LOVE my CW-X Stabilyx Tights!!!

5

When these tights first arrived and I took them out of the box, I thought there was NO WAY these were going to fit - they looked so tiny! But I followed the instructions, put them on and fit the knee area to my knee caps and then slid them up and they fit perfectly! They did feel a little tight on the back of my knees when I bent my knees and I worried that would be irritating during a run; however, I ran 9 miles in them the first day I got them, and they were very comfortable and I did not notice any pinch in the back of the knee area while running. They were tight enough to control the "jiggle factor" and not slide down from my waist, yet loose enough to be very comfortable for the entire run. I love them and wish I could afford to buy 10 pair!!

LOVE these!

I am training for a marathon and have really come to love compression products for how they support my fatigued muscles. I've worn these on many long runs in the cold weather. They are very warm, so I don't think they would do well in warmer weather. I haven't yet used them in temps over 30 degrees. These look great on and everyone will expect you to be fast! My only complaint is the crotch has an awkward piece of fabric and isn't smooth like most tights; this can be a chafing issue for anyone who is used to running sans underwear.

awesome tights

Love these tights. Very supportive. I use them for my long runs (I would use them more but can't afford many pairs). I have also worn them post run (if its too hot to wear them during the run) and I felt less muscle soreness. I have similar pairs in a different brand that cost about the same and the others are not nearly as great as these. I would definitely buy them again.

I loved these tights! Ran my first half marathon in them, and these helped so much at the end with the compression. My husband has the men's and loves them also. My only complaint is that the size chart says I wear a medium. They were WAY too short and I am 5'8" and slim. I had to return them and get the large.

Great running tights!

5

I really like these compression tights. They fit tight and it takes some work to get them on. But, I found them to be surprisingly comfortable. I think the size charts are accurate. I got the size recommended for my height/weight and they fit fine. But, I fall pretty much in the middle of the range for my size. If you were on the border, you may want to go up a size.

Expensive, but you get what you pay for!

5

I am amazed at how much better my knees feel after a long run wearing these tights. It is a bit of a struggle to get them on correctly, but once in place they stay put and I forget I am wearing them. I am inbetween the small and medium on the size chart (5'6'' 135 lb and curvy build), so I went for the medium which fits perfectly.

I am convinced!

5

I was skeptical at first, but the way these tights support my it band and knees have convinced me! I only wish that I could run in them all summer too! They are fabulous for longer runs and as a base layer under ski pants. I will also use them for skate skiing.

I purchased these tights to wear on long runs while training for a marathon. I liked the support well enough that I wore them for the race also. They kept my muscles warm and helped circulation.

5

These are the best running tights and well worth the money, the support they give is great. I bought them to wear on my long runs only but I now wear them all the time. My legs recover faster and don't get tired. I will recommend if you are between sizes get the bigger one, if I would have gone with the smaller one they would have been to tight. I love them and would recommend them to anyone.

Extremely Satisfied...but

4

I recently started using these tights and have to admit that I do love them. When worn and positioned properly, I can actually feel the compression on my calf and thigh muscles. The area I had been most concerned about was my calves since I have had shin splints in the past and am always cautious about the type of surface I run on (meaning I try to avoid sidewalks and concrete). After my usual weekend distance run, I usually expect a some soreness the next day, however, my legs felt fine the next day. The technology does what it says and I am pleased with the product. My only gripe with it is the length. I am 5'1 and ordered a size small since there is no way my legs would fit in a size extra small (I have pretty muscular thighs and calves). When I position the tights properly, the portion above the knees to the crotch is a little too long. I personally never wear my tights to the point where it gives me a little bit of a wedgie. Other than that I love the tights...just wish the thigh part was a little shorter. Oh and the tights reach my above my hips (kind of like high waisted pants).

Great but not perfect

4

I ordered the multi-color pattern in these tights and they look fabulous: distinctive without being so "flash" that I would feel upstaged by my pants :) I think they fit a bit small. Medium was unbearably tight on my 5'7" 130 pound frame (note that I have widely spaced hips but not much of a butt). The Large fits fine, and I have room for a few more pounds (which, hopefully, won't turn up). They have a higher than average rise, which is nice for more of a fall-winter pant. Although the seams leave some marks on my legs after a long workout, there has been no rubbing (great to find long tights without ankle zippers). I do have two quibbles with them, though, and both will stop me from using these as my "go to" leggings for long races. First, the drawstring is too long and bulky, so it digs into my waist a bit. Not a big deal after 5 miles - wouldn't want to run a half or full marathon in these guys. The biggest problem, though, is that there is only a teeny tiny pocket, and it's on the inside at the front waist. I much prefer an outside pocket on the back of the rights. I wouldn't put anything but a tissue or a key in the inside pocket, and I need somewhere to keep a credit card and a Gu when I'm running for long distances outside.

Pondered for a long time before buying

4

I debated for a long time before purchasing these tights. The price tag was a little high for something I was unsure of; would they really do what they claimed? But receiving a gift card help make my decision, and they do seem to be fully supporting their claims. It takes a bit to position the support pieces in the right place on your legs (around joints not on them, etc.) and the compression is full on so if you miss the spot its best to take them off and start again, instead of just trying to adjust while in them. But I will say that my legs did not feel as fatigued after my long run as in the past. And the grey on black vs. the multi color is more my style. They are not cold weather tights however and on colder days another layer would be needed.

Awesome

4

I purchased the black multi version of these tights and love the way they look and feel. As mentioned in previous reviews, they take a bit of work to get on and aligned properly, but once they're on they stay in place and feel amazing. I've run two half marathons and a 15k in them since I got them and was really happy with how they performed. No chaffing, no shifting around. My legs and knees felt very happy. A few cons: - I am a little disappointed that the reflective lightning bolt details have already started to crack/look worn after only a few washes. - The drawstring in the waist is really large and bulky. - The "pocket" is way too tiny to be of any use.

Compression at its finest!

5

I am 5' 7" and fall between small and medium or at the lowest weight for medium. That's the size I got and they fit perfect. They are not see through if you buy the right size. The support is perfect. As other people have stated, when not running in them you can "feel" them at the back of your knees. While this may bug some people. It doesn't bother me at all and when I'm running it gives the perfect amount of support and you can't feel the material behind your knees. I bought two pair of capri's. Loved them so much I tried these and have already bought a second pair of the full length. Be patient putting them on. Put them on like you would panty hose.

A Tissue for your orthopaedic Issues!

5

I am recovering from major spine surgery and I have two total knee replacements. These CW1 Tights are superior for the following reasons: They stabilize your muscles so you don't experience pain or muscle spasms. Fatigue is not an issue anymore. The quality is outstanding and the comfort level is fantastic. They are worth every penny. Hand wash them in cold water and the new FLEXIBLE WOOLITE. Rinse in cold water then roll them in a large bath towel or microfiber cloth to absorb the excess water and hang to air dry. Now you will feel terrific!

Best Support Pants for Knees and Hips

5

I have purchased three pair of pants. Two pants and one Capri. I use my Capri pants for short runs. Six miles on less. I like my pants for longer runs. But now I wear my long pants for all runs. My legs and calves feel good are each run. Ladies if you know what Spanxs are. Theses remind me of them with great support bands in all the right places and they make you look good and feel good. Great running pants.

Love em!!

5

I ran 5 miles around Thanksgiving and my knees were killing me the next day. I run recreationally about 2-5x month so I'm used to feeling sore after a run. As an early Christmas present to myself I decided to see if these tights could really do what they advertise. I have since ran, on separate occassions, 3.5 and 7 miles, and my knees didn't hurt at all. The most I'd ever ran before was a 10K so the 7 miles was a first. I expected to be sore the next day and I wasn't. I felt great. I now tell everyone I know about these tights and am looking at purchasing another pair!

These do run big and do not match the size chart where based on my measurements I would be a solid large, and now that I need to exchange a large for a medium they have run out. Grrrr... Tammy - did you actually try running in these? I have the capris and can feel the material when I bend my knees and it was extremely annoying, but I simply do not notice it when I'm running. These really hold me in, but I can only wear them in 40 degrees or colder, otherwise I overheat.

Chafing in the nether regions ...ouch

3

I bought these based on the reputation of the make. If like me you don't like a panty line, these are NOT for you. They do not have a gusset like most tights and they have a seam that goes right up the middle of the girlie bits. On a longer run (over 20km) I have chafing in a place I have never ever had chafing before. Underwear is a must with these tights - unless they move the seam/stitch a gusset in future models. From a support and compression point of view they were fabulous. Just need to sort out the other painful problem.

Worth it

4

I am 58 and newly returned to running. I bought these tights to help my form in my first 10K race. I am in between sizes Small and Medium, so decided to go with the Small. I am glad I did. They fit great -- no extra folds or loosenes, but not too tight either. I was hoping they would give my previously injured hip more support to avoid reinjury. Unfortunately, the tights didn't work for that, but otherwise, they did the job. After the run my legs felt great. Except for my hip, I was not sore or tired the next day. These tights are a good investment!

5

I love these tights. They stay up. I find most tights are always being pulled down by my leg muscles as I run. They also fit runners. Most brands are too big, even the smalls. The stablizing features really wrk, and help all sorts of injury prone areas. I don't have knee problems, but wearing these tights has helped my chronic hamstring attachment problem. They are the best. I am buying some for xmas gifts!

I've struggled with injuries and I'm embarassed to check Casual/Recreation athlete when I used to be an avid athlete. My lower back, knees and calves felt 20 years younger (I'm 40) while snowboarding today. Invaluable! I'm buying 2 more pair today. If you are injury prone GET THESE TODAY! I would say they are worth the cost and more. I would pay double the price. Please create a colorful tight in size XL. Black is SO BORING!

Worth the cost

Running longer distances with these If you ever put on pantyhose, you won't have a problem with these. They do restrict movement but they also improve my posture and I think because my legs aren't moving quite as much as with shorts on, that's why they help me go longer distances. I'm using less effort. You have to do serious stretching beforehand so they are seeted around the muscles you want to protect.

GREAT TIGHTS!!!!

5

I love these tights! They are very supportive and definitely reduce fatigue on long runs. I originally ordered a medium based on the waist & hips measurements provided ---BAD IDEA ---. I ended up selling those to my running partner and ordered a small based on my height. They will not do you any good if the leg is too long and you cannot position the bands properly. Expect them to be TIGHT like compression sleeves and order as such. Highly recommend!

I was so excited to try these tights based on the reviews. I can understand the rave reviews about the support, I loved they way they felt... until I bent my knees. Every bend caused the material behind my knees to pinched in a manner that was painful. There was no way I could do a short run in these let alone the long runs I was hoping to use them for.

Supportive Tights

5

I've had problems with my knees since I was a teenager so I decided to try these tights out to see what support they could offer me. I am happy that I did! I rarely run more than 5 miles, but they allow me to do that at least without pain. As for the fit, it seemed spot on. Using the chart I was at the top of a S so I opted for a medium since my legs are a little bigger than most gals my height.
