Tue, October 02,2007:
I have owned this polar for two years now, and had almost no problem at all. Only 1 time lock and easily solved. Had some problems with the transmission of the wearlink on winter, but again easily solved with just a few rocks of salt on the chest contacts. Better than expected.

Avoid this product. I have owned all the options in this market and this has a flawed design. I am not anti-polar or the footpod. I owned the 625x as well. The 200sd locks up and does a total reset . . . at bad times. I went through 4 of these and they all did it. I have talked to many others ...

Works great so far. I calibrated with a 2 mile run but it was already calibrated correct. The distance has been accurate with only 2.5% error at most and most runs less than 1%.
My only issues are that the watch band is a little uncomfortable on my wrist (got a blister during a long run) a...

Generally pleased with performance but watch button response slow and footpod only accurate (90-95%) on level hard surfaces. Running on undualating ground or bush tracks get varied results. The manual is difficult to follow so there are some features that I still haven't worked out.

The footpod is worthless, I could not get any calibration better than 20% and often the pace reads 0.00. Don't waste your time and money on this.

I've had mine since August and have not had a single problem with it. Hopefully it doesn't quit on me like it has for others. Got it for $160 and is a perfect running watch for a beginner or someone who doesn't want to break the bank getting a running watch.

Sun, October 15,2006:
I have put about 800 miles on mine, and I like it. It was accurate for me right out of the box (4 mile test at the track gave 4.04 miles), but it’s less accurate doing hills and trails. The only gripe I have is that I need to carefully clean the contacts on the chest strap before each run, or the h...

I found this to be nearly worthless, and am sending back to RRS. The technical manual is very poorly written, and at in places, incorrect. Polar's customer service is just awful. I've tried to call them, only to be put endlessly on hold, and when I finally have gotten a live human being, I've bee...

Reliability seems to be the major issue with this unit based on the reviews that I've read on this and other sites. My watch recently died after only 5 months of careful use and is now completely useless. When it was working I was reasonably happy with it. My only criticisms were that the buttons...

I had this setup for about a month and used it for final training for Grandma's Marathon--mainly to identify a race strategy. Much to my dismay, the unit "winked out"--showing all "8's" at about the 2.5 mile point of the actual marathon, leaving me without my presets. I managed to restore some basi...

I was not impressed with my rs200sd. When I got it, I noticed that it is made of cheap grade plastic and the buttons are not very responsive. The footpod had a hard time staying on, so i would end up getting ridiculous results. One day, i put it in sleep mode and it never came out, so i am sending i...

A solid piece of equipment. I was relitively impressed with the accuracy. I have been using GPS systems in this capacity/use for some time. They often go out when Line of Sight to the satellites is lost. Around buildings, in deep woods, etc. This was always frustrating. This Polar unit will ne...
