Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: I use this shoe at the gym. The first pure flow model was awesome. I ended up buying three pair. The pure flow II came with two changes I'm not crazy about.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: I run 4.5 hours per week and wear these shoes for 75% of that time. I like the feel and the fit but am not enamored by the lacing system, seems to squish up toward the toes.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: Ran in the Pure Flow 1 for 300 miles and really liked it. The only problem was the tongue moving to the side but it was not big of a deal. Was excited about the 2 b/c one of the improvements was the tongue problem. Unfortunately, it does not seem as wide and consequently my feet tend to hurt on most runs. The 1 also seemed to have a bit more cushion. Ultimately, I am running again in the 1 until I can find a suitable replacement in the minimalist category. I am 5'9", 160# and run 20 mi/week at 730-800 pace. I am open to suggestions for a minimalist shoe. Have been running in minimal shoes for about 3 yrs now.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: Love the shoes. I even got them wet running on the beach and still ran another 8 miles in them.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: The Brooks Pure series creators seem to know more about creating great shoes than most others. For me, this version is considerably better than version 1, and the improvement is mainly in the toebox. I have a wide forefoot, but the Pure Flow 2 accommodates it nicely. Some have said the 2 is narrower than the 1--I don't think so. In any case, the shape of the toebox is an improvement and allows for a solid ball-of-the-foot landing without pinching. I like the feel of the shoe on pavement, not too hard or soft but protective and yet supple. I do Chi and Pose running form, and this shoe is the best I've found so far at supporting my desired gait. Highly recommended.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: I am 6'1" 165lbs and run 30-35 miles a week. Recent 5K time of 19:25. Previously ran in ASICS Gel Landrith 7. Wanted to transition to a flatter shoe to get a more efficient foot strike. Have over 100 miles in the PureFlow2 and absolutely love them.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: Bought these for my transition from cushion to minimalist running. The drop from 12mm to 6mm toe to heel offset seems perfect, but the surprise was the extra power I got from freeing the big toe due to the extra width in the toe box.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: Nice shoes! Thanks for helping me find them.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: Shoes felt comfortable when put on, but after one minute of running my calves were is sharp pains. Had to take off shoes and walk home. Switched into pair of Saucony Kinvaras went right back out to run and was fine. Never had that happen with shoes before.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: Great shoe. I use it as a workout shoe and occasional runner, prefering my Brooks Ghost as my primary running shoe on pavement. My review is based on my use, which is not purely running.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: I really liked the Pure Flow 1(PF1). I ran over 300 miles before the mesh near my small toe started to rip on both shoes. I believe 50-100 miles were left in the shoes if not for the tears. I emmediately went to the store in pursuit of the PF2. I immediately noticed the shoe runs a 1/2 size smaller. Not a big deal if you figure this out prior to purchasing the shoes. I then realized the PF2 is more narrow than the PF1. Once again, not an issue if your feet are average width. I took them home and ran 7 miles right out of the box. No issues at all. No break in time needed. I also noticed the lace design changed from traditional to offset. This didn't change the fit of the shoes. I highly recommend this shoe to those who don't heel strike. Awesome.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: They put a 4mm wide strip on the top of the toe box for style. The strip starts in the front center and continues out and up to the eyelets. that strip rubbed the top of my toe raw on a 10 mile run.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: This is my training shoe. I put them and just started my session as normal. Second run was a 20 miler with no pain; hot spots or issues

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: Love these shoes. I've been running in New Balance Minimus for road running for the last couple of years and wanted to get more cushioning. It took a few runs to get used to the extra cushioning but now I don't want to run in anything else. My legs feel less tired after runs and I feel more efficient. Very happy with them.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: I ran a three mile trail run the first time out with these, they felt comfortable so I did a 12 mile road run the next day finding them to be comfortable, flexible and just enough cushioning for the run. I continue to use these for about 20 to 30 miles of my runs each week.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: Just so comfortable and light. Great fit for a wide foot since Nike Free are no longer wide enough with new styling across the top of the shoe.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: I run in Brooks and Saucony shoes for years and always felt these two brands were the best for fit and durability. I switched from Brooks Ghost and Glycerin to the PureFlow 2 to try out the minimalist type running shoe. The shoe does run slightly narrow and there are some pinch points on the top of my foot and at the (big) toe but it only affects my left foot. When I run however I really don't feel any pinch points. It's only when I'm standing in them. They feel great when running and probably the best shoe I ever ran in. The PureFlow 2 is light weight with some cushion to soften the blows when hitting the pavement. The heel sits lower and when I first wore them they felt weird but it did help me with a mid-foot strike and less of a heel strike. They also seem to help me with running up-hill. I switch back and forth to my Glycerins to the PureFlow 2 and I easily take off 30 seconds from my mile pace. My only complaint is that I put 71 miles on the PureFlow 2 and they are already showing wear on the heel. I would like to get more than 100 to 150 mile out of them especially when I'm use to getting 300 to 500 miles out of my other Brooks shoes. Maybe that is the price you pay for the minimalist.
