Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: The Brooks Trance 12 is a great training/race day shoe for longer distances. I use this shoe to run half marathons and long training runs because of the plush comfort and great stability that this shoe provides. I also have several pairs of Asics, but my Brooks is by far the most comfortable shoes for longer duration runs.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I LOVE these shoes! I had to try out 3 different pairs of shoes before I found this perfect shoe. I've put 230 miles on these and would love to get another pair. Brooks PLEASE continue to make the TRANCE shoes!!!!!!!!! I've tried other Brooks "stability plus" category shoes and they just don't compare to TRANCE,with regards to stability and support. Bring back the TRANCE!

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: This is a great shoe. Had the last edition of trances and really enjoyed them. It holds my feet in place with comfort. Other than the Barney the dinosaur colors, I like the reflective tape. You can definitely see my feet with these shoes on.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I've been running in Brooks since the 1970s. The Vantage used to be so great. Then the company deteriorated. Then the company came back. Then there was the Trance...okay!!! It felt kind of like the Vantage Supreme on the road. Now, every year, the Trance gets a little worse..unnecessary fitting modifications, narrowing toe box, sleezy materials beginning to return.less cushioning on roads, etc. . I ran marathons during the 70s and 80s, then 10k distances. Now I still run every day, shorter distances. I count on Brooks to keep me going...I am really disappointed in this shoe. And it is EXPENSIVE! Less glitz and a better shoe, Brooks! I am still digging out my old Vantage Supremes because the Trance is going downhill.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: After several different purchases from Road Runner, I finally found my favorite jogging shoe. I agree with the other reviewer who had to go up one whole size, rather than a usual 1/2. I went up only a 1/2 and prefer it that way, but my toes are very close. In comparison, the ASICS Gel Kayano 19 and 20s have at least a full thumb length more, which was too long for me. The arch support is excellent and holds true under the forefoot/toes, which has been hard to find. Only caution is this foot feels narrower than any I've tried. I don't believe I could wear an insert unless I did go up a whole size rather than a 1/2. I have an average arch and fairly narrow foot and still the shoes were very fitted. Worked perfect for me. I am a beginning jogger 3 days a week and walk about 3-4 miles per day also. I purchased the purple/yellow/white and can't wait to get the pk/black also when the time comes!!

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I am the captain of my high school cross team and we have a pretty rigorous training routine. THese shoes are AMAZING! I have issues with my shins and my quads and these shoes helped me with those immensely. My problems basically solved themselves because these shoes were so supportive and really kept my arches supported.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I am in love with the Brooks Trance 12! After running in the Asics GT 2000 for a few years, and loving those, I decided to try out Brooks! I am so so glad I made the switch! The quality of the shoe is phenomenal! I run about 15-20 miles a week, and my feet never hurt or feel tired after a run! I have never written a review for a product, but these shoes are just so wonderful that I had to this time!!!

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I use the shoes for road running. I run half-marathons and train 35-45 miles per week, primarily on roads, occasionally on trails. Sometimes I go hiking on trails, too. Since I started wearing this shoe (a couple years ago), I haven't had shin splints. I used to wear a different shoe, but I constantly had shin splints. I had no idea they were due to the shoe I was wearing until I decided to try the Trance and my shin splints were gone after about 2 weeks. The only thing I don't like about them is that my feet get sweaty when I run.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I am training for my first half marathon in September and needed new running shoes with great stability and comfort and this shoe is perfect! What a difference it's made in my comfort while running and how my legs and feet feel after. LOVE them!

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I walk/run every other day for 30 mins for exercise. I work on concrete- standing and walking 8 hours 5 days a week. I walk at least 25 miles a week at work and these shoes help lessen my plantar fasciitis pain. I have to buy a new pair every 3 months because my feet start to get sore, that's the only bummer about these shoes.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: Fits well. Moulded to foot, light to lift, but there when you land. Well done. Had been fitted with Trance 10, and loved them. Store had moved me up to a 9 from my usual size of 8 1/2. Couldn't wear the 11, tried a 9 in the 12 and it was too big. Looked at the Brooks site, they said if wearing the trance 10, in a 9, an 8 1/2 would fit. AND IT DID.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I just don't care how they widen out. I bought the b width, but they just widen out too much. I never had this problem with my other Brooks.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: These shoes are awesome! I ran with them right out of the box and needed no break-in time. I have flat feet and the arch support is rather good. The shoes are breathable and lightweight. They hold the rear of my foot stable without being too controlling. The color is cool and the overall performance of the shoe is excellent. I will defianetly be buying another pair!

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I have a hard foot to fit. I don't have great arches, but I'm not flat-footed either. Also, I have sensitive feet. Many shoes irritate my feet or ankles. I always feel sorry for the shoe salesperson that has to go through all my trials and errors. However, these shoes work for me. I used to run, but at 67 I mostly walk 3 miles, 5 x's a week and use the gym for weight training. I think these shoes would be good for running, if I could still run. I came off of a New Balance shoe and it was terrible. It made my feet rotate outward. The new shoes just hold my feet in great alignment. My only negative, is that for me the shoe runs just a wee bit narrow...but not so much that it hurts...and I think a larger size would have been way too large.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: The shoe doesn't bend or breath. . I've never had pain in my feet or skins. Now both are throbbing. The salesperson talked me into pads for the shoes, which I explained I don't like. I waited to long to return, or I'd take them back.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I began running last year when I started getting sore knees and back, due to my overpronouncation. I went to a shoe store to get fitted (with my shoe dog list in hand so I could compare) and Brooks Trance is what they fitted me with. I came home and ordered them. I ran the rest of the year injury free. I love these shoes. I am on my second pair this year, running 20 miles+ with them a week.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: This shoe is amazing. After 4 knee surgeries my legs and knees were extremely fragile. I have tried countless shoes. I worked out in the adrenalines which were extremely great for support but definitely not enough cushioning. I put these shoes on and omg! Best brooks shoe ever!! Even had to by amother pair.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I moved to the 12's in January 2013 after I set a 5 mile race PR in my Trance 11's and officially retired them. At first, I didn't like the 12's. I felt like they were heavier than the 11's and it felt like I was running in shoe boxes rather than shoes. After 25 miles, I nixed them for the Brooks Adrenaline 13's. I wound up training in the GTS 13's for 3 months for a half marathon and 10 mile road race. Once I started getting into longer runs of 8-13 miles, my feet were hurting a lot. It hit me that my feet were missing the extra cushioning aka "running on clouds." I recently brought the Trance 12s back into the mix and my feet couldn't be happier. I rotate them with my Adrenalines during the week and only use my trance 12's on my weekend long run.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I bought these because I was having problems with the Gel Kayano 19's and knee pain. These shoes are pretty good stability shoes but I did get some inserts for them because they're pretty stiff. I run 45-50 mpw on paved surfaces and some all-weather track so we'll see if they hold up as I've only been in them for a week.

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I wanted to wait awhile before writing this review on my favorite brooks line;), just to be sure they didn't accidentally ruin them with their "updates". Well, 1.5 months and 2 half marathons later, I think it's safe to say this is STILL my go-to shoe! It took a couple of weeks to adjust to the new Trance 12, as I continued to rotate them with the trance 11, but I didn't need to break them in or anything. I just couldn't figure out if I liked them or not because they felt so different from the trance 11! And so the story goes.......I fell in love. They're much lighter and allow my feet to breathe better than the previous model. I love the rounded toe box too (which may make them seem "smaller" to some people). I ordered my regular size and as always, I had no issues running 9 miles in them the first day :).

Comments about Womens Brooks Trance 12 Running Shoe: I work out at the gym and love how this shoe feels with my inserts. I have a high arch so the only thing that could make this shoe better is a little more arch support. I have hip and ankle issues and the first time I put these shoes on with the inserts all the ankle pain went away. As a result my hip problem is improved.
