    Comments about Inov-8 Bare-XF 210 Cross Training Shoe:

    Wife hated the look of toe shoes so after over a year in Vibrams I decided to look for a closed toe alternative. I do a lot of Crossfit that includes lots of 400m runs on pavement in addition to Olympic lifting. I also do a fair amount of trail running. The shoes perform great on all counts. With so little width in the sole, their as solid as lifting shoes, just don't have the angle that some like. For me I like it b/c it's more natural and forces more ankle flexibility, proprioception, and balance. While running, it forces a toe strike, even for a former heel striker. With extra reinforcement in the upper, these hold up on rope climb decents. After about 9 mos in them of constant wear as an all-around non-work and athletic shoe, they're just now developing a small tear near the outside of the pinkie toe. Rocky trails can be a little painful, forcing me to be very conscious of how I strike and what I land on. Great shoes - about to buy another pair!
