I am a big fan of Hoka One Ones. This is my third pair and by far my favorite. I loved the Bondi B 2 and these remind me of how those feel but so much lighter weight. They look narrower and that is more appealing for me as well. I love the upper, they are not stiff. Ran my first day a 5k and then the next day ran 10 miles in them. Comfortable and cushioning.

Very light and comfortable
Out of the box into a 20 miler run. Amazing shoes!
No blisters or soreness.
I have been running in Kailua's tarmac and found them a bit too heavy and too bulky, Hoka has fixed these problems with the Huakas.
Love this shoes!
The absolute perfect running shoe!
Great job Hoka One One; you nailed it with the Huaka!
I just got back from testing my favorite road/trail shoe on an 8.5 mile run looping up, over and down Franconia Ridge in NH. These shoes ate up the ultra rugged terrain. There was no slipping, no foot fatigue or soreness, just lightweight, stable perfection. I am reluctant to even try one of your trail shoes because the versatility of the Huaka is so appealing. Though the sole is not heavily lugged or Vibram, they dance over slab, loose rocks and any terrain thrown at them. I am a big fan, thank you. Next week I will try them on Bond Range.
I initially chose the Huaka because of my narrow feet and the fact that I enjoy both road and trail running equally. I did down-size one full size (to an 8) after ordering my usual size 9. The soles are wearing out faster than my old shoes but that is a small price to pay for perfection (and they still perform well).
Thanks again and keep up the good work. At 51 years I feel like these shoes will help me continue running well past 100.
Love my Huakas
My running store talked me into trying Huaka, warning me that they would feel strange the first couple of days. They did, and then they were wonderful. I went back for my second pair a few months later and they didn't have in stock, so ordered in a new color online. My first pair does appear to have worn down faster than my other shoes have in the past. I don't care. They feel great and I am happy. My only request: offer in a more mellow color; perhaps shades of grey. I like the bright colors for running outside as the visibility is good. But sometimes I want to put on a pair of run/walk shoes and go out to lunch or run errands or whatever and still be ready to hop on the trail for a walk or run. Bright coral and hot green don't always suit the bill. Also for travel it would be better too, allowing me to pack lighter.

I run an average of 20-30 miles per week. Have been running for over 12 years. Compete in many charity runs. I have ALWAYS bought my shoes 1/2 size large but I do NOT recommend you do that with these shoes. They are HUGE and WIDE. Blister on bottom of big toe first three runs wearing them (within 4 miles). Never had that happen before. One eyelet on right shoe digs into the top of my foot. Tried to "flatten" it with pliers but didn't help, cotton ball seems to work best. They are super light, quiet, and cushy when running. This is the most I've ever spent on a pair of running shoes and will go back my other brand ASAP. Thought maybe they'd be better but I can get two pairs for what these cost without the pain. No change in run time or distance with this product like other reviews claim.
stiffer than the Clifton
I got this shoe thinking it would be an "upgrade" from the Clifton, and maybe last more miles. When I got it, I found it was very big, maybe one whole size fit bigger than normal (I ordered the same size that fit me well with the Clifton). Also, when I started running in them, I found that the base of the tongue edges were somehow pressing into my foot while running, causing a painful pressure point. Also, the notch on the side for that bone that sticks out on your ankle, it was not deep enough and was rubbing my ankle and causing pain as well. I found this weird since the Clifton fit so well and was so comfortable. Wish it worked better for me, but I'll be going back to the Clifton.
I normally use Brooks Transcend but they aren't the best for trail running. Transcends are a bit heavy too. I tried the Hoka Biondi a year ago for plantar fasciitis I was dealing with and they made it worse so I was hesitant to give Hoka a try again. After reading reviews, I decided the Hoka again for trail purposes. Love the Hauka! It grips the trail and cut my time by a full minute and I run about 7 to 10 miles of trails during a run. The gripe I have is that the material is flimsy and the tread is already wearing after 10 runs. I am not crazy about the lacing system either, but deal with it. I would recommend this shoe if you want to improve your time on the trails and enjoy a light, bouncy shoe!

Best Shoes Ever!
I have had a bad knee all my life. After two surgeries, I was left with little meniscus - mostly bone on bone. This make running, hiking, etc. basically impossible. However, I still need exercise, so I bought these shoes to wear in an aerobic class and they are amazing! The impact absorbtion is like no other I have ever experienced, and my feet feel very well protected and not not hurt (like they did in my previous shoes). You don't have to be an avid athlete or a relentless runner to feel the benefits of a good shoe!

Runner for 14 years
I've been running for years and have always purchased my shoes 1/2 size larger. I do not recommend that with these shoes. They fit too loose and I have a wide foot. Blister on big toe on first and second run wearing because the toe box is so wide. Also one eyelet had to be "smashed" with plyers because it was rubbing on top of foot after tying the laces tighter. I was really hoping to love these shoes but right now I'm mildly disappointed after spending so much money. They are light, quiet and soft while running however.
I love these shoes!
These are so comfortable, I forget about my shoes when I wear them. The store owner warned me that they would feel weird for a couple of days and encouraged me to give them time. So glad I listened, because yes, they did feel strange at first, but yes, a couple of days and they feel like they were made for my feet! Love the way they fasten, so quick off and on. Wish they made a boring neutral version for when I don't want my feet to flash! Going to order the coral tomorrow, I have the blue & green now.

I love Hoka one one, They are my second pair now!
I have tried around 6 different brands for running and when I found out about Hoka and used them for the first time I felt so comfortable. By now I have been running with them for 2 years and just got my second pair.
I've always had joints injure in my knees, and none of the other brands had help me for this as Hoka did. I would just like to improve the arch for my feet, but for the rest I feel awesome. Already ran my first 21K with them and no pain at all!
San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Most comfortable road shoe i have ever owned. I started with the Clifton but the fit was not right for my narrow low volume feet, the Huaka is perfect! I did size down 1/2 size, normally run in 9.5 in most brands but in Hoka a size 9 works. Only gripe is that the outsoles wore down fast, after 300+ miles the tread was completely gone, i have never worn the tread off of a road shoe before. That said i did buy a second pair. Great shoe.
Feels Good on the Road
This is my 2nd pair of Hokas. My spouse got them for my birthday. Hokas have made it possible for me to run again after years of finding alternative exercise because the road was too much impact. This pair is good. After my first couple of runs (6 miles each) I noticed that the tops of my feet were a little sore. I'll get used to them. I couldn't run without them. I want to try HOKA trail shoes next.
the best running shoe ever
This is my second pair of Hokas, previously wore through a pair of Hoka Bondi's. I've been running for almost 40 years, through Sauconny, Nike, and more recently Newtons.
The Hoka cushioning for road running is superb without being wishy washy for road feel. These are extremely lightweight for fast foot turnover, great for racing without sacrificing the bones in your feet or your knees.
They run true to size, so you don't need to order up a size in order to keep from loosing your toenails.
You won't regret owning these. They are great.
Freak of Nature
relieved my plantars pain
I have been struggling with plantars for the past 2 years after running several marathons in minimal shoes. The Huaka allowed me to run without limping for the first time in months. The low drop but deep cushioning still gives me the advanatages of minimalist shoes but without the severe impact on my feet. My plantars is far from healed, but at least I can run again without much pain.
Exactly as it's billed
I've been using Stinsons once or twice a week for about a year when I'm doing extreme downhill running or when I'm injured, recovery running. Once I got over the fact that they are NOT cute, I loved them. But this Huaka is a whole new thing... it's all the benefits of the old Stinson but it's breathable and much lighter weight... the upper is like a coarse mesh. And the color is livable compared to the other women's Hoka colors.
Great Comfort, well sized
My Dr recommended these as a replacement for a much heavier shoe that I wore for comfort. These are light enough that I feel like I'm not wearing shoes. The only reminder is an uncormfortable seam on the top of the shoe. I could completely ignore this, if there were just a bit more arch support. I think these are fine for casual wear, but more support is needed for athletic use.
light and no pressure areas
I first ordered conquest which I found too heavy then ordered Huaka which I used twice then ran a marathon with it. It was light even with my full customize orthotics. This shoe gave me lot of cushion and was light enough that I didn't feel the weight of the shoe even after running full marathon. It has a wide toe box which helped with my bunions. The only issue I had was the "tongue "of the shoe caused blister on my foot but I then again since I also used no show socks. Overall it's a great shoe and I highly recommend this style and will definitely try another Hoka shoe.
good shoe for walking the dog. or running the dog
Arch support isn't very good.
Love the look
Love the mesh non binding upper and wide toe box
First Time User
I was looking for a lightweight shoe that could provide support. I run on mostly gravel roads and need something that can hold up to uneven terrain. Only had them for a few weeks but they seem to do well. Did switch out the laces with the others that came in the box. Pulling the shoe on with the installed laces was a huge pain!
best running shoe
This is my fifth pair of Huakas. I love them!
Even use them in the track and have done 8 marathons and a few other distance races in them, from half to 5ks. Overall a great, super comfy and lightweight shoe.
The pairs I don't train in anymore I use them for work as the upper looks like new after 500 miles
Great shoe, very comfortable
I use this shoe to run on roads to decrease the cushion--I got the trail version because I'm going to use them on trails over the summer. The tread might wear down a bit until then, but these shoes are great. Very cushioned ride but super light and speedy. My legs feel a lot less whipped after hard runs on the road.
Surprisingly light and nimble!
Have never work Hoka's before for fear of a heavy/bulky/overkill experience. Happily surprised that these shoes are light and nimble and extremely comfortable on hard surfaces. I ski all winter and don't run again until springtime - these shoes allowed me to go for a longer "re-entry" run without any resulting soreness.
Not what I wanted
The new uppers material does not support the foot like the original hoka uppers. It might be lightweight and breathable but really compromises support, the foot is not held at all, pronation control is non existent
I own a pair of Hoka Kailuas and love them in comparison
I always have trouble with shoes that the arch doesn't fit right. This shoe has that fit I have been wanting. I liked that it came with a second set of laces as I didn't like the original ones. I can wear these all day long and feel good at the end of the day.
Free floating comfort with traction
Second pair of Huaka's, up to the same standard as the first. Light, toes/forefoot are free to roam the toebox, fastening system is perfect, traction is enough for dry and leafy trails but not too much to disallow comfortable road running.

Great multi-purpose shoe
Really like the support and cushioning, using for gym, walking 5+ miles, running 3+ miles. I had tried on a friends pair and found the 8.5 just right, though in nearly all other shoes I wear a 9....so half size smaller was correct.
I have No hip pain after a long run with my Hoka the have alot of support . I have been raving about them for awhile and talking my friends into purchasing them .
Love my Hoka
I needed a shoe that had a lot of cushion. I have a bad back, bunions, and flat feet. I feel this shoe has helped in every aspect of my issues for road running.
Clinton Township, Mi
I run regularly with some neck, lower back and feet issues( not at the same time) and these sneakers allow me to continue running without pain:)
