Over pronater and 6'4"205lbs. First time buying a performance shoe. Training for my 1st 1/2 ironman. My 1st practice 1/2 marathon in these shoes was probably the most miserable, jarring, clunkety 2hrs of my life. forget any rythym of tempo. I would have been as comfortable with 2x4 tied to my feet. ...

2 pairs of this model of beast used for 2 marathons, 2 half marathons. 6 ft, 152 lb overpronator. I use blue superfeet. Snug fit; got my second pair in 2E. Upper fit/support of Addiction superior to me. Beast has more heavy duty midsole though and dissipates shock well even for someone of lighter we...

6'1" 278lbs. wearing size 11-4E width shoes. Thank God they come in wide! I am a slow runner/jogger. I have been batting with Plantar Facitis for a few months. I wore out my last pair of my old faithful Asics MC's that are not available anymore - don't you hate they stop making the reliable shoe...

I've been running in Beast's for what seems like forever and always very happy with the new model they've come out with but I'm still on the fence with this one. As stated by someone else, the toe box in these things is huge. It really feels like the front of your foot has way too much room. Sinc...

Had the Trance 5 before. This is a far better shoe. Even with the Superfeet inserts, you still get a comfortable ride, stability and feedback from the ground. A very reliable motion control shoe.

I'm really happy with these shoes. I have flat wide feet that seems to always hurt when I try to be active. For the longest time, I thought it was my arthritis that was causing the pain in my feet, it was the wrong shoes! Not only can I go on long walks now but I have started to run again just like ...

6'1" 200lbs. I've owned all the previous examples of the Beast and loved them all. Was excited when I ordered these because they were new. Kind of dissapointed. Just don't seem to have the cushion and support of past versions. I noted others have voiced the same issues that I have with the new ...

My first run with these provided more comfort than I've had in years, having cycled through Asics, New Balance, and Saucony (and I'd probably be with Saucony had they not discontinued my favorite).
A handsome, well constructed shoe for those with wide, flat feet like me. When I took them out of th...

Okay, so it has been almost a full year running with these shoes-- and since my first review-- I have no more shin splints and I don't need to ice down after the run anymore either. That is simply AMAZING to me... My only complaint is that there is no question I need a new pair every 4 months...

Awesome shoe, plenty of toebox room and handles my orthotic perfectly. I switched to this shoe after trying a Sacouny Grid Stabil 6 and it made a huge difference in comfort. I'll by a replacement pair once I rack up some more miles.

Fantastic shoe, I've been wearing NB for years. For my over 50 miles a week training, they are perfect. Been thru most of the popular brands(Nike, Adidas etc). Thanks

This is the best road running shoe that I've worn. They're very comfortable and really haven't worn much even with running miles a day. I've had the nimbus and kayano and these have been much better. I highly recommend this shoe.

I've been running in the Beast now since they first came out. One thing I do know, they hold up. I tried a New Balance shoe and it lasted 2 months. I've had at least 8 pairs and have had no problems with any of them.

WOW! Best out of the box shoe I have ever run in. I've been running on and off for the last 45 years and these shoes are the best ever. No more knee pain, no more plantar fasciitis or pressure points of any kind. Just ran five miles at a 9 minute mile pace and I feel like a teenager again. Thank y...

I have ran in the past three versions of the Beast and mostly loved them all. These did not feel the same as the others. I'm 6'2" 240 and need motion control. These are the best looking and lightest Beast I ever worn but these shoes have no arch support. Went back to the 2004 version.

This is my 4th pair of Beasts, and I'm somewhat disappointed in them. I'm 6'4', 215, and a heavy overpronator. My first 3 sets of Beasts, along with an arch support, got me back to running pain free. As soon as I put these on, I could tell they didn't have the same support in the heel. They are l...

I'm typically a fan of New Balance (991's) and purchased this shoe because they didn't have the 992's in stock at the local store. I tried these puppies on and I'm definitely pleased with this shoe. I wanted 2 pair but this was the only pair in my size. The coushioning is phenominal. I'm 6'2" 21...

I've always needed a good motion control shoe and used to run in Chariots. Years ago I switched to the Beast and found it to be a good shoe for my weight (215 lbs). After thousands of miles and a few marathons, I haven'y had any running related injuries. I find that the cushioning holds up well for ...

Not your typical, clunky, box-like fitting motion control shoe. My last pair of shoes were the New Balance 1122...these shoes are not even close in terms of the smooth ride, light weight (relatively speaking), and cushioning offered by the Beast. I'm an extremely flat-footed 180 lber who logs about ...

I have about 150 miles on these so far. Cushioning and support are still strong. Switched up from Brooks Adrenaline GTS6 due to lateral ankle pain. Took about a week to get used to the support and weight. After that, just a smooth running shoe. Minus one star for the lacing which pinches at the...

I just received them today. Great shoe. So much less clunky and heavy than previous Beasts. Love them. I don't know how anyone can say these have no cushioning. They are like pillows, and the fit is great. Hate the laces though. I'm gonna put the laces from my NB 857's in. We'll see how the M...
