Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: Needed a different shoe to make my Half Marathons more comfortable.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: Overall, I like the product although initially, I found the toe box too wide but I made some adjustments with orthos and experimented with difference socks. However, the thin tongues are horrific. I have gone through two pairs and the eyelets have caused sores. During a marathon, I tore off a piece of sponge and stuck that in to alleviate the discomfort. I finally took an old pair of Asics and cut out the tongue and inserted those to solve the problem. I did take out the original laces and put in the alternate "normal" pair but that was not a total solution either. For the price of these shoes, I expect almost-perfection. Finally, I also found that they wear fairly quickly and I only run on the road.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: After running my last half, my body hurt from absorbing all the road shock; I knew it was time to change shoes. My ultra runner girlfriend suggested Hoka. I took one look down at her Hokas and thought, nope! "I can't get over the look". Which apparently is the most common saying. I found myself in the running store trying these on the next day. The minute I tried these shoes on, I knew these were the ONES for me! I like the ready laces, the secure fit of the uppers, the marshmallowy cushion soles and how lightweight the shoe was. I couldn't wait to try it out. I took it out for a 3 mile spin and boy did my body appreciate the ride! Super comfortable shoe and now I don't think I can try anything else. Side bar: when I was measured for the shoe, I was told that my foot was a wide! I've never had a wide foot ever. These shoes fit great in the toe box and width. After my 3 mile ride, I wore my shoes for an hour after. My feet started to swell (as they naturally do after a run) and I felt my pinky toes being pinched a bit. I don't know if this will be a problem in the future. I guess I have to go on another ride to investigate. Definitely happy about this purchase.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: I used Conquest because Bondi 3 destroyed my toe nails. Conquest does not have a cushy feel of Bondis and the bottom felt stiff so I felt more impact of the road. However, the shoes are great for hot weather races/runs because they drain water very well - I did not have that uncomfortable squish from pool of sweat caught in my shoes. The outer sole wears out rather quickly which was the same as Bondi. However, I was able to complete endurance races in Conquest without much issues.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: I am a runner with a knee problem. These shoes help significantly with pain reduction as they absorb so much shock.. Very comfortable to run both on roads and on trails. I am not sure about the toe box and if it's too narrow. I do not have wide feet but like a wider shoe . These gave some numbness in toes after running for awhile. I'm waiting to see if it's just break in..I am hesitant to part with theses shoes as they are so comfortable aside from the toe box issue! Still deciding..

Cons Best Uses Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: I'm not a runner but I suffer from nerve damage cause by multiple sclerosis that has left my feet numb/tingly and badly affected my balance. These shoes are a life saver! I was able to run for the first time in two years after putting them on and, after about six months of ownership, they remain the most comfortable shoes I own. They are lightweight and breathe well, and the wide base helps keep me from randomly toppling over. I can only imagine what they'd do for someone without nerve damage!

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: I own and love the Hoka Stinson Trail shoes and was excited to try these. Boy was I disappointed. Even after about 50miles (8 or so runs) I literally feel like I am running on wood planks. They look like they have a lot of cushioning but it's not translating to footbed--too rigid or something. Also causes blisters on heel virtually every time I wear. Huge bummer for such a high cost.
Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: I found these comfy and cushioned on my first day oou in them on a recovery run following a 22 miler. That day they were good, but I did get a blister on the top of my foot at the nearest shoestring hole on my right foot the following week's recovery run. Inspection inside suggests to me the tongue gets bunchy and doesn't sit flat on the top of the foot, causing blistering. I have been told by an RRS staff shoe salesperson that I have a high-volume foot, probably due to an extremely high arch, so this is likely part of the blistering issue for me, although I've read others also get blisters in the same area. I hope hoka fixes the tongue on this shoe in future versions.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: I've been running these off/on since January so I've put quite the mileage on them. I've also got other Hoka's (Clifton and Bondi 3) and, of the three, this one has the strangest shaped toe box, is pretty narrow, and has a long toe box but not necessarily high. I hope that makes sense.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: This is the best shoe ever! I'm a 41 year old who has only been running for 5 years. I have tried many shoes and have been faithful to Asics NImbus after failed attempts of trying different brands. I was quite hesistant to try the Hoka One One brand but took the chance. These shoes are like running on air! In addition, they are very durable! I usually have to replace my Asics every 300 miles because they tend to wear so soon. I have had the Conquest since February and they are still going the distance! I am a long distance runner who runs an average of 15-20 miles a week off season and 25-35 miles a week during marathon training. The shoes do fit true to size. I usually wear a 9 in Asics and I wear a 8 in this shoe.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: I have been an avid runner for over 38 years; running is just a part of life. A year ago, I developed some knee pain that got to the point where I thought my running days were over. Not wanting to give it up, I tried the Hoka One One Conquest and lo and behold, I can run pain free. The Hoka's are lightweight allowing for a fast foot turnover. The cushioning provides protection from the concrete but does not give you a mushy feel. The shoe runs ½ size big. I have worn a size 8 in Ascics, Nike, Brooks, Newtons,... But I had to exchange the size 8 in this shoe for a 7 ½ . Now it is perfect.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: My right knee had been inexplicably bothering me and hindered my running/walking/working out...got these shoes three weeks ago, have walked every other day since then, and my knee has quit hurting and feels much more stable. Love these shoes.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: I got this shoe to get back into running after a 4 month injury and recovery. It did have a stable platform on which to stand, but did not inspire a desire to run. Although the cushioning was generous, it felt like trying to run on stilts. Also, my wide feet with narrow heels felt like they were in a box too tight at the widest part and too wide at the heel. They had no shape. In my mind they are a fad shoe. Back to Brooks for me.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: These shoes do everything Hoka says they will: lightweight, cushioned, help with recovery. I've tried the Biondi 3, toe box way too wide. Not so with Conquest, while not a narrow toe box, it is def. more narrow than Biondi 3. Great for treadmill running as well as roads. A tiny bit difficlut running uphill, but worth the trade off as running downhill takes all the pressure off your quads. Recovery was amazing: a day after a 12.5 miler, legs were noticeably much less beat up. Order a half size DOWN from your regular running shoe.

Comments about Womens Hoka One One Conquest Running Shoe: Having recently had knee surgery I was looking for a shoe that would cushion impact especially on cement. The Hokas are the only shoe I've been able to wear that I don't feel impact on my repaired knee. These shoes are very comfortable, have awesome cushioning, and feel very light. I took a chance on these shoes I'd never heard of before, but they delivered in every way.
