I have been running marathons in the brooks beasts for the past 18 months. they are the only shoe that I can wear when I run. I am an over-pronater with flat feet so the extra control really helps. the only problem that I have with them is the back of the heel wears out on me after about 7 marathons...

I am 5'10", 160 lb, sz 13, always runner, 15-20 mi./week now. Beast9 has good cush & MC, but may not cure my mild a.m. heel pain. It stopped getting worse, tho. Nike Air Max been my fav since intro, but today's thinner air bladders easily punctured by thorns. Tried many other shoes, wasted big $.

I am in my sixtys and have been running all my life. I have worn just about every running shoe under the sun. Last year I bought the beast #9 motion control shoe. I have had my share of foot problems over the last 3 years and tried many running shoes but none has compared to the Beast. My feet are ...

6'3" 215 lbs, neutral runner. I have been wearing the Beast for 5-6 years. I have run a couple of marathons in this model and am buying another pair. This model is lighter and has less lateral support. They seem less stiff than the previous version. They work for me.

Over pronater and 6'4"205lbs. First time buying a performance shoe. Training for my 1st 1/2 ironman. My 1st practice 1/2 marathon in these shoes was probably the most miserable, jarring, clunkety 2hrs of my life. forget any rythym of tempo. I would have been as comfortable with 2x4 tied to my feet. ...

2 pairs of this model of beast used for 2 marathons, 2 half marathons. 6 ft, 152 lb overpronator. I use blue superfeet. Snug fit; got my second pair in 2E. Upper fit/support of Addiction superior to me. Beast has more heavy duty midsole though and dissipates shock well even for someone of lighter we...

6'1" 278lbs. wearing size 11-4E width shoes. Thank God they come in wide! I am a slow runner/jogger. I have been batting with Plantar Facitis for a few months. I wore out my last pair of my old faithful Asics MC's that are not available anymore - don't you hate they stop making the reliable shoe...

I've been running in Beast's for what seems like forever and always very happy with the new model they've come out with but I'm still on the fence with this one. As stated by someone else, the toe box in these things is huge. It really feels like the front of your foot has way too much room. Sinc...

Had the Trance 5 before. This is a far better shoe. Even with the Superfeet inserts, you still get a comfortable ride, stability and feedback from the ground. A very reliable motion control shoe.

I'm really happy with these shoes. I have flat wide feet that seems to always hurt when I try to be active. For the longest time, I thought it was my arthritis that was causing the pain in my feet, it was the wrong shoes! Not only can I go on long walks now but I have started to run again just like ...

6'1" 200lbs. I've owned all the previous examples of the Beast and loved them all. Was excited when I ordered these because they were new. Kind of dissapointed. Just don't seem to have the cushion and support of past versions. I noted others have voiced the same issues that I have with the new ...

My first run with these provided more comfort than I've had in years, having cycled through Asics, New Balance, and Saucony (and I'd probably be with Saucony had they not discontinued my favorite).
A handsome, well constructed shoe for those with wide, flat feet like me. When I took them out of th...

Okay, so it has been almost a full year running with these shoes-- and since my first review-- I have no more shin splints and I don't need to ice down after the run anymore either. That is simply AMAZING to me... My only complaint is that there is no question I need a new pair every 4 months...

Awesome shoe, plenty of toebox room and handles my orthotic perfectly. I switched to this shoe after trying a Sacouny Grid Stabil 6 and it made a huge difference in comfort. I'll by a replacement pair once I rack up some more miles.

This is the best road running shoe that I've worn. They're very comfortable and really haven't worn much even with running miles a day. I've had the nimbus and kayano and these have been much better. I highly recommend this shoe.

I have ran in the past three versions of the Beast and mostly loved them all. These did not feel the same as the others. I'm 6'2" 240 and need motion control. These are the best looking and lightest Beast I ever worn but these shoes have no arch support. Went back to the 2004 version.

This is my 4th pair of Beasts, and I'm somewhat disappointed in them. I'm 6'4', 215, and a heavy overpronator. My first 3 sets of Beasts, along with an arch support, got me back to running pain free. As soon as I put these on, I could tell they didn't have the same support in the heel. They are l...
