Great shoe except the laces don't stay tied! Everytime I run outdoors or treadmill, the laces come undone!

I am a long distance runner and run 40+ miles per week. I was suffering from Plantar Fasciitis and from bad blisters. I went into Road Runner Sports and these shoes were recommended partially because I tend to heel strike. Since wearing these shoes my Plantar Fasciitis is gone and I rarely get a blister. These shoes tend to hold up pretty well on long runs for me which are 15+ miles and because of the fact the insole is liquid I found these shoes do not need a "rest day" and really do perform well. They are a bit on the expensive side but these shoes are supposed to last 500 miles unlike some shoes that are about $25 less that last about 250-300 miles. So it is worth the investment.

Ran in the Trance 6 and 8 and Kayano. These are different. They seem wider and less snug. The tongue and holes dont let you get a snug fit around the ankle. there's too much plastic on the tongue. The holes are in odd places and I cant figure out how to lace them to get a good fit. They have a palpable arch, which I like, but may be a bit stiff, which is great for plantar fascitis, but which made my achilles tendonitis flare up after just 2 runs.

These shoes made all the difference for me. I was an Adrenaline GTS 8 loyalist, but with the change to the GTS 9 the shoe felt narrower and caused me to develop blisters on the inside of my feet for any run longer than 3-4 miles. It was recommended that I try the Trance: Problem solved. I have relatively high arches, like a light weight shoes with firm feel and run 20+ miles a week. The only caution: The configuration of holes for shoe laces results in original/standard laces being a bit short if you prefer a double knot.

Noticeably lighter in weight than previous models of this shoe. Fits different. The arch seems closer to heel and could feel it under my gait.
