I've been using Endurox on the bike for three years now. I have been around and trialed just about every drink floating around in the world of triathlon and so far I haven't been able to part with Endurox. My body craves the stuff when I run out of it on long rides and I'm forced to switch to gas station gatorade. I don't suggest drinking substantial amounts before an intense run (I'm assuming the protein in it, which is a blessing on the bike, is what disrupts the bouncing GI tract on the run.) I've found as long as I'm not chugging bottles of it it works just fine on the run too though. But if you're a cyclist, there's nothing better in my experience. It helped me achieve a 7th place overall amateur bike split during the Lake Placid Ironman, so I think it deserves every one of its five stars.

I really had good results with the lemon-flavor. I used it while training and during my last 1/2 and full marathons this past May. The taste is a bit icky when warm, but I usually mixed it with ice cubes and water in my hand-held water bottle to keep it cool as long as possible. I had no tummy problems, and I really felt it helped with energy on those runs longer than 1 hour.

I would give the product a 5 but the last time I ordered the Orange it DID NOT have caffeine in it. I love accelerade and have gotten many of my friends to try and use. Right now I have the lemonade with caffeine, but would like the orange back. Even asked the guy at warehouse in Columbus to look if they had any of the older stuff and they didn't. Wish other flavors came with caffeine too. Hope RRS will offer the Accelerade Hydro soon....

I have always loved the Accel Gel on long runs and when I ran out I had a container of Accerade that I purchased from my local running store. I drank 12 oz prior to a long run and really did feel the difference. My son uses it before his hockey games. He calls it Hurcu-aid, you know like Hurcules. I do think that RRS has a high price, my local running store charges much less and I am a VIP member.

I've used accelerade for quite some time. I started noticing GI problems on runs over 2 hrs and switched drinks. GI problems stopped. I probably won't use it again even though I like the protein idea

I like the mountain berry, when i went to order it they didn't have it in stock. So that is why I dropped two stars. The drink is a great choice

This product is fine, but RRS took a major step back in discontinuing the Orange flavored drink that does not contain caffeine. I see no reason for any runner to require caffeine during a run, and I am an early morning runner. I had call Pacific Health to confirm that they still sell non-caffinated Orange--they do--and then I had to go to an RRS competitor to buy it. I STRONGLY recommend that RRS start selling non-caffinated Orange again. They'll have to if they want my regular business for this drink.

Out of all the sports drinks I've tried, Accelerade (fruit punch) suits me the best for long, strenuous bike rides (never tried any sports drinks during a run though). First of all, it doesn't make me phlegmy like the others do. Second, it feels like fuel for my body: it's hard to describe the feeling, but after I drink some on a ride, it feels like "my body needed that" -- whereas after I drink other sports drinks on a ride, it feels like "hope that helps." =)
