Love for marathons, and fligts

5

I bought them at the Boston Marathon Expo. I walked around the entire day at the expo wearing them. I used them for the first time during the Boston Marathon. It was great, no cramping at all in the calves. The thighs are a different story. I bought more than one pair. On the flight back I wore them to keep from cramping. Today is two days later and I have never felt better after a marathon. Excellent brand, a lot of other compressions socks do not work near as well.

Refreshen Legs While Not Running

4

I love this product because you can feel it working instantly. I'd put them on in the morning and I could actually feel my calves loosen up as the day went on. It's especially helpful if you do a lot of speedwork or tons of mileage. The only con I could give this product is the sizing, if you have slightly larger calves you may want to opt for the larger size as they may be a bit difficult to get on and off. Otherwise a great product to keep your legs refreshed and ready for the next challenge.

FOR THOSE WHO SPEND HOURS ON THEIR FEET!

5

I bought these because, as a health professional, I'm on my feet a lot during the day. To avoid varicose veins and tired, achy legs, I tried these compression socks. I bought them because they were stylish and high quality. My legs don't feel tired at the end of my shift anymore and I know that my circulation has improved. I highly recommend these socks to anyone who wants their legs to feel great at the end of the day!

Great Socks

5

These are great compression socks. Not only are they functional, they're pink! I had worn a pair of compression sleeves before I bought these, but much prefer the compression the socks offer. It feels more evenly distributed and they are extremely comfortable to run in. I do ultra distances, so these socks have really helped my legs recover, especially on long drives home when my legs are trying to swell! I feel like I recover faster and easier after long runs when I wear these socks.

Great for recovery

5

I used these in a half marathon. They didn't help me run any faster, but I ended up wearing them for about four hours afterward as well and I have never felt better after a race. By the next weekend I felt ready to run a race again, and it usually takes me several weeks to regain my speed. They are snug enough to feel like they are actually doing something, yet not too tight. They're also a nice addition to shorts/skirts/capris on a cold day.The only minor flaw is that (with the pink ones, anyway), when you put them on and they stretch, the fabric is white in between the pink, almost as if they spray painted the socks when they were not being worn and once they stretch, there is no color in the elastic. Has no effect on the function, but they would look a little nicer if they were dyed better.

LOVE THESE!

5

I have been trying to ditch a nagging achilles injury and read that compression garments can help prevent injury. So I decided to invest a lot of money in a single pair of socks. They are SO worth it! After getting over how silly I feel in shorts and knee socks, these really do make my legs feel better during and after a run. I will even wear them on my off days to get ready for my runs. I love these socks!

Won't roll down!

5

I bought these socks (3 pair total) for work originally. I work 12 hour shifts as a nurse- on my feet all night, and these miraculous little socks keep my ankles from puffing up like the Michelin man's! They are worth every last penny, as I go home sans achey calves and ankles! They even come with directional lettering: L=left, R=right. Fantastic pair of socks!

now that's compression!

5

These are much thinner than I thought they would be. The fabric is very soft and comfortable and feels great all day. I wear them at work and after long runs, and my legs feel great. They compress all the way from the toes up-- even on skinny feet. Only draw back is how hard they are to put on. They require you to 'roll on' the socks like an old lady puts on stockings. Hot.

What a difference they make!!

5

I refuse to buy gimmicky products, so not sure that these were necessary, I've put them in my online shopping cart more times than I can remember. I finally took the plunge recently while buying a pair of pink shoes to match. My 8 mile run with these socks on made me feel like I could have run several more miles before my legs would tire. I can't believe how much better my legs felt. AND I have no tightness at all several hours after my run. I am still so shocked that they can be that effective, but they've sold me enough that I know I must have a second pair for recovery. If you're on the fence, this is your cue to buy them!!

I purchased these in anticipation of running my first 10k. I am nearly 50, female, and have run my entire life, but I have never been into distance running. I am a treadmill runner and know that I am spoiled by the cushioning of the TM so I thought some extra support for my shins and calves for road running would be a good idea. I used them during my training and was extremely impressed. I took them to New Orleans with me for the Crescent City 10k and really appreciated the support and compression. I left them on after the race until the early evening and was pleasantly surprised when I awoke the next morning to discover that my legs felt GREAT! Another reviewer sold me on them, she said she had put them in her cart more times than she could remember, but had removed them due to the cost. She said they were worth the cost, and if you are considering them just go ahead and get them. I have the same concerns regarding expense on most running gear (with the exception of shoes), but I took her advice and am very happy with my purchase. I also read another review this morning of a lady who wore them on a long flight, I will remember that for the future. My hands and legs always swell on flights, despite the fact that I drink only water, take an aspirin and try to flex muscles and move around in my seat to prevent blood pooling. My husband flies a lot, so I intend to purchase travel pair for him. Oh, the care instructions are in German and the symbols are a bit difficult to discern on the package. Wash COLD, in delicate detergent and air dry.

The Answer to sore, tired calves

5

I use the product for every hard training effort. They extend my ability to run hard for longer periods. They also allow me to run hard on days that my calves are tired or sore. Ultimately I can run harder more often. I also use them for recovery after a hard workout. They do a great job keeping the blood flowing! I would recommend them to anyone...serious athlete or weekend warrior. They will help your performance!

Worth the $$$!

5

I am currently training for a marathon and these socks are awesome. I am a long time sufferer of shin splints and calf pain and these socks keep everything secure and feeling great. I wore them on my 18 mile training run last week and my calves weren't sore at all. Love Love Love them! At first I felt really guilty for buying such expensive socks but that has worn off due to their functionality.

CEP Compression Socks

I got these socks for my daughter as a gift who in turn got me a pair. I love them. They make my legs feel so good when going out for a run! I would advise runners to get a pair. Like a mini massage for the calves.

Stylish and they work!

5

My fiance and I ride and he gets on planes weekly. We both noticed big difference in recovery after exercise and in airplanes. Of course, mine had to be pink! I have issues with ankle, so I like this socks for support rather than tights. Now I won three pairs and couldn't be happier!

Recovery time diminished

5

Have cut my recovery time in half. I'm training for 26.2 and these have made a huge difference since I've gotten into high milage training. Theyre also light enough to wear in warm weather without overheating.

blissful recovery

5

Bought these to wear after long runs (15+ miles) to speed recovery. What a difference, my legs feel refreshed and ready for the next weeks workouts. Haven't been able to bring myself to wear them during the runs yet (not sure I can do the knee high look outside the house), but, I am sure they would make a difference.

I'm a believer!

5

I am a small-framed, 57 year old woman and like to run 5-6 mile runs on weekends with 3 - 4 miles on weekdays with about a day off per week. I rotate 2 -3 pairs of shoes at all times and change them out every 3 months or so. Over the past year I added an annual 20k race that runs at the end of summer, and had to increase my training distance. For the first time I was feeling achilles tendon soreness and soreness (just while running) on the balls of my feet. I tried a sport tape, it was OK but hard to maintain. Then I got these socks and have been very happy- the foot pain on longer runs is gone, and the tendon soreness is minimal at its worst. Before running though, make sure the sock is smooth and wrinkle free in your shoe, and that the compression is evenly distributed on your legs so it doesn't feel like you need to make adjustments after a few miles.

I liked them so much I bought 3 pairs.

Before the socks, I had pain along the inside of my tibia when I ran. After the socks, the pain was gone. They kept my legs warm while running in the cold too.

Good socks

4

I have these socks in pink. They are stylish and functional. I have a 15" calf and ordered the smallest size, they did not feel very compressive. They have more compression than your average sock, but have less compression than the Zoot equivalent. Both brands felt a wee big on size, so I would recommend sizing down if you're used to wearing compression gear. If you are not used to wearing compression socks, go with the recommended sizing and move on from there. I'm keeping these socks. They'll be great for traveling and general workouts. Plus, you can't beat the pink color. Most other compression socks come in either white or black...like the rest of my socks.

Worth every penny!

5

I've never used compression socks before now, but tried these out for a 9 mile run a couple days ago and LOVE them. I wore them on a pretty tough run since it was 4.5 miles down hill and 4.5 miles straight back up and my lower legs barely felt tired at all while I had these socks on. Great support for muscles. I actually bought them due to the fact that my ankles, feet, and lower legs want to retain fluid a day or two after my long runs. I've used them a couple times for recovery after the run the past couple days and had had NO fluid retention this time like I have in the past. (Yes, I've seen a doctor for it.)I will be buying these in other colors!!

They make feel like I'm doing something good for me. After 6-8 hours you want to take them off. They start to feel uncomfortable.

5

I was skeptical at first, but my physical therapist (also an elite runner) loves them and recommended them. He was right -- they really do speed recovery. I also wear them while running and they keep my legs comfortable and springy. If you're on the fence, take a chance and get 'em. This brand is especially "squeezy", so make sure you measure your calves and order accordingly.

Love these!

5

Bought these after suffering a nasty bought of shin splints. They are very comfortable to run in and I haven't had anymore shin pain. I love the different sizes. I have skinny calves and the III's (medium) fit well. I am also very tall (5'11) and these are plenty long. Final bonus- they are great for long flights. I wore them on a 13 hour flight from Chicago to Japan without an swelling or discomfort. Oh, and the pink is pretty fabulous!

LOVE these!

5

This is my 2nd pair of these (I had black for CO, but bought white for a TX marathon). These have been the best addition to my running attire for runs longer than 14 miles--they noticeably reduce calf muscle fatigue by providing support and compression. The lower sock part is just as comfortable and durable as regular running socks. I wore these, after putting some Aquaphor lotion on my feet, for my last marathon and did not have a single blister or callous. I'm sold!

Not So Sure

Hard to put on. Once on, the sock feels wonderful. It is tight and snug offereing the compression benefits it promises. However, what I have found is that during run, I experience pulling of muscles in the area of compression.Awkward twinges, aches and muscle pull make me wonder if the compression majic is working or if I am going to be injured. My legs to feel strong and energized the day AFTER a run with these socks.
