Pro's: It's well built, it has great stabilty. If you're looking for that, you can stop reading.

Cons: It is not a "level 4 cush" shoe. These are "big" shoes. They have a very high stack height, lot's of upper material (excessive). They feel slow and clunky. Also, given all of that, they don't feel responsive. The midsole material feels a bit dead.

I know this contradicts all of the other reviews...

Overall a good shoe. Didn't like it as much as the 5. I'm a midfoot striker, 190 pounds, and to me it didn't lay down as well as the 5. It seemed to be more clunky and a lot more shoe than the 5. The 5 is some much smoother in transition. The 5 is a GREAT shoe, why change a good thing? I very much hope the 7 resembles the 5.

My fiancé recommended these shoes as a walking shoe. These actually work out great for this purpose. The shoe isn't as a close fit as I would like them to be but it does hold my feet well. It also provide great support for my arch. For my running workouts, it's not as good as I expected. I would definitely buy these again as my walking and light workout shoes.

Wore this shoe for the first time this morning. The 6 is my first Brooks. Been running with Asics for many years. Very happy. Glad I bought them.

Ordered this shoe despite the 10.7 weight. Right out of the box I noticed most of the weight was in the heel which made me think it might be stiff; however, the forefoot is so flexible the shoe feels fast and light. The only caveat is that the instep is tight fitting meaning if you have a high instep you may have to adjust the lacing pattern to give yourself more room. And because the laces that come with the shoe are probably no more than 35 cm you may have to use longer laces. Bottom line, the shoe is so flexible you can adjust the lacing pattern without compromising the fit and feel. I use this shoe on average runs, but because it's so flexible it would work for longer runs as well.

I have worn each iteration of the Ravenna and didn't think it could get much better than the 5, but I was wrong. Brooks kept the same midsole and cushioning that the 5 had but updated the upper. It now offers a little more room in the toebox (which is a plus for me) without compromising the overall fit. The cushioning and support feels just as good as the 5 but the entire shoe feels better because of the improved fit. I would definitely recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a responsive, cushioned, semi-supportive trainer to use for everyday runs or workouts.

I've been a long time fan of the Adrenaline GTS series. Last year, on a recommendation from one of the sales guys at Road Runner, I grabbed a pair of Ravenna 5's. I was very stoked to get a lighter weight shoe without sacrificing the support that I got from other "stability" shoes. The Ravenna nailed it for me and I've pretty much been almost exclusive in them ever since. And the best part? The new Ravenna 6 is even better! A more comfy overall feel and an even smoother ride! It's my perfect shoe for long training day runs, yet light enough for faster workouts. Good job BROOKS!
