Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 3 Running Shoe: Comfortable workout and walking shoe with above-average support.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 3 Running Shoe: I've run about 30 miles so far with these. I really love these shoes, but I have little to compare them to. I returned to running after an 8 year hiatus (an ankle injury prompted me to take up road cycling.) I ran for a couple months on my 8-year-old Asics Gel Landreth before buying a pair of Pure Flow 3s. I have been working with my stride to shift to a fore-foot/mid-foot strike and I wanted a shoe with a lower drop.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 3 Running Shoe: These shoes have stretched in the five or six times I've worn them. They no longer provide support and tend to slide side to side on corners. The ball of my foot is no longer snugly encased. I really can't recommend them. Thinking of taking advantage of my return privileges.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 3 Running Shoe: I'm a varsity cross country athlet , so I run maybe 50 miles a week, and this shoes have been perfect for me. So far its been maybe 300 or so miles in this pair and they seem to be holding up just wonderfully!

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 3 Running Shoe: I searched far and wide for a trainer (15-25 miles/week) that would help me avoid knee issues and shin splints. I am a neutral/supinator runner who historically ends up with shin splints after a few weeks. I am a long-time (20 years) wearer of Asics. RoadRunner Sports suggested I try out shoes with a low heel to toe drop (0-4mm). This was a nice revelation for me and a measurement that wasn't commonly focused on when I grew up running. I tried the Brooks Pure line and settled on the Pure Flow 3. The difference was noticeable immediately. They took a lot of care to design this shoe and it has a lot of nice details. The lacing system is great and ensures a tight fit that doesn't adjust during the run. The shoe is extremely flexible and lightweight and yet the cushioning is pretty impressive throughout the shoe. The heel is also well structured and not flimsy like the Asics Gel Lyte33. I have read that this shoes may not have a long lifespan, but after running almost three months injury free I'm not concerned about that. Love these shoes.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 3 Running Shoe: I used the PureFlow 2 for a half marathon and loved the shoe. I bought a pair of the PureFlow 3's for a full marathon and I like them even better. The fit is awesome. I am a light weight, underpronating mid-foot striker with high arches, so this shoe is perfect for me. My previous marathon shoe was the Saucony Kinvara, which was great but not as durable as these.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 3 Running Shoe: I use these mostly for power/condition training. Train 5-6 days a week with splits thrown in. I like to mix things up, running, sprints, intervals and find these shoes perform very well.

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 3 Running Shoe: I own the PureFlow and PureFlow2. I liked some improvements to the second edition but were disappointed by others. Loved the idea of attached tongue, anatomical lacing and better fit but reality was the tongue on the 2 felt funny and the new lacing seemed to make the toe box narrower. Version 3 seems to be pretty spot on so far. The lacing is changed slightly, the toe box is wider, the tongue connection is reversed (which for some reason makes a big difference), the toe split on the front is more centered, the outside platform under the heel is more rounded and not as wide and bulky, and they are a little less squishy feeling. I guess I'm excited because Brooks seemed to have taken runner feedback seriously and improved every area of concern. If you read reviews of the 2 most complaints were addressed with this new version. I've only run in them a few times but so far so great!

Comments about Mens Brooks PureFlow 3 Running Shoe: Good update for the PF3. 5'11"/178lbs, 25-30 miles per week. Have run in PF1 and PF2s for the past 2.5 years. Update feels a bit different, but not in a bad way; more arch support, and I can actually notice the nav band providing a secure fit in the midfoot. NOTE: I HAD TO BUY 1/2 SIZE UP IN ORDER TO GET CORRECT WIDTH IN FOREFOOT. Wore 11.5 in PF1 and PF2, wear 12 in PF3.
