Comments about Polar RS100 Running Computer: Really functional! Great for the price. Does everything I want it to do. Comments about Polar RS100 Running Computer: I've used the RS100 for several years. It has worked great up until a month or so ago. Now I having the same problems Don describes in his comments. Slow syncing and sometimes the heart rate reading is incorrect. I don't start out training at a heart rate over 178. Comments about Polar RS100 Running Computer: Beautiful device, does hing it's suppose to. Only problem.......my two year old Lab ate it. Now back to RRS for a new one. Pros

Best Uses Comments about Polar RS100 Running Computer: Not sure why others thought this monitor was so great. Sometimes it would work OK, other times the wireless connection between chest strap and monitor would erratically come and go. So sometimes I'd get done and have usable info and others times ... nada. But now my heart rate never shows up as any higher than 40 so it's basically a high-priced, style-challenged watch. Beyond that it has fairly non-intuitive function buttons. If you don't use if for a few weeks better find the directions to figure out how it works. The watch face itself gives very few prompts.

Comments about Polar RS100 Running Computer: I use this while training indoors (spinning, treadmills, lifting). No interferance with other monitors. [...]I do not like the design of the chest strap, the removable transmitter is bulky and not comfortable when laying face down (doing push-ups and streching).

Comments about Polar RS100 Running Computer: I've been using this RS100 since 3 months ago. I'm very satisfied. It shows my heart rate & a-bip alarm so I can slow down a little bit on my exercise in order to prevent injuries especially on my knees. It also show how many fat-burned & calorie=burned on every lap or every cardio class that I've done. Love it!
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Polar RS100 Running Computer: Was looking for a basic HRM that told time and also kept heart rate, with beeps for floating out of the HR zone target range. This does all that. Lightweight, nice rubber watch band. Only concern I have is that band is attached directly to the watch face, so if the band breaks, fearful that will make the watch useless (since it will no longer attach to my hand).

Comments about Polar RS100 Running Computer: This is the first Heart Rate Monitor I buy. I used it for running on treadmills at the gym. Great thing is that the treadmills that support polar will display your HR on the screen. I also use it while I swim. This was my main concern. I swim around 1-2km a day 5-6 days week and it never failed me. I spend over an hour under water. It's very easy to configure. Display is big enough. The HR Zone alarm is loud enough to hear. I can also hear it while I swim. If I could say one negative thing about this watch it would be that it only saves one work out. I tend to write down my stats so when I'm at the gym and I'm finished from my run, I'll write down all the information before I start my weight lifting session. I think Polar has another watch that can save multiple workouts, but this isn't bad for its price. Comments about Polar RS100 Running Computer: I've had this monitor for over a year. It's great no complaints. Everything works as it should day in and day out.
