Cons Best Uses Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: I recently bought this to replace my old forerunner 110 - which i liked, and really did not feel like I needed an upgrade. But I was very impressed by the 620 - its much lighter and thinner than the 110t and grabs satellites much quicker than the 110. Very happy with the 620.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: I bought this watch in December 2014 and have used it 4-5 times/week since then. I love its running-centricness and use it to track HR, distance, pace, splits, cadence, vertical oscillation, etc. I have not yet tried to download workouts from Garmin Connect nor do I post workouts on social media although this watch has that functionality. I do use its Livetrack feature; my husband appreciates knowing where I am, especially for those pre-dawn runs. I managed to crack the face but it still works. Occassionally I must restart my iPhone 6 to have it talk to this watch. Other than that, no problems. I run 20-30 miles/week and train for halfs. I never run longer than about 2.25 hours. The battery lasts hours with GPS capability on and days if it's off. I'm a petite, slender woman and the band fits comfortably around my skinny wrists. I find configuration pretty intuitive, including setup, and Garmin's online guides are helpful when I can't figure something out. I do find the small fonts on some of the data screens difficult to read w/out glasses. While doing the workout, the screens showing HR, pace, etc. are big enough to read w/out them. Its GPS accuracy is dismal indoors. GPS is accruate and consistent on outdoor runs. I wear the HR monitor strap and successfully eliminated chafing with Glide. I recommend this product.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: Have used most gps watches on the market and this one is by far the best! VERY easy to set up and pair with HRM (which I highly recommend purchasing as it "unlocks" other great features in the watch) very accurate and battery is long lasting.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: GPS watches have come a long way in 5 years. I came from a Timex GPS watch that was terrible, it would only catch a signal 10% of the time after waiting 5 minutes. Of course never on race morning. I'd get frustrated hearing the beeps of everyone turning on garmin with no issues.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: I ended up ordering their heart rate strap. You need it to use all of the functions. In order to have the VO2 feature you need it. I don't have the most current version of windows or operating system to have the needed software for their wireless feature. I like the feature that tells you if you are feeling good to run or not and how long you should recover. It really is amazing how accurate it is!

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: This is by far the easiest Garmin to use! I owned a 205 and most recently, a 410 prior to the 620. It seems to lock onto satellites quicker and it paired with the heart rate monitor that came with my 410 (I never could get the 410 to pair with it). My only issue (which is the same issue I have had with all my Garmins) is it does not track the mileage on the wooded trails accurately. However, I did use it right out of the box before registering it and finding out it needed 2 updates. I have not trail-run with it since I did the updates..so the problem may now be fixed. My previous Garmin lost approx. .2 mile every mile when comparing to park service mileage markers. Hopefully, this will no longer be the case!

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: I rely heavily on GPS watches to manage my training. I have had a Nike+ Sportwatch for the last 3 or so years and while that served it purpose it was ONLY capable of tracking runs. The price of the Nike watch was what swayed me back then. I decided I wanted a watch that would do more than track runs and I'm glad I waited for this version of the Garmin Forerunner. I am excited to use it for training for Grandma's Marathon this year. Of course, the cost is what held me back but I honestly do think that if you want all the info to help with your training program, this is the watch for you. If you are a triathlete, I would probably suggest another watch as this one probably should not be used in the water but I plan to wear this watch when I bike and run and also for other activities like hiking, XC skiing, snowshoeing, etc.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: This watch is superfast to lock onto satellites as compared to the nike+ watches. I love the notification of split times as it vibrates during the run. It has a lot of features not all of which I use but it is also somewhat customizable as far as the data screens. I was disappointed by the display. I thought the display would be a vibrant colorful display rather the color is hardly noticeable. Overall this watch is super light and durable.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: Upgraded from a Garmin 410. After one week I'm impressed. The watch is intuitive, the upload to Garmin Connect was simple, the split times are easy to read on the larger dial, the vibration alert is hard to miss on splits, it seems to pick up the satellites quickly, and the watch doesn't look ridiculous to wear even when not running. Haven't tried any advanced features yet, used it in the rain, or used it on a really long run.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: If you have the 610 which I did just keep using it. This 620 is just not worth the heavy price tag. If its your first Garmin you will like it ; but for me just not enough features to justify the cost...

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 620 GPS Monitors: I had the non HR version on pre order since Sept 26 and it kept getting delayed!I ended up getting the HR version for full price plus overnight shipping from another place.I don't have home internet so this linking via Bluetooth was a blessing! Now I just need to update firmware at my sisters, which it already needs updated after one week of use.The race predictor is really awesome but it will take it at least a week for it to learn you!
