Have used this shoe for trail and for road running. It is amazing. Have been running for thirty-five years and this shoe is the most versatile shoe I have ever owned.

I was looking for a trail shoe I could also run on the pavement w/. The Cascadia was suppose to be tailor made for this, not to mention winning various awards for being the trail shoe of the year. It may just be me, no one else has complained, but these shoes are no good!!! On the pavement, they're okay, nothing special. I was so excited to take them on the trail, w/ rocks and stones. I felt every rock, stone and pebble. But only on my right foot. The rock shield did nothing to shield my forefoot. Maybe it's me, maybe it was that particular shoe, mind you it was only the right shoe, but I would not recommend this shoe at all. Don't believe all the hype you hear or read, always try for yourself and determine what's best for you. That's my two cents, and yes you can have the change.

Love the fit, and the cushioning, but Road Runner- THIS IS A NEUTRAL SHOE! I am having to return my purchase to seek other shoes because this is obviously a neutral shoe when you go running on it, as well as the Brooks site states it is a neutral shoe as well.

I need a stability shoe on the road or trail, and this is the first trail shoe I've ever tried that seemed to have enough arch support for my medium low arches. But I'm confused by the specs: roadrunner says it's a stability shoe, but the Brooks website and runner's world magazine both say it's a neutral shoe for people with medium to high arches.

The color scheme is a bit flashy for me but gave them a shot anyway. Wow.. felt like a racing flat compared to the Asics trail shoes I've been using for the last few years. Not sure if I ran faster but sure felt like it. Great traction on the decomposed granite trails I typically run (up or down). Only downside so far is that they are softer than other shoes I've used and can see potential for ankle twist but handled my maiden run over cobbles ok. Lack of a hard plastic midsole like the Asics have, you really feel rocks in you arch.
All said though I felt much faster, got great traction and were the most cushioning shoe I've ever used. Thumbs up. Only gave it 4 stars cause I've used them once. Time may get another one from me.

4 is the altimate trail shoe . It's light weight , great traction and wide toe box make for a super ride.
The sheer comfort of the shoe upon putting it on is a bonus !

Has the same cushioned, low to the ground ride as the 3. The toe box is not as narrow as the 3 which is nice. The only minus is the 4 feels heavier than the 3. I wish they would make it lighter but otherwise a great shoe.

same great ride as the last, with even quieter outsole. The perfect hybrid steet and trail shoe.
