Sun, March 16,2008:
Very impressive for a very reasonable price. I decided against purchasing the foot pod as I have a Nike+ and am happy with the results regarding distance and pace from that. I would recommend that combination, as it appears the foot pod can be rather temperamental. The RS200's heart rate and calo...

My wife spent a fortune on the RS200 SD and it rarely records my pace or distance correctly. I am very frustrated. It will work for maybe a mile and then it just quits. I have also used the GPS models and although they can lose their signal, I would recommened them over this huge waste of money.

Lets start with the instructions manual which it is hard to understand sometimes. Second, customer service is poor (don't waste your minutes from your cell)I found it unstable as far the data. It is not worth the price

I wrote an earlier review.I still give it a 5.Once I did the full calibration the calorie counter is accurate.I also love that the transmiter sends your heart to cardio machines at the gym,"no need to hold the hand sensors.

I purchased the RS200,not the RS200sd.
I bought this thinking that it would come with all the features, only to find out "the foot pod cost more,as the RS200 'SD'. The watch comes configured as an 'SD' with the footpod feature enabled.Once I turned off this feature it works great.I have a gps that ...

This is my first HR monitor. I have substantially changed my workout regimen because of it, and will have another soon. However, it will NOT be a Polar RS200.
This unit has failed 4 times since I purchased it approximately 9 months ago, and probably would have failed more except that it spent s...

Wed, July 05,2006:
This watch has an amazing number of features for a relatively low price, however, if you can possibly afford it, I recommend getting the rs200sd, because that version comes with the foot pod, which essentially doubles the number of features for only 70 more dollars. I have had problems with the hea...

Got this unit over 8 months ago. When it works properly, it is a great tool. However, have had problems with the unit needing to reboot. Looking at some of the other reviews, I see that it's not only the one I received. For function and features I'd give this product five stars. However, given ...

My Polar RS200 also blanked out on me within the first month. Thank you, Greg Palmer, for posting the reset feature. But still, it's rather annoying to have to completely reset the computer every time it goes out.

I wrote the review below this one about the RS200SD breaking during a run in the rain. What I found is that if the display seems "frozen" and doesn't respond to any commands, you can reboot the unit by pressing and holding all 4 buttons simultanously. You lose some of your settings, but the device...

SERIOUS RELIABILITY PROBLEMS The first RS200SD I received had a defective foot pod. (Great service from Road Runner, they replaced it at their expense.) The replacement lasted about 6 weeks. I went for a run in the rain, and after about 7 minutes, the screen froze and stopped responding to any co...

My wife and I are new to heartrate monitoring, so not much to compare too. I got her this one for X-mas, because she liked the HR zone-bar feature a lot. She had trouble keeping on that mode at first, and the whole unit just shut down one day last month. Major kudos to RRS for replacing it on the sp...

I got this watch for christmas with the idea of adding speed and distance via this watch and the associated footpod. The watch is very functional (and stylish) however, I've returned this watch twice for a problem that's known by Polar tech support. It consistently fails to record time 'in zone' pro...
