This shoes felt great when I weighed 288 lbs and the still do 90 lbs later. From brisk walking when I first started to 25-35 miles a week as I gear up for my first Marathon. Great stability, comfort, and wears evenly. Great Shoe!

Liked this shoe a lot. It felt secure without being tight. Even without lacing the shoe up fully, my feet felt fine in the shoe. Just enough cushioning. Right out of the box they felt good and continued to fell good during a run. Get it as long as it is available.

I was never a runner. I started running when I was in my 30's. I would try to run and would eventually quit because my shins and knees would hurt so badly. I had heard about the different styles of shoes but thought it was just marketing bunk. I learned there was a difference. I'm 44, 5-11 @ 201...

Been wearing the Beast since it's conception and love it. 3 of the 04' version each lasting about a year. Couldn't run 6 miles before getting fitted with this shoe. 5'7" 206 lbs and this shoe takes a beating, not my back and knees like with other shoes. Gotta stock up before it's discontinued.

I've been wearing the Beast for years. They are the most comfortable, stable shoe I have found for my needs. I am 5'11' 57 years old,do 45+ cardio daily, weights, yoga, pilates, hike ect. I do cardio and weights in the the Beast. I have "duck" flat feet and moderate to severe pronation. I also love the d...

These shoes are God-awful. I am an overpronator and I have been running for nearly two years so I bought these shoes. Two issues: the stitching on the inside arch of the right shoe ate into my foot and made the nastiest blister you could see. Next problem: 10K (the sixth time I ran in these shoes) -...

50 years old, 5'10", 230 lbs, size 11. Run 3.5 miles, 4-5 times a week on the street. I've been running Beasts for 17+ Years. No knee problems. No foot pain or toe crunching. I don't know squat about over-pronation or motion control, but these babies are my ONLY shoe, and will be until they stop mak...

I'm disappointed in these shoes. I'm 6', 215, run 45 miles a week, and the toe box is way too narrow for me.

Sun, September 09,2007:
Now on my seventh pair of Beasts and they are by far the best motion control shoes I've run in. Pronation is controlled and the foot is well supported along with decent cushioning. Outersoles wear exceptionally well but heel area tends to compress after 200 miles.

Mon, June 11,2007:
I should be the poster guy for Brooks Beast. I run 30-50 miles a week and as a totally blind runner, EVERY FOOT PLANT is crucial! I train in Beasts and used the ST's for a recent half Marathon and Bolder Boulder 10K. Nothing but Brooks for me!

11.    Diana rated this product 2 stars
Mon, March 12,2007:
I hate to post the only negative review here but beware the Motion Control claims. This shoe exacerbated my posterior tibial tendonitis by allowing overpronation. Plus the toebox is way narrow (for me). I sized up for more toe room and ended up with even more lateral slop and pain. I highly reco...

I'm on my third pair and will keep ordering them so long as Roadrunner stocks them. I've worn Asics Evolution/Koji and Saucony Stabil in the past - the Beast combines the cushy feeling of the Asics and the rigidness of the Saucony for the best high-mileage shoe for flat-footers. As a plus for those ...

I've used the Beast all year. I run 50+ miles/week. I have very flat feet. I am 6'3" and about 200 lbs. I tried Mizuno and New Balance. The Beast gives the support I need and lasts for me. The Mizunos were comfortable, but only lasted about 300 miles. I am on my 4th pair of Beasts. I can't w...

Sat, September 23,2006:
I am 6'1" at 185 lbs. I have fairly high arches but still prefer to wear Brooks Beasts. The substantial motion control and padding allow for my genetically less then optimum 50 year old bone structure to pound the pavement (and trails) with far less discomfort then with other shoes. In addition, the...

Where have these shoes been all my life? I just purchased my first pair of Brooks Beast '04 after trying several other brands of motion control shoes for several years. The fit, support, and sizing are incredible. I couldn't be more pleased. I'm a shorter and heavier runner (5"10 and 220 lbs.) wi...

I've run on the Beast for 1 season and found it very good. I need the support being 55 with two bad knees. I tried a mizuno for extra cushion but went back to the beast after 1 run. I like it

I have run steadily 30-35 miles/week. I have run in New Balance before I could not find a durable shoe for a guy that pronates. I am 5'8" 160 lbs. I do not consider myself a heavy runner, however I have not had one problem with these shoes, very durable, and make you feel sturdy if you pronate. ...

Thu, February 09,2006:
I find these shoes to wear out quickly in large sizes. I have a pair that I run 15 miles a week on, and also weight lift for an hour after each run and I only get 2-3 months out of them. I do recommend for body builders to only use these shoes for running and don't even attempt to do any squats or...

I am a tall (6'5") runner with a medium frame and flat feet. Unfortunately I went through a painful experience in a half-marathon (compressed cuticles on my toes and blisters) until I finally found out about the Beast. I can't speak highly enough about these shoes. I just ordered my third pair. I th...
