, I think it's safe to say this is STILL my go-to shoe! It took a couple of weeks to adjust to the new Trance 12, as I continued to rotate them with the trance 11, but I didn't need to break them in or anything. I just couldn't figure out if I liked them or not because they felt so different from the trance 11! And so the story goes.......I fell in love. They're much lighter and allow my feet to breathe better than the previous model. I love the rounded toe box too (which may make them seem "smaller" to some people). I ordered my regular size and as always, I had no issues running 9 miles in them the first day :).

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I work out at the gym and love how this shoe feels with my inserts. I have a high arch so the only thing that could make this shoe better is a little more arch support. I have hip and ankle issues and the first time I put these shoes on with the inserts all the ankle pain went away. As a result my hip problem is improved.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I have never written a shoe review but had to for these.I am a marathon runner and have put put in a lot of miles over the past 13 years and 30+ marathons. I have orthotics and pronation issues, and the right shoes make all the difference for me. . I've worn Saucony Hurricaines for years, switched (back to) the Asics Gel Kayano, and then found the Brooks Trance 12. I am so, so happy with them. They are stable, well cushioned, light, and nice looking. Whoever figured how how to keep the tongue of the shoe from sliding to the side should get an award. If they were offered in a wide, I might try that option, but my wide feet do fine with thin socks. I have found my match. Brooks, please don't change them!

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I went in to replace my worn-out Saucony Hurricanes and the employee at the running store strongly recommended I try these shoes. When first trying them on, they felt great. Very lightweight and cushiony. But when I ran in them, the issues arose. I felt as if the shoe was trying to overcorrect my normal pronation, and putting a lot of pressure on the upper-outside of my feet which felt raw during/after running. In addition, this threw off the arch support that my high arches need. The overcorrection also gave me knee pain. The shoe feels too narrow for my larger-than-average feet. When doing lunges, my big toes were scrunched against the front of the shoe, so it also feels as if these shoes may run a half size too small. I gave these shoes the good college try, but ended up returning them and going back to the Hurricanes. I guess Brooks shoes just don't like me (the Adrenaline gave me shin splints).

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: Two weeks into this new Trance 12 and couldn't be happier. I walk about 50 miles a week and the feet are feeling the best ever. Loved my Trance 10's...couldn't do the Trance 11's so I down graded to an Adrenaline (disappointed). The 12 provides the best cushioning yet. Go for it! Already recommended to a friend and she loves them too!

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I started running with the Trance 10s 3 years ago and loved them. When it was time for a replacement I tried the Trance 11s which had a more narrow toe box, making them uncomfortable for me. I had hopes the Trance 12s would be wider but not so. I had to return these after a 2 mile run left my forefoot sore and squished. The cushioning was great, as was the flexibility of the upper materials. If you're looking for a replacement for the Trance 10s, keep looking.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I have been a Asics person for the past five year but had Brooks before that. I decided to give the Trance a try. When trying them on in the store I thought they felt a bit too big but when running in them I love them! Comfortable, light, and supportive. In my Asics some of my toenails were beginning to get bruised and fall off (sorry gross I know) but in my Trance Brooks all toe nails are accounted for and normal looking!

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: This is a great shoe if you need a wider toe box and/or if you have custom orthodics (because of the flat sole once you remove the generic orthoidic that it comes with). In other shoes, as soon as I'd get into higher miles (i.e. 30+), I would start to get aches, pains, blisters, and lots of general discomfort. I switched to Brooks last summer and have since run two marathons, many half marathons, and am training for two more marathons. I'm currently running 40-45 miles a week and my feet, knees, and hips feel great! I ran in the Brooks Trance 11 and they were nice, but I think the 12s offer a better fit and a bit more cushioning for a more comfortable ride.
