Since RoadRunner does not sell the 212 I decided to try the 200's. Right out of the box they are light and comfortable. My only issue, and it's a big one, is that the fabric keeps ripping out right by my pinkie toe. I returned one pair and received two more to rotate. One pair is doing the same thing already so I'm about to return both pairs. Luckily RoadRunner is very good about returns. I will still buy Inov-8's, probably, just not the 200's.

I usually do not write reviews of shoes but felt compelled with this one. This shoe performed beyond my expectations for a Spartan Beast Race. No slipping the entire race thru mud, rock, ice, water and snow. excellent wide toe box. First race without any toe, foot or ankle pain post-race. slight heal abrasion post-race but no blisters. Agree with recommendation about sizing up 1/2 size.
Pros Cons Best Uses Since these shoes are new to the market I was a bit concerned about the lack of reviews available but I took a risk and bought a pair. After receiving my shoes, I tried them on and found them very comfortable. I find that I often have problems with the fit of shoes because i prefer my shoes tighter looser in the toe and conforming everywhere else. The lacing system allows me to cinch the shoes down to fit my foot perfectly. The toe box remains roomy regardless of the laces. Since my feet swell during races this is a nice feature that allows for expansion. The toe box, while roomy, is not bulky. This is important because I run a lot of obstacle races that require the ability to grip with my toes. The sole of the shoe has cleat-like grips so I wouldn't recommend these for running on anything but dirt as you would likely rip the lugs right off. These would excellent for runs or races, mud runs especially, where good traction is a must. I took them out for a test spin and tested the drainage. I ran through a small creek several times and my feet stayed relatively dry. The mesh on the shoe allows for good drainage. Overall, I am extremely impressed with this shoe in terms of customization, comfort, and drainage, which is good because I have a lot of races this year.
