Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: I use these for easy trail running (i.e., mostly fire roads and well-maintained single track, nothing too technical). They fit well on wider feet and have enough tread to handle moderate unevenness. The bummer is that the laces don't go through eyelets in the upper shoe, as they do with most Brooks shoes I've worn, but rather through very thin cords that are attached to the upper. One became detached from the upper after only a couple of weeks. The shoe is still wearable for now, but the laces are all wonky. Pros

Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: I bought these because I cannot run in regular road running shoes on the road. These fit my orthotics comfortably. I am 5' and 95# and got 318 running miles out of these and probably another 50 or so dog walking/hiking miles. These do not aggrevate my heel spurs or exasperate old running injuries. Sorry they are on the endangered list.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: I am short and stocky--5' 1" and 130lbs. I have wide flat feet which blister easily along the arch and ball. I usually prefer a motion control shoe, but from the very first run these have been perfect.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: trail shoes but I use them for everyday

Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: only worn once but was great in wet snow. The grip was super and my feet were not soaked. The toe box is generous so I can wear a heavier sock and my bunion did not wine after 5 miles of wet snow. This shoe fits a bit larger than previous models. Would like to be able to lace the shoe up one row higher so another set of eyelets would help tighten the shoe on my foot.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: I have to say... this is a quality shoe. Used them to backpack 500 miles on the Camino de Santiago in Spain. Fit comfortably right out of the box, no break in. I also used merino wool Injinji socks (those crazy toe socks), and after 500 miles I didn't suffer a single blister. Not one. Amazing. These shoes fit well, are very durable, and help me safe on the trail. No slips or injuries, although at the end my feet and knees were pretty tired. Quality product.
Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: Took me six different trail shoes to find the perfect one and this is it! Supportive and flexible. Transitions well and is great even on pavement. Seems to add a nice spring to my step and keep my legs fresh. Can't say much for the "water resistance"....soaked feet from morning dew at a trail race this weekend, but still well worth it! Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: I have always upped 1/2 size, but this time that didn't work. Cascadia 8 is a good 1/2 longer than the Cascadia 7 and the toe box is not as wide. I had to exchange my size 7.5 for a 7 and am still trying to decide if I want to keep the Cascadia 8.

Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: I use back hilly roads that intersect with logging roads and these shoes are perfect for my needs. No foot wiggle. Like all the other running shoes I've ever owned, I have to start the lacing one or two holes up; otherwise it's a very uncomfortable crack right across the top of my instep when I bend my foot.

Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: These are my first pair of trail running shoes. I've been running for 20 years, but mostly on the roads. I just started getting into trails and decided to invest in trail running shoes. I am a Brooks fan for road running, but I was open to anything for trails. These were my fav in-store and now definitely on the trails.

Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: This is by far the best trail shoe I've had. It provides protection and enough cushion without too much cushion. It's very durable and works for my wide, flat feet. I have bunions and a neuroma, and these shoes protect my feet from those becoming irritated. Definitely worth the money.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: I ended up returning the first pair due to a stitching error on one of the shoes (it was such a minor flaw but caused so much discomfort and blistered my two small toes!). I got a second pair because I was pretty sure I loved them if it weren't for that one flaw.... And it turns out I do! I do 8-9 mile runs on some pretty intense trails and no matter how steep it gets, these shoes continue to provide me with great traction! The toe box is quite roomy, even with my semi wide feet! I love it though. It almost gives me that barefoot feel (anyone who wears barefoot shoes would understand how amazing it is to have that extra room for your toes to spread). Cushion is just perfect..haven't had any discomfort or issues with this shoe !

Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: I walk the hills near our house on a regular basis and these shoes work perfectly for me. No break-in time, no rubbing or related aches or pains. The best pair of walking shoes I have had.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Brooks Cascadia 8 Trail Running Shoe: I had to short my workout because my feet started to hurt. Returned purchase for refund. This time they gave me money back but warned me that next time it would be a store credit.
