      I do crossfit but was reluctant to jump on the innov8 bandwagon, I wanted a light weight trail shoe for the Spartan race, I tried these on and they were so comfortable out of the box I bought them and raced in them the next day, 9.5 miles of trails and obstacles, the shoes held up really well. They were very comfortable and responsive. You should have good running technique as they can be unforgiving if you are a heel striker. They hosed off and looked like new after the race. My feet were very comfortable, I tend to get blisters and hot spots but did not with these shoes I love them and will be trying the road version. Sizing is tricky as they come in mens sizes, I usually run in a W-7 I tried the 5.5 as recommended but they were too large I ended up with a sise 5 which was perfect.

      I've been wearing these on all types of trails, and I love them. I just ran a race with them in a downpour- and they were perfect for the terrain. I really trust my feet in these shoes. I watch other runners fall- and I'm confident that these shoes will hold the surface.

      They are minimal with very little cushion, but comfortable.

        I bought these shoes with an eye towards finding a comfortable product that was light and offered superior traction on technical trails. I am very pleased. With other brands, I normally get a size 10.5 in order to get sufficient toe room. I bought size 10 X-Talon's; they fit like a glove compared to my other trail shoes. This shoe has a breathable upper - i.e. don't buy if you are looking for a waterproof shoe. Do buy if you see streams as just something else to run through. :-)

        If you are looking for lightweight trail shoes these are fantastic. The grip is great and I've worn them for runs ranging from 5-10 miles so far. I have slightly narrow feet so I don't see that as a con, but I would caution those with wider feet. I would urge women to think about the sizing before they order though since they only come in mens sizes. I am a solid 7.5 in regular shoes but normally wear 8s for running. I ended up going with the size 6 which is a snugger fit, but really helps grip the trail.
