Product Description:

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 - If you've tried other shoes with mixed results, look no further.

This shoe is so awesome that guys that try it on just can't pass it up. And if you own the GTS 5, you can expect the same fantastic fit with a soft, smooth ride and 5% less weight. You just can't miss on this one. The biggest improvement is the weight of the GTS 6. With close to one full ounce less weight and an even better fit, your foot will experience pounds of weight-savings over the course of a 20-miler.

Best for runners with a medium build and low to medium arches.

Specifications:

  • Shock Absorption: Heel|HydroFlow|Forefoot|HydroFlow
  • Toebox Width: Medium
  • Shoe Construction: Slip last
  • Midsole Material: Compression molded EVA
  • Outsole Material: Carbon rubber
  • Upper Material: Mesh|Synthetic leather

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

When I first put these on, they did not "fit like a glove" like my Asics 2010's. On the other hand, I have now put about 600 miles on them (one year, 50% on road), and they have 1) NOT hurt my knees, like the Asics did (these have better cushioning), 2) held up fairly well (although time on the tennis court sanded down the side (not bottom) rubber). The black rubber is still intact! Good enough that I am looking for another pair of 6's now in 2008. I hear the later versions are ?

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

Some of my favorite shoes I've owned. I'm a big runner (230 lbs) who likes light shoes, so I don't expect durability. I've usually run in ASICS GT-2*** models or Kayanos, and these are the first shoes I've owned that have never given me blisters. While no shoes last long at my weight, they have lasted much longer than the Mizunos I wore for a while, and almost as long as my ASICS. I've found the midsole cushioning to actually be more durable than my old ASICS.

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

I'm on my second pair Of Adrenalin 6's having previously worn Adrenalin 5's and tried Reebok roadrunner series and Adidas supernova. I love by Brooks and can't speak to highly of them. My shoes last 900 miles and I run mainly on roads through London - not a particulalry fogiving surface. I run 60+ miles a week (mostly with a 10lb backpack), weigh 185lbs and stand 6' tall. I've competed in marathons and half marathons in both of the Brooks designs and the 6 is a clear evolution on the 5. haven't tried the 7 yet but will when these need replacing towards the end of the Summer

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

When I bought these shoes in one of our local sporting goods stores, I thought that they would work for a large runner like myself. I'm 230lbs @5'11" and I'm running about 10 miles a week. I have found this shoe to be lacking in cushion; it just doesn't seem very comfortable. When I make my next purchase it will be online with RoadRunner Sports.

Running shoes are ...

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

Running shoes are personal preference, so understanding your own likes and dislikes first helps sift through the chaff written by others. I am a mild overpronator, 5'6", 140# who trains w/variety of surface, distance (up to marathon), and speed (including trackwork). My 'go-to' shoes were Asics DS Trainers for many years, but as those got heavier and changed in other adverse ways, as well as my desire for more cushioning w/age, I shifted to Asics GT 2XXX series, with occasional forays into Nikes. I prefer the firm (i.e. - responsive) ride of DS Trainers to both GT 2XXXs and Nikes, which were softer. This is my 1st pair of Brooks, so I lack the series perspective of other reviewers. That said, I find GTS 6s to be much more responsive than similar Asics/Nikes, the tradeoff being that they feel much closer to a DS Trainer or racing flat. I have no injuries w/them in several hundred miles, so I believe the GTS 6s simply feel 'flat' and are no less cushioned. I will buy them again.

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

These shoes are VERY STIFF compared to other lightweight stability shoes. They land "kerplop" from heel to toe. This has not changed after 200 miles. They feel better if you run fast. They are difficult for slow jogging. The cushioning, however, remains quite good. If Brooks could make this shoe more flexible, it would be worth 6 stars.

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

Excellent running shoe!! I tried them once I got them in and immediately felt like these shoes were meant for my feet. My only gripe is that the soles are too hard and slip. Living in the Seattle area good grip is important with all the rain we get and when I run with these I feel a lot of slippage. Hopefully as I break them in the soles get a little better. Definitely a recommend for anyone with a mild to moderate over pronator.

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

I will mirror other complaints about durability, but this shoe is one of the lightest I've ever owned. I tend to train in a heavier Brooks shoe and when I race in these it feels like I'm flying. I will continue to replace these as they wear out on me, and look forward to the advancement Brooks makes on this model.

Coming from a runner who has been at this for just over 10 years, they are the best shoes I have enver owned because of the secure foot palcement, snug fit, and good ride. This shoe for me, made the differance in helping me go those extra miles in comfort.

On my second pair of the Adrenaline GTS 6's (12 2E), and they have been great. The fit is exceptional for me - the mid-foot area is roomier than most shoes, including the Asics 2100/2110 (even the 2E), which I appreciate.

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

I love this shoe! I just ordered my fourth pair. I'm a moderate over-pronator. This shoe has caused me fewer problems (soreness, blisters, etc.) than any other I've tried, and I've tried everything RoadRunner has in this category at one time or another. My only complaint is durability. I have yet to get 350 miles on a pair, and had one worn thruogh the outsole to the misdole foam by 290 miles.

Comments about Mens Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6 Running Shoe:

After four years of being a die-hard supernova wearer, I decided to give this shoe a try. It was considerably lighter than anything I've worn before, and I had no ailments up to or during the recently run Air Force Marathon. The only bad thing about it was I felt it lacked solid heel stability, but I would definitely run in them again!
