Finally gps is getting smaller. I got my wife the green one, it's still about 1/4 in. thick, but definitely fits a womens wrist better than any others.

I run, like at least 5-6 days a week if its a good week for me. I used to run with the Garmin Forerunner 205 (bulky!!!) but my parents finally bought me the FR 10 and it changed everything! I love the accuracy, the pace it gives me, and just how simple it is. I do interval work and speed work, and this does great for that. I also do a lot of distance running, and this watch has great battery for it. I just highly recommend this watch to runner.

I use this Garmin for running. I enjoy the limited features of the watch as I'm not really interested in elevation, heart rate, and all of the other features of more pricy Garmins. I enjoy having to push real buttons to change screens/options and not having a super sensitive bezel - that will freak out in the rain. So far I haven't noticed anything I'm not impressed with.

I purchased this as a first time Garmin watch user. I liked the size since it wasn't much larger than regular sports Timex watch I have been using to keep track of my time. (I have a 6 1/2' wrist.) It was fairly easy to follow directions and I really enjoy downloading my exercise to the Garmin Connect website. It has been really helpful as my friends and I are training for a half marathon. Seeing the mileage add up is great incentive to keep going especially on familiar routes (walking dog, jogging) that I was just guessing at the mileage. Calorie count at the end is an added bonus! :)

I love the size of this; my old Garmin was clunky and ugly. But this new GPS needs charging fairly often and I still have not figured out how to pause and resume. I'm sure I will appreciate it more once I have learned how to use it better!

After having owned several other GPS watches/products, this one tops the cake. It's easy to use right out of the box. Size is perfect for smaller wrists which is not easy to find. Easy to use when actually running or exercising. Took a little while to get the location but that time reminded me to stretch a little more. I love my new toy.

The Garmin 10 replaced my old Garmin 205 and is very easy to use and much more comfortable to wear. The watch automatically records mile splits, and that with the ability to download to Garmin Connect makes this GPS watch a real winner.

Wow have we come a long way from those first GPS watches. 5 miles would leave my wrist aching and brusied. This is an improvement, but still a bit painful for those with a small wrist. But the downloadable info is superb. I travel for my job and bringing this thing home and looking at my runs from different cities is fun and rewarding.

Device is OK but the display is too limited. Would prefer to be able to see average pace while exercising as opposed to current pace. You do get the average for the run at the end when you save but it makes it impossible to meet a goal.

I can get about two 10K runs out of this watch before recharging, so at my pace it doesn't make it through a full marathon! But for daily use it is light-weight, comfortable, and easy to read. I like to know the basics: time of day, distance and pace.

I love the color and size of this Garmin and it is very easy to use; however, when it said it gave "pace," I assumed that included average pace, which is very important to me. It does not. If it did display average pace (while running rather than just after the run is complete), it would be the perfect Garmin for me, yet it does not.

Like ability to chart distances on runs! Time & distance are easy to read while running.

Seems to take too long for GPS unit to be located by satellite.

So, this is my first GPS monitor. I had been tracking my runs with my phone, which is practical, but not very accurate.

First impressions: It is smaller than expected, just a tad bigger than my G-Shock watch. It will pass for a watch and the charge lasts a good while if not tracking. It has been pretty accurate and it acquires the location in under 30 secs, which I think is great compared with my phone.
THE BEST THING about the FR10 is that it took me about 10 minutes to figure it out (without a manual). I literally was able to take a short test run within 30 minutes of it hitting my door. AWESOME!
Can't speak for reliability, but since it didn't break the bank, I could get another one in a year and not cry about it.
Bottom line, you get all you need in a GPS monitor for a steal.

Love this, it has totally trnasformed my running. I only started running last year after spending most of my life a swimmer. I was used to having a clock on the side of the pool throughout all my workouts to track my progress and now I have the running equivalent.

It was a gift because all my cycling computers failed ( I had 2). I wanted a device that would keep track of my mileage and basic pace data.This works for cycling except for the caloric expenditure ( I don't care about that). It is even better for running. If you want a device that does heart monitor readings and such, this isn't it, but if you want a very functional device, it's great. It also doubles as a nighttime clock! I recently gave one to my son, so I obviously like it.

I am a high school student and run track and cross country. I am going to continue running both in college and wanted a watch that would give me pace splits and distance but didn't look dorky. I've had the watch for a week and have used it for track workouts and 2 track meets. The most I have had to wait for a signal is a 1 minute (in a small Texas town) and the battery lasts longer than I expected. It is a little thick, but it's reliable and super comfortable and I feel like it's very durable, I have hit it against a few doors and walls on accident and there is no damage. I love the color and my running friends have given it tons of compliments, I even wear it to class. I'm excited to see how it does on trail runs!

This watch is great. It has just enough features for what I need. It's very easy to use and seems to pick up a satellite signal pretty quickly. I like the fact that it beeps and shows me my per-mile pace every mile. Uploading the the Garmin site is easy too. I am 5 feet tall with a very small frame and this watch isn't too big on me. I really like it.

I wasnt sure if the black one wud be too big lookn, like most GPS watches, therefore ive never bought one b/c they look too manly! I testd it today in Honolulu area, came in mail 2 days ago.

First,it had a problem pickn up satellite, so i took off watch, lifted above head a lil' bit & whoa-la, solid pick-up! Followed instructions, easy as pie, i love it! And b/c the watch is light, size didnt become an issue. I'm not sure why Garmin cant make the black one, the same size like pink & green one. I'm tempted to get the green one, but black is less conspicous than the large white face. I saw the pink & black one in the store & size wasnt that much of difference, so chose black, shows less dirt in the long run.

It's also easy to download ur runs, the only drawback w/ watch is the battery, 5hrs max when using GPS feature. Why cant Garmin make their watches partly solar powered?!?

What's so cool too is when u make an account online for ur Garmin runs, it shows other routes around ur location that u may want to try.
