The shoe is high quality. However, the laces are horrible. They never stayed tied. She eventually tripped over her laces in gym and twisted her knee. As a result, I tried to change the laces out to another brand. This was extremely difficult due to the extra small size of the lace loops. It took me over an hour to get two pairs of her shoes re-laced. I hope Brooks goes with a different lace in the near future.

Comments about Kids Brooks PureFlow 2 Running Shoe: My son has been running in PureFlow since he could fit in a 1Y. The new PF2 has many of the same attributes, but is 1/2 size shorter in length than the original. So, word to the wise, if you think your kid needs a 3Y, you likely need a 3.5Y... Colors are just okay. Red and black are a staple, but would be nice to see green back in the line up.
