Comments about Womens Brooks PureCadence 2 Running Shoe: My daughter runs Cross Country. She loved the PureCadence and now she loves the PureCadence 2. She says it feels as good as the original and she loves the purple color and curved look of the laces. Her feet pronate and these shoes give her just a little bit of support to keep her in neutral.

Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks PureCadence 2 Running Shoe: brooks usually make a great minimalist trainer, but this one is not good for those of us who have been running in a traditional (12mm) heel drop for years and years. The inverted heel and minimal heel drop produced a lot of calf, achilles, and soleus strain for me. They would be great if you can run in a shoe with a minimal heel drop, but if you can't, stay away.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureCadence 2 Running Shoe: I read so much about this shoe and great things , I had to try it out. I've been using the highest level motion control shoes and even orthotics after a 2+yr battle with plantar fasciitis. I started trying to run without orthotics, which did lessen my knee and hip pains, then I started going toward less stability in my shoes which also felt better. I decided I wanted to progress into a minimalist shoe. I was apprehensive about the second version of this model as reviewers seemed to prefer the first model. I wasn't able to try on the original so I bought the Cadence 2. I did buy a 9.5 and I have NEVER run in a shoe smaller than a 10. It fits great and maybe because my foot tends to be wide. I love the heel cup and the cushioning. It feels like you're walking on one of those spongy toddler playgrounds. I wear this shoe a lot and actually don't like to take it off -that's how comfy it is. I just did my first race in this shoe (5k) and my feet have never been happier post race. I can't say enough good about this shoe.

This shoe is very comfortable. The flexibility built into the sole is excellent while still supportive and cushioning. Love it! Don't love the color, but not really a deciding factor for me.

Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks PureCadence 2 Running Shoe: I wear the Adrenaline and Trance with custom orthotics. I have very hich arches that fell and I over-pronate. This is the onle shoe I can actually feel the arch support in (with my orthotic). I love the low heal, love the cushioning, love the light weight. I felt fresh and ready to conquer the world afger my first run in them (hard 9 miles). I got shin splints during my second run (8 miles with speed intervals.) I will definitely keep these shoes because they are fantastic for my tempo runs but I am aware I may not get 300 miles out of them which makes them kind of pricey per mile. They felt a bit tight in the toe box initially but they did stretch out pretty quick.

I am a new runner (2 years) who has dealt with ITBS and PF, and I recently completed my first marathon. I am not fast (9-11 mm depending on distance) but I am steadily improving. Following the marathon I knew I needed lighter, zero drop shoes (ran in the Wave Enigma and Wave Creation) and tried the Pure Cadence.

I ordered the Cadence II as soon as it was available and was disappointed. They do not feel like the first shoe at all. The fit is totally different. They feel big-not snug like its predecessor. It will take awhile to break these suckers in! I average 30 plus miles a week, might need to add a few!

I anxiously awaited my new pure cadence2 shoes but was disaoppointed in the overall quality, change in lacing design and construction. The inner cushioning does not feel as snug and padded as the original generation. I am now trying to snap up the originals before they are completely sold out....

The upper has completely been changed for the worse, with a stiffer material and a different lacing systems that is more difficult to make comfortable. Additionally, the cushioning is too springy as to cause joint pain. Do not recommend. Even the color scheme has been made worse.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureCadence 2 Running Shoe: I had been waiting a while to try the Pure Project line but I am so prone to injury, I hesitated. I have fallen arches and have had injuries from shin splints(lasting for years at a time), PF, achilles tendonitis,and ITB pain. I have experimented with various models from New Balance, Saucony, and other Brooks shoes and I have to say this shoe has impressed me the most so far. I did a 4 mile tempo run 3 days ago in these shoes, then a 6 miler in my Ghosts, and today an easy 8 miles again in the Pure Cadence 2. My legs felt great after the 4 miler and they were a little tired today. I think when you move to a more minimalist shoe like the PCs, you recruit muscles that you wouldn't otherwise use with the more restrictive shoes. BUT, I do not have achilles or shin pain like I have had repeatedly after only 100-150 miles in my Ghosts or Ravennas. I think the Ghost and Ravenna are great models for me, and I am not ready to move them out of my rotation just yet (Ravennas are brand new :( ), but I am really looking forward to eventually moving towards the PCs exclusively. I may even give the Pure Flows a whirl! RRS had such a great deal today with the VIP 20% off that I took advantage of the original Pure Connects (for daily wear) and Pure Flows (daily wear or possible candidate for speed work) and bought a pair of each! I gave this shoe 4 out of 5 stars because I am not sure yet how these will hold up after additional mileage. It is typical for me to only get 150 miles out of a pair of shoes before I start having multiple issues and that becomes pretty costly. Time will tell but I am super happy with these so far!

Comments about Womens Brooks PureCadence 2 Running Shoe: I was excited to try the Pure Cadence 2 after wearing the first version since Brooks first introduced the Pure Project. I've used these shoes to train for Ironman triathlons and some marathons with no problems with them. The new and "improved" Pure Cadence are a lot narrower in the toe box, and run bigger in size length wise than what the description indicates. (If I was to reorder this shoe I'd order a full size smaller). The new lacing system, how the shoe tongue is stitched in, and shoe material makes this once great shoe, not so great anymore, and they just feel like they've "cheapened" them. I am going to order the first run of the Brooks Pure Cadence, as they're so much more comfortable.

Comments about Womens Brooks PureCadence 2 Running Shoe: I have used this on asphalt, both even and uneven bike trails, and also at a track. The shoes were comfortable straight out of the box, and I loved it. I ran several miles for the first run, no problem. It cushions impact, it grips the ground. However, although the shoes are ultra comfy, my legs got tired, not sore, just more tired than when I wear the Adrenaline. I can't explain it, but that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. If I wrote the review the first time I wore it, it would be 5 stars. After a couple of weeks, it is 4 stars.
