Some of the reviews I've read here are interesting. Folks who complain of pain that rotate with neutral, flexible shoes like the nimbus, the large gray piece on the medial side of this shoes is throwing your gait off. A shoe like the nimbus and the adrenaline are not meant to be rotated with each other. If the nimbus or a neutral shoe works for you then try something like the glycerin by brooks, and you won't be disappointed. I was fan of the adrenaline 5 and the 6, but I have to agree with the other reviewers who complained that the midsole is firmer. It is. The mogo when used in thick slabs, like with the trance, seems to feel softer, but brooks left a hard slip last, a cardboard piece that extend to the ball of the foot in this particular model shoe. This combined with the new mogo midsole material just makes this ride waaaay too firm for my tastes. The toebox seems only mildly wider than previous versions, with a nice snug fitting heel. Its a shame the ride is so stiff

I love my 6's, but I am totally NUTS over the 7's . I just did 10k (intended to do only 5) and I cannot believe how wonderful this shoe feels. Overall the shoe feels a tiny bit wider than the 6's, however it does not effect my regular size. The heel doesn't feel as high as the 6's, or maybe it's just the MOGO giving in more...don't know, but I love it and the entire shoe feels incredible. Also for the first time ever I had no issues with Sciatica, which usually hits right around 3 miles (my right big toe goes numb and my hip hurts). The condition improved very much when I switched to Brooks, but today is the first time I ran without any pain and numbness. I live in Brooks. 5 stars for these shoes!

I'm glad to see it's not just me. I've been wearing the GTS 6 for a while and loved them (though they could have used more cushion). I eagerly anticipated he release of the 7's. First time I ran in them my right hip joint hurt. I ran in them for 2 weeks with the same result. Got a pair of Brooks Trance and although they feel sluggish, the hip pain went away. One more try wioth the GTS 7 and the pain came back. GTS 7 is not for me. Went to the local running shop and found the Saucony Hurricane Grid 9 and they are my new shoe. If you're unhappy with the GTS7, but feel slowed down with the Trance (not to mention they're ugly), try the new Saucony Hurricane! I won't trian in anything else!

This was my first experience with Brooks, and I have to say I am disappointed. I usually run in Asics, but after so many modifications to the Nimbus, I had to start looking for something new. I have high arches and was told this shoe would be a nice alternative. I should have known better. Initially, they felt okay, but after a week or so of running they felt heavy and flat upon impact and the arch is definitely off. Back to the drawing board...I am returning these for something different.

Thank goodness for the 60-Day Perfect Fit Guarantee because I'm sending this pair back. I've had five other pairs of adrenalines, but the 7 just feels different. My regular size feels too big, and, agreeing with other reviewers, the shoe feels hard when it hits the ground - even on a treadmill. The shoe gets two stars only because I really like the looks of the white/light blue color. I'm sad to have to send them back because this is the first time the adrenaline has failed me.

I love these shoes! I was having major knee pain and had been testing different shoes like Mizuno and New Balance 858. The Adrenaline was the third shoe in line and my knee pain has gotten better. I've had them less than a month and have already run a marathon in them. I didn't give my knee or my feet a second thought while I was running! First marathon that I don't get a blister....Love Love Love them.

This shoe got me running again. I've worn GTS5s and 2 revs of Dyads and had to stop running due to every (so it seemed) running injury in the book: achilles tendonitis, Morton's neuroma, blisters, ITBS, Runner's Knee...you get the picture. My last ditch effort was to get refitted for shoes. RunTex in Austin put me in these shoes and I'm so happy I could cry. And they're not ugly. *sniff*

I have worn Mizuno's for the last couple of years but have increased my mileage to 50 miles week and needed better stability in a lightweight shoe. I like the Adrenaline but within 2 weeks of wearing them developed severe pain in my middle toe. My Dr. says it is nerve damage likely caused by the curve of the shoe. If your foot needs a flatter shoe, these are not for you.

I'm a loyal Adrenaline fan, but these shoes are horrible. I've worn them for about 150 miles and now I'm getting more knee and shin pain. Yes, MORE. I had slight pain from these right out of the box, but thought they would get better. I should have known better since my previous Ad. were perfect right out of the box. I hope the 8's are better or I'm switching brands.

Horrible shoe! I wore the 6's for years but couldn't find them anymore so I tried the 7. Wore them on 3 runs...first run slight knee pain, second same, today - 5 miles - the knee pain is unbearable! What a shame - Brooks shouldn't have changed a good thing. I hear the next version is due out Jan 1st - hopefully they reverted back to the older styles.

What happened to the ...

1

What happened to the Adrenaline line? The 5's were amazing then got significantly worse each year with the 6's and 7's. The 7 is a complete disaster. I do not understand why they needed to go and ruin a good thing. I get alot of pain in my shins and in my arch. I think its because the shoe is way too flimsy. I am going to switch to the Adidas Supernovas.

I agree with the other reviewers that this shoe is just not what it used to be! I have been wearing Brooks Adrenaline for years and this version is making me ready for a new brand. They make my legs ache and my foot is all over the place inside the toe box. Where is the arch???? The sole is so much harder than previous models. Disappointing.

I want to add my name to the list who found these shoes a big step down. I also ran in Adrenalines for about 5 years with no major problems, but less than one month in the 7s caused Achilles tendonitis. I rested for several weeks, but it persisted until I switched to the Asics 2120. Now I'm finally getting back to running.

I've been wearing Brooks Adrenaline GTS 5's for years and never had any issues at all, but when I switched to the GTS 7's I started experiencing pain in my foot and knees. I agree with the previous reviewer, these felt like they had cement in the bottom and the arch was off. I've decided to return/exchange them.

I'm sending these back. The shoe feels hard and like it has cement in the bottom. I really struggled to lift my feet up. I liked the past brooks, but don't get this one.

This shoe was a lot harder compared to past versions. The front of the shoe feels heavy and hard.

Shoe felt very firm after 2 X 4 mile runs. Sending back to try asics or nike.
