    Fig based gel - tastes more like fruit than typical syrupy gels - is a bit tart, and has a fruit texture vs. sugar. I like it as an alternative. I was concerned about "gastric distress" being fig based, but no issues at all!

      What a refreshing change from all the sticky, syrupy gels on the market! I love that this is made with REAL FOOD - Organic fig paste - AND that it's the primary ingredient (instead of being last in a list of things I can't pronounce). The flavors are quite unique and even a tiny bit tart when compared with all the vanilla, chocolate, and fruity flavors in the market. But it's true to it's word - no aftertaste or any nasty film left over from artificial ingredients. This is something I grab anytime I need a snack, not just before or during exercise.

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
