I purchased a pair of these Cascadia 10's 2 weeks ago and went for a quick run...WOW! I have "happy feet". These are the most comfortable trail runners I've ever had. I'm buying another pair just to wear for work.
Pros
Cons Best Uses
I always wear 2 different shoes and alternate to prevent injuries. I also have very wide feet and rarely find a medium width shoe with a wide enough toe box to feel truly comfortable. I primarily use Saucony for my road work, but have found these Cascades to be excellent when my routes take me onto dirt, gravel, trail, or poorly maintained streets. They provide excellent traction and stability, a good combination of cushion and support, and an excellent fit. I can even come off the trail and wear them all day for other chores and my feet never tire out. If you have very narrow feet, they may not be the right shoe for you, but barefoot or with a thin pair of sox for a wide foot or regular socks for a true medium they are a great choice!
Pros Cons Best Uses I've run in the Cascadias faithfully for about 6 years and couldn't be convinced there was a better shoe. Until the 10s came out. Brooks took out the extra lace hole in the 10s, so you can no longer "lock lace" the heel. Consequently, I can't tighten the shoe enough and my heel slips out while I run. I have absolutely no idea why Brooks would remove this feature, as it doesn't disrupt the integrity of the shoe for people who don't use it. Hope they bring it back for the 11s - in the meantime if anyone knows of a good trail shoe, I'm in the market.

My Brooks Cascadias are my favorite trail shoe - I'm not a super-technical trail runner but I don't have a thing to worry about when it comes to navigating slippery or rocky surfaces on the Midwest trails where I run and hike. They're so supportive and cushioned - but not heavy like you might think! Love me some Cascadias.
