Cons Best Uses good flavor, not overly sweet, good consistency Pros Cons Best Uses the espresso is not so sweet so is tolerated better by my stomach. Seems thicker than other brand gels, so winter weather use can be challenging.

Best Uses These are my favorite energy gels. I really like the raspberry flavor (it tastes like the raspberry filling in those oatmeal raspberry bars - no joke!). I tried a few flavors and only really disliked the orange flavor - it didn't seem like real orange to me. They provide the best sustained energy with no crash, as they are low in sugar. They may be too thick for some people, but I think they're in the middle of the spectrum. The taste and flavor is the best in cold weather, so I recommend refrigerating them if before running if it's no cold out.

Have been using Hammer Gel for a while and find that it is the best for me and my training (training for an ultra). I have tried other gels and they often contain gluten which I cannot have and I end up with GI issues. Another plus is the flavors taste great.
