To contrast the softness they added an aditional "pivot" post under the fith met lifting it and therefore locking the mid tarsal joints. In other words its more stable.

Brooks has fundamentally changed what was a great shoe (the Cascadia 2), and not for the better. The 2 was a true trail shoe - very stiff and incredibly sure footed. It was also a little unforgiving, and would roll your ankle if you weren't paying attention. Brooks' "fix" was to significantly sof...

One of the best overall trail shoes I've ever worn! Lighter weight, just the right amount of arch/medial support
and it can handle smooth as well as moderately rutted terrain. Not too bad for the roads either with durable outsole configuration. Tops in my book!

OK Shoe, I like the color. However less support than other Brook shoes. It is a OK trail shoe. But don't use these shoes on pavement-no support

Decent shoe…Brooks is definitely on to something. The rounded heel is an improvement over the previous versions as is the MoGo midsole. Very smooth transition. The shortcomings are no arch support (extremely wide and flat sock liner) and sloppy fit (I have a narrow, low volume foot.)

This years cascadia sporting a nice snug fit across my heel and mid foot, but still maintains a beautifully wide square forfoot. It even has enough volume for my orthotics. smooth transitions to boot. Im in love.
