        These shoes are pure pleasure. Minimal but with sufficient protection for trail running, and very light. Extremely comfortable. They promote a mid-foot strike and fast cadence. Great sense of connection with the ground.

          This is an awesome shoe! I tried the PureCadence from the original line and just felt like it was too much, so I gave the PureGrit 2 a chance the second time around. I couldn't be happier. The shoe fits well, is aptly cushioned without being too much, and it works well on both trail and road. Finally, the outsole of the shoe is the most consistent sole in the Pure line. There are no lugs that stand out like there are in the Drift, Connect, Flow, and Cadence. The asymmetric lacing is comfortable as well.

          Let me first start by saying that I run happy and I am definitely a brooks fan.
          I have used several models of the adrenaline, pure flow and pure cadence; all great shoe.

          I tried the PureGrit1 several months ago, they were ok but the outsole did not perform well on wet surfaces so I returned them.
          I have been waiting since then for the new version of PureGrit2 which brooks claimed to have better traction and performance on wet surfaces.

          To my big surprise the PureGrit2 feels completely different from all the PureProject portfolio.
          This shoe is harsh, fields bulky, stiff and does not promote a good running form.
          I was not able to finish my 10 miles trail run since my feet were hurt too bad.

          I will keep buying and running with my books Pure Cadence and Pure Flow, but I will never wear a PureGrit2 again.

          Brooks R&D department, please test your shoes with the average runner (20-50 mi/week) which represents probably more than 80% of your potential total product volume.
          I'm sure you have tested the PureGrit2 with some elite runners, but I doubt you had targeted the right end-user segment to test these shoes.

          I hope my bad review would promptly get lost among many other great reviews, but I really doubt it. The PureGrit2 is pretty bad and needs to be disinherited from the PureProject family...
