I've run in dozens of models from as 4-5 manufacturers. I pretty much settled on the Asics gel MC plus which Roadrunner still has as a classic. They hold up well, no injuries, good stability and I've probably gone through 15 pair over the years. Occasionally I try something new but they don't hold u...

Best shoe for me. Have run 2 half marathons, 1 full marathon in these. No foot pain at all, excellent long distance training shoe. Get fitted if you havent. Stability shoe is what this is. Great looking shoe, wish they had more colors

Terrible shoe..first off its a stability but feels really flat and non secure to foot. Had all kinds of pains after running in these..foot pain, calf cramps, ankles, even my toes were sore. Something isnt right with this shoe

Tue, April 22,2008:
I am a heavy runner (195 lbs.) and a heavy heel striker. The cushioning is awesome, they have a very unique way of dispersing energy. I have been running in the Adrenalines and usually get about 300 miles out of a pair so I hope the Trance is in that neighborhood. Word of caution!! These felt re...

These are by far the best shoes I have ran in. I used to get shin splints and experience a high amount of pain in my knees after my long runs, however running in these shoes lessons my aches and pains. I will by them again if no new version is out when they are worn out.

This shoe is too heavy to run in. Lack of cushioning. Poor support. The adreinline 7 is better than this.

great cushion good support and nice wide toe box for this clydsdale.

Wed, March 05,2008:
Even after 25 miles they felt very stiff. Also the cushioning was not as expected and certainly does not justify the classification of a stability+ and the high price. They also felt quite heavy. I was disappointed as Brooks is a good brand.

I am not sure why this is a stability+. I am 195 lbs. and my legs feet hurt everytime I ran in them. Does not feel as cushioned as the Adrenaline. Save your money and go with the Adrenaline.

If you liked the GTS , but need a little more cushion, this may be the shoe for you. If you liked/needed the cushion in the Trance 6 like I did, you will hate this shoe.

Sun, February 03,2008:
This shoe is terrible the way the front of the shoe is designed with the silver edging coming down from the laces. I tried this shoe several times and it made my big toes bleed every time at the bottom of the nail due to the edging.

The shoe felt stiff and I had trouble with the shoe's tongue. I just made a bad choice. I am sure it will work great for other people just not me.

I waited till I had completed 50 miles on these as I only wear them on my weekly long runs outside before posting this review. For me these are perfect shoes, I had tried the NB 1223 but they were too stable/controlling these are just right. After 10 miles in these today I'll be ready to do another ...

Mon, December 03,2007:
As a fairly small and lightweight male runner at 5'8" and 138lb, this shoe performs very well for me. I'm a slight overpronator and was worried that the Trance would overcompensate with excessive pronation control. But I needed a cushioned stability shoe for marathon training, and found other shoes...

Sat, November 24,2007:
Most of the complaints about this shoe deal with the amount of cushion engineered into it. I can see where the bad reviews are coming from due to the fact that the shoes are not very comfortable right out of the box, but what I have noticed is the great amount of impact protection that this shoe has...

Fri, November 09,2007:
Would not have spent this much if the shoe didn't run great. Excellent training shoe for my foot which requires ample room for my right toe knuckle. The toe box provides the room, while the midshoe hugs my foot securely and comfortably. Cushion and support are great - this is a trainer, not a race...

best running shoe I have ever purchased or tried on. As others have indicated, glove like fit with amazing cushioning (soft ride) but great support for a moderate overpronator with low arches. Well worth it.

The best Brooks Trance ever. I have used Trance since 6 edition. The tongue does not slide. The shoes are very light, do not retain odor, excellent for trail or road running. They fit like a glove for your feet. Take that Robin!

I bought these to replace my well-worn Trance 6's. I didn't think Brooks could improve upon the 6, but boy was I wrong! The mesh upper of the 7 is much cooler than 6, and the ride actually felt more natural to me than the previous model. Nothing but kudos for Brooks on improving a great shoe!

great shoe. personally, i think this shoe fits narrower than most shoes i've tried. it's also lower in volume so it gives a nice glove like fit. i've had the previous model and wasn't very happy with it because it lacked support. it was also too squishy. it has more support this year and the cushion...

Okay shoe, but so expensive!!?? This one has the support of a way cheaper shoe. I guess the cushion is good. But c'mon, Brooks should deliver more for the price. They didn't deliver - save your $.
