These shorts are awesome (5+), but they have two idiotic flaws that just annoy me.

On the plus side the compression provides perfect support for my hamstrings which in the past always seemed to be one wrong step away from injury especially during my hard runs. For me, this will be a difference maker. Going forward I will use these shorts for all except my easiest runs.

The two flaws that caused me to drop my rating from a 5 to a 4 are: (1) The draw strings are designed so poorly that they become completely frayed when I wash the shorts. This was true on all three pairs of shorts that I have purchased. I was able to fix the problem on one pair by threading the draw string below the fraying. I assume that this will work on the other two. (2) The shorts have a pocket but it is too small for a hotel room guy. When I travel I have to carry my room key during all of my runs. (OK, the first problem is more annoying than the second. I still definitely recommend the shorts for anyone with a hamstring issue).

I had been wearing 2 in 1 compression shorts for my long runs which absorb alot of sweat. The CW-X shorts stayed very dry and were comfortable during long runs.

Typically I won't pay extra for name brands, but this was a nice upgrade which could have me switching over comppletely to CW-X running wear.

I use these running. They run small, I normally wear a medium in shorts or pants, these are a large and are very snug. They do seem to provide the support,like sports taping, as advertised. I would have given them a perfect score, except they creep down from my waist and need to be pulled up.

I'm a 6'1," 200 lb. male runner who rarely gets "nicked" by injuries. However, I pulled my right, mid-to-upper hamstring a couple months ago during training runs, and also suffered a mild groin strain during an organized race. Subsequent runs were increasingly uncomfortable, so I shopped around before finding these CW-X Pro Shorts. Their described "Features & Benefits" were exactly what I was looking for. Since wearing them, my stride is back to normal and my injuries are all but neutralized.

BTW… a Men's "Large" short size fits me perfectly. These are comfortable, sturdy compression shorts that include a left, inner key pocket. I'm also pleased that they're totally black-in-color… no gray as depicted in the corresponding RRS photo. Needless-to-say, I would definitely buy this product again.

Been reading about compression for a bit now, so I decided to see if it actually has any benefits for myself. I'm 5'11" 158lbs, pretty slim. My girlfriend and I run 5k, 10k, 15k, or halfs on the weekends as part of marathon training. I do not have anything else to compare to, but, I did feel a big difference the first time I wore them for a 6 mile run. Comfortable, keep your stride firm, and it really prevents the burn when you are taking on hills.

Its hard to tell if they assist on recovery since I really never stick to one routine, but so far so good. Highly recommended, and if you dont like them, you have 90 days to return lol..
