Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: I came to these shoes after many others. I won't bore you with the list. I have had problem feet all of my life and as I have aged also low back pain. I found that a cushioned shoe definitely helped the back pain. I am a really bad supinator and most shoes do not address or even adapt for that. I wear custom orthotics that have helped greatly with keeping my foot straight and helping all surfaces bear my weight (I'm 5'2" weigh 116) instead of just the outer edges. That said, I still struggled to find shoes that did what they promised. In October I got my first pair of Gycerine 12's. I took them on a trip to the UK where my husband and I average walking 8-15 miles a day. I took my old Nike's as a back-up. I never even unpacked the Nikes! For the first time in my life my feet did not ache at the end of the day. Not even a little! When I returned home, I quickly bought a second pair. I wear them every day. I walk about 5-7 miles a day on pavement and grass. They have held up very well and still look nearly brand new. I find that they run very slightly wider than the Nike's (which is a good thing). They have a generous toe box which even with my thickish orthotics, do not crimp or pinch my toes. I wore a size 6M in Nike's and I wear the same size in these. They are pricey but you only get one set of feet. You owe it to yourself to take good care of them. Worth every penny!

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: I have worn Nike's for as long as I can remember. But no more. I walk 5-10 miles a day for fitness. I was looking for a neutral shoe. I am a severe under- pronator. High arches just make it worse rolling my foot even more to the outside. These are stabilizing without adding to that outward roll. They are very "orthotic-friendly". My custom orthotics slip in nicely because of the deep toe box. All other shoes I've tried with my orthotics crush my foot against the top of the shoe. These shoes feel slightly wider (maybe because my feet aren't crushed) giving my foot a more comfortable seat. And the cushioning is perfect. I was sure I would just have to live with painful feet forever. I'm in heaven! They are a little pricey, but worth every penny. You only get one set of feet. Take good care of them. And this is one of best ways you can.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: I'm a fitness instructor, personal trainer, avid bicyclist and walker. Once I found out from a professional that I needed a neutral shoe, I was put in the Brooks Glycerin, and have been buying them ever since. Suggested them to my sons as well, and they love theirs, too! Great shoe! Worth the extra cost.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: I am a neutral, very heavy runner with medium-high arches, so I need a shoe that offers a lot of support both overall and to my arch. However, I also don't like feeling like I have on a lot of shoe. In other shoes (eg, Nimbus, Ride, anything Hokoa) I felt like the shoe was sort of a big, padded, inflexible box around my foot. Nothing felt natural, and my feet just felt exhausted working so hard inside their padded box. The 12s give my feet/stride a great, natural feel while still feeling cushioned. To me they don't feel like a lot of shoe (YMMV), and I find them very comfortable for running even in 95+ heat.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: I have been a Brooks Glycerin advocate for years but this new version did not fit at all, too narrow everywhere, my feet hurt, felt inexpensive and no bounce...very dissapointed, returned them next day.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: I plan on using these for a marathon so I'm just getting used to them. I've used Asics Cumulus for years and love them. I have a pair of those to use as well. I previously didn't feel good in Brooks but whatever is different w/the Glycerin works well! I have ridiculously high arches and these work well with them. I do always get insoles so that helps too.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: Great shoe for the price. You will not be disappointed with the performance this shoe gives the average runner. I find it is a great training shoe and used it to train for the NYC marathon this past year. The shoe is great to travel with as it is super light.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: I like the new design of the 12, but know the heel is less wide than the 11 so I have found it a little less stable. If you are prone to ankle injuries I would not recommend. I did find that the new heel design does not wear down as much as the 11, so it has been more durable for me as a heel striker. This is my second pair of the 12s and I would recommend for overall comfort, durability, and performance.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: I LOVE the Glycerin 12. I have currently worn out the pair I have so I decided to buy another pair just in a different color - the navy/raspberry. Online the raspberry color looks to be a coral/red so you can imagine my surprise when I opened the box to see what I thought would be raspberry (as pictured online) was actually bright PINK! The color is absolutely nothing like pictured on the website. If you like pink you'll love them, unfortunately pink is definitely not my thing so back they go :-(

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: When I pulled these shoes out of the box--I didn't think they would provide much support, but was pleasantly surprised! This lower profile shoe provides just enough cushion and support.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: A Road Runner sales person recommended Brooks to me for the first time over a year ago and they worked out fine. Time for some new shoes and tried on a pair of Brooks and Nikes, then again the sales person steered me to a more proper shoe for me, Brooks Glycerin 12, and they are awesome. They add a slight bounce to my step. Bought my regular size and they fit very nicely on my semi wide and very flat feet. Good stability, no pinching on my toes, and I don't feel pressure on my heels. My opinion of this shoe after a month of wear is that they are great. I use them mostly for pavement walking (3-6 miles a day) but also exercising. I am currently looking for them in Ombre, which is no longer available here in my size.

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: This shoe (and the others of the same model I've worn out before it) have allowed me to become a consistent, long term runner. Before I found these, I was always getting overuse/impact injuries. I haven't significantly changed my gait, so it must be the shoes! I have a narrow heel and a normal to wide forefoot--these fit well. I also have a big toe that curls upward and need a tall toe box. These have that--so holes in my socks!
Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: best brooks I've worn for walking (wish I could run)

Comments about Womens Brooks Glycerin 12 Running Shoe: Was running in minimalist sneakers for the past year, and developed tendonitis in both knees. Took time off, went to see doctors...nothing worked. Until now. The Brooks Glycerin sneaker seems to have corrected my problem. So happy!
