I developed severe knee pain after starting C25k training, usually after only 1-2 miles. This was my first time buying a stability shoe.
I tried on 3 pair, and although these weren't my favorite, they were in my price range.
25 miles later and not a hint of knee pain. There may be better shoes out there, but these have worked very well for me.

I bought these purposely becuase I was using them for work but at the same time to run in. They are a good stability shoe for walking around purposes but not a good running shoe. I have a lot of trouble striking the foot without pain in the calvs. I noticed someone else put pain in the calvs. I had shin splints after running in them along with way too much calv pain. I have run in saucony and nike before this and plan on going back. They are not worth it for anything of a 5K and further.

This is is my first pair of Adrenalines and I have to say they are a big disappointment. On my very first run I had pain in both calves which I never had in my old (650+ miles) Nike Air Zoom Steens. I have had to resort to insoles for additional cushioning which has helped a fair amount. I bought these at a specialty running store because I am fairly new to running and wanted to get the right shoe. Maybe I just got a bad fit from the salesman, but this is definitely not the shoe for me.

I was a loyal Asics fan of the 2100 series until i found the Adrenaline GTS 8's. They were the best shoes i ever had and i bought multiple pairs. So much so that i bought a pair of 9's (reviews said not much had changed) without ever trying them on. The 9's are quite posibly the worst shoes i have ever used. I have 35 miles (very painful) on them and just bought some new shoes. The 9's seem stiff and hard do not have a good ride. Just 3 miles in them sends pain up my left shin which miraculously goes away when i put on my 8's, which have 500+ miles. I would not recommend the 9's to any of my friends, nor will i ever use them again.

I am a 6’4” 175 pound male with low arches and mild over-pronation. In late 2008 I left my LRS (First Gear in Wichita, KS) with a brand new pair of GTS 9’s. My pain slowly began to ebb away and I was on my way to becoming a runner. One year and 5 pairs later I am still pain free and average 30 to 40 miles a week.

I could not run more than 15 miles a week before buying the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 8 last summer. Now I am running with the 9's. Last Sunday, I ran a 1/2 marathon and then on Tuesday I ran a 12 mile. My legs feel great. I noticed several reviews about the 9's not being as good as the 8's. I still have a pair of 8's that I alternate with the 9's and there is hardly any difference.

I am 5'-6" about 155lbs with flat feet. Previously I wore Mizuno Renegades, but after an IT Band Injury I switched to these upon advice of a shoe "guy." They are flexible and my IT band feels great. If you have flat feet are are a smaller runner, this shoe works. For me, a motion control shoe was not flexible enough and basically rocking all my joints.

After starting out with the 7s and running over 1000 miles on numerous 8s the 9s are horrible. I did a 16 miler last week and an 9 mile run today. The cushioning seems to be much less especially in the forefoot area. They are brand new and they feel like they already have 250 miles on them. I also had sore knees after wearing these. Very disappointed, I should also mention that I have wide feet so I wear EE. Time to try a new brand….

Now that I went through a whole season of running in the GTS9, I can say that I preferred the GTS8. The GTS9's just felt harder as it seemed I felt the road more. The GTS8 were much more comfortable; too bad they changed that part. Other than that, the shoe felt the same in every other way. So, I would minus two stars just for that. Anyway, I am now switching to Mizuno Wave Alchemy 9, which has a similar feel to the GTS8.

I tried Adrenalines on a switch from my usual A sics. This will be the first pair of shoes that I literally throw in the trash can in perfect condition. These shoes feel like they left out the cushioning - very painful, my knees hurt, back to brand A. For me, an expensive disappointment.

I've been wearing the Adrenalines for the past 3 years and have logged many miles with few problems. Inserts really give the shoe the cushioning it really needs and would recommend to serious runners who are building mileage. Also and very good shoe for infrequent runners.. Only drawback is that the toe box is a little lareger than previous versions. Overall, a solid shoe for the $$$$

I have been running in Adrenalines since 2001 and LOVE running in these shoes. The only time they didn't give me a good ride is when I put different insoles in them. I would recomend them to anyone with a medium size frame looking for a good trainer for distance runs like a marathon, which I am using the GTS9's to train in now.

Sat, July 11,2009:
I've run in the adrenalines off and on for a number of years; however this version, although very light, seem to be stiff. In addition, there doesn't appear to be a lot of volume in the shoe, which, when I laced them up to compensate for the stiffness, made the tendons on the top of both my feet sore. Despite trying a number of alternative lacing patterns, I just couldn't get the shoe to fit well enough to run in them.

I switched from Asics 2000 to GTS 7 a couple of years ago because the Asics didn't last enough miles. First 2 pairs of GTS 7 and 1 pair of GTS 8 lasted at least 340 miles plus and my shin splints went away. I have gone through two pairs of GTS 9 with only about 230 miles on each, got orthotics but still developed stress fracture on first pair and now shin splints have come back with fairly low weekly mileage. Maybe cheaper materials? Shoes look great, feel good but just aren't lasting long enough.

Just started running again after a 13-year hiatus. Went in looking for my trusty Asics, but walked out with the GTS 9.
The Adrenaline fit my foot perfectly. It felt great right away. This was the first shoe I tried on. Then went through NB, Asics, and one other I can't remember and this one stayed on my foot.
As I'm just getting strated again, I don't have a ton of miles in them yet, but am injury free so far. They're very light, breath well, and provide a firm, yet cushioned response. I'm 6'1" and 187lbs at the moment. Solid shoe.
Highly Recommended.

Another perfect Adrenaline shoe. Comfortable cushioning. Enables natural steps with great stability. Make the feet feel firm with good grip yet easy with more breathability. Stability can be the keyword for the shoes; of course, the white and blue shoes with tinge of black gives an assuring confidence to walk.

Got these shoes this week. Ran 35miles this week. They are great. Great cushion and stability. Will do a 10 miler this week but for know they are great shoe. Have worn asics 2000's and Kayano 11. These are lighter than the Kayano. I don't feel that I'm sacrificing anything.

Great shoes. First pair of shoes I've ever owned that have given me a painless run. I wear EEEE so I don't have a lot of choices when it comes to shoes. Luckily these work out well and are a great value for the money. I'm 6'4" 180 lbs. I wish they had a bit more padding in the fore-foot and that the back wasn't quite so stiff, it makes them a little hard to put on.

I have been asking many shoe makers, especially brooks, to improve the slanty toe box and continue with the rest of the foot features. They finally made an adrenaline that not only the best adrenaline but the best neutral shoe now with 9 model. It's been years, but what the heck. If people get too critical with this one, they don't have normal feet.

good, good meshed upper. 30-40 wk. This

longer (hence the 4stars).
