Comments about Garmin Forerunner 201:

I have had this GPS for about 25 runs or so. In that time I have had about 1/5 of my runs come up inaccurately measured. Mainly this was due to heavy overhead foliage. The virtual assistant is a little dodgy! Setting a pace on a measured course came up a little slow ( the GPS beeps on the miles, and it would beep about 100 or so feet before the measured mile marker). The memory function is outstanding though! I have all of my runs saved, and most with maps and comments. Would I spend the money again?? Yes...at least until Garmin and Apple get together to make a GPS/iPod single unit.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 201:

A nice little tool to have so you dont end up driving around in your car trying toi measure running routes! And the timing function is great as well. As for the GPS, i thinkits about average. Given its small size i think Garmin skimped on the antenna. It takes a while to lock on to satellites, esp where i am in NYC among buildings. And hgeavy tree cover affects it as well. Once it does connect though it is great. I usually spend some time stretching while i wait for it to lock up on the satellites. Also, if you get this you need to go to Garmin's web site and download the tools for it. you can download your entire run history and it shows you maps and elevations of the run.
