The dual-layer constructions stays light and breathable even while protecting my feet from blisters (from which I suffer, normally). These socks last a long time--I have several pairs that are 5+ years old (each pair probably sees 6 miles/week in use).

Comments about WrightSock Double Layer CoolMesh II Low Cut 3 pack Socks: The Wright sock is the first I've used that I actually forget I'm wearing them. They are dual layer, thin, and excellent at wicking moisture. They are a title light for hiking, but excellent for running. Note that these do not offer any support rubbing, so be sure to used them with well fitting shoes. After 4 washes and 28 miles, they seem to be holding up well.
