I run 20 - 25 miles per week and race in 8 - 10 races from 5k to half marathons. These shoes have made me strike the pavement more on the ball of my foot, so my times have decreased as I age from age 69 to 73. This is my third pair of PureDrifts, one pair with 300 miles, one with 150 miles and a new pair with just 25 miles. They all cushion and fell great.

As a triathlete and long distance runner, the PureFlow's are a great shoe. I have actually just purchased my third pair (thankfully they are still made). These shoes are very durable and have a breathable top, which helps reduce smelly feet after long use. This a great shoe also if you like the feeling of running barefoot, but provides a small layer of protection. There is minimal drop from heel to toe. I recommend this shoe to any long distance runner.

I keep a small number of running shoes and switch from one to another to keep my training well-rounded. However, my pair of Pure Drift is my absolute favorite. The miles go by smoothly, and the support is right there throughout my run. At first, I experienced a hot spot on my right foot (base of my big toe). However, that went away after I switched to slightly thinner socks. Ever since, it's been a joy to run in them!

I have a pair 1/2 size up, but the most recent pair is true to size and that works even better.

Purchased these to use on occasion to give my feet a break from the Vibram Fivefingers. Nice shoe. Very close in feel to VFF's. Runs a little small so had to buy a larger size (1/2 size).

I was a big fan of the first generation Pure Flow, which was my introduction into minimalist shoes. I decided to try this shoe, because I read it had a large toe box and seemed similar to the Flow. At 6'5 / 205 pounds, I was concerned about this shoe being too lightweight at just over 5 oz., but have been pleasantly surprised so far. I haven't noticed any hotspots or irritation points, as I have read other reviewers experienced. The shoes are very light and comfortable,having a socklike feel. I have not run more than 8 miles at a time in them, but have found them plenty cushioned for that distance. Based upon about 100 miles run in them so far,I would recommend them even for the heavier runner.

Very good minimalist shoe but not quite perfect. The shoe flexes a lot and is very light and comfortable with a nice wide toebox. The rubber tread on the bottom is only on some parts of the shoe so you have to land correctly or you'll slip since the foam only areas don't grip very well, but this helps reinforce good form even if it takes a while to get used to.

My only negative is that the foam goes up the back of the heel partway and the top of it can dig into the back of your heel during long runs (10+ miles) and can cause some irritation even when wearing thick socks. Hopefully they fix that in the next version.

I read the book "Born to Run". We were born to run barefoot. This shoe will get you there. You have to progress into this shoe and develope other muscles in your feet and legs. Once there you will be a faster and better runner. It might not be for everyone, but it is a great shoe.

If you have tried barefoot running but wanted some more cushion this is your shoe The best alternative to bearfoot and with the cleaver insole with 4mm to 0 drop by removing the insole you have a true barfoot experience. I wish the sole had better traction as I use these in boot camp and even on dry concrete there is not much grip. Otherwise I would have given thes 5 stars

Very comfortable and light. I was surprised how roomy the toe box was. Is probably best for shorter efforts of 10 miles or less, however if you are used to minimal footwear maybe it would be fine for longer distances.

I am running in the Pure Drifts after putting >500 miles each on three pairs of Pure Connects. So far I have completed three 10 mile runs in the Pure Drifts. My likes include: light, breathable, barely there feeling, and flexible. I have no complaints yet.

As a lifetime Brooks runner, I had been disappointed by the first generation of the Pure project since I found the Connect to be rigid and conventional and particularly disliked the narrow forefoot, which did not support the splaying of the toes for forefoot running.
I was really excited to see that Brooks had taken the first generation criticism to heart and indeed designed an even more minimal shoe, the Brooks Drift.
Good cushioning, wide forefoot design and a minimal heel-to-toe drop are among the virtues of this shoe. It also feels fast and does not inhibit motion at any time while providing good sensory feedback from the ground.
Unfortunately, I find the overly bulky upper and asymmetrical lacing to be prohibitively irritating, it seems like the shoe is designed for "meaty" feet. While the elastic band remedies some of the looseness in the midfoot and heel, I am still floating around more than I like, I don't think downsinzing is an option for me, since the shoe runs true to length-check it out on Shoefitr and my comments might make more sense to you when you compare it to models you currently use.
