By Annie

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana Running Shoe:

I'm aiming for my first marathon late next year at age 48, and these are the best shoes I've ever run in! I took them for a 6 mile run right out of the box and my feet/knees were fine - many many runs later they are still great. I'm 5'5"/145# female with narrow feet and no arches. This is the best shoe I've found - after going through several NB and Saucony, styles and Asics 2100 (no one in our flat footed family of 5 runners can run in this shoe - it hurts our feet).

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana Running Shoe:

I have tried every other brands' stability cushion shoe to no avail. I ABSOLUTELY love the Nirvana and am completely bummed that there are no more in my size. I avg. 145-150lbs and flat foot even runner - 5-15 miles a week and have not found a shoe that keeps me feeling great as long as the Nirvana - way to go Mizuno!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana Running Shoe:

I am big guy with high flexible arches. This is the best shoe Mizuno makes and much better than any other brand's top line stability model. I have tried them all. No complaints about this shoe. Plus should you ever have a problem Mizuno goes out of its way to help. Would recommend for those needing good cushioning with some stability.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana Running Shoe:

Great shoe. I'm a runner only 'cause I need to be in part because I have a knee that has been largely reconstructed. I'm also 195 lbs on a 5'10" frame. I've tried Nike Shox 2:45's and ASICS GelKayano's and the Nirvana's are better. Not only is the overall, including midfoot cushioning better (ChiRunning) but these shoes have much better stability. They are fine with their own sockliners. Best of all they don't feel dead but I don't have that many miles on them yet. Best shoe yet for me.

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana Running Shoe:

Always go bt Hurricane and Kayano...gave thses a try never going back. Im a bigger guy 190- and 300 miles from the former, but am at 400 with Nirvana. Not a huge difference in new pairs of all these shoes but I'll take 100-200 miles for an expensive shoe any day. I'll let you guys know at what pt the sore knees kick in

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana Running Shoe:

Great Shoes! I am 5' 11" 190 lbs with nornmal arches that need support. Tried (and have) several other pairs from Brooks (Adrenaline), Asics (2090 and DS Trainers), Nike (Triax) Saucony (Hurricane 7) and Mizuno (Mercury, Alchemy and Inspire). Training for 2005 NYC Marathon (my third). I like these the best of all. They just really feel nice on my feet. I just lace them up and go. Sized up 1 full size since I have wide feet (same as for other Mizuno's and Saucony's - Brooks and Asics I usually size up 1/2 and I won't buy Nike's unless they come in a wide.) Nice heel/toe transition. I am using them for my long training runs and debating on using them or gambling with the Inspire's for the marathon - since they weigh an ounce and a half less. Fortunately, I have several more weeks of testing them both to see which works best. Wish they weren't so pricey, but it looks like they're worth it.

THIS SHOE IS AWESOME! I'M 5'4 AND 155 LBS. I'VE ALWAYS RUN IN HURRICANES/SAUCONYS, AND WE ALL KNOW THE HURRICANES WEAR OUT WAY TOO FAST LATELY. THESE SHOES IMPRESSED ME. A LITTLE STIFF, BUT IF YOUR GOING FOR STABILITY DON'T YOU NEED THAT. THEY'RE A LITTLE NARROW IN THE HEEL AREA FOR ME, BUT I STILL END UP LOVING THEM. THE FIRST TIME I RAN IN THEM WAS 15 MILES. THE KEYANOS COMPARED ARE SO SOFT AND CUSHIONY, WHICH IS COMFY, BUT NOT SUPPORTIVE ENOUGH. THEY ARE A LOW PROFILE SHOE THAT DON'T GET IN YOUR WAY OF RUNNING!

Comments about Womens Mizuno Wave Nirvana Running Shoe:

I've worn Mizuno Wave Creations for the past two years with no complaints. Prior to that I rotated between Asics Kayanos and the Brooks Trance. I liked the look of the new Mizuno Nirvana line and was impressed by the positive feedback of other runners. I bought my first pair of Nirvanas late last month and have been blown away by the comfortable ride from the first step. I only have about 80 miles on my Nirvanas and they seem to be more and more comfortable with each run. They're by far the most comfortable shoes overall that I've ever run in. I'm 6'1", 180, flexible feet, neutral gait, high arches. I could be the poster boy for these shoes. They're worth every penny!

I am amazed at this shoe. At first I was skeptical when i put it on because it didn't feel very cushioning, but when I ran in it all knee pain and shin splints are gone after 2 weeks. I used to think icing my shins after every run was just from old age now I know how the proper shoe can make all the difference in the world. Thanks mizuno and rrs for recommending this to me.

Great shoe!I've tried other shoes in this category like the NB 1221 and the Kayano which has been my shoe the past three pairs and so far this is the best! Its supportive without being heavy like i found the kayano. And as far as price I dont mind considering that the 2 models i mentioned are 135 as opposed to 130. So far about 200 miles and great...we'll see how it is up to the 500 mark!

I have run in Mizuno before and liked them..but not the Nirvana..My local running store recommended I try them.I was hesitant because I have never paid $130.00 for a pair of running shoes before. I found the shoes to be stiff and hard..not cushiony at all. My feet were killing me after the first couple of runs. I have competed and trained for Marathons and Ironman triathlons for years and never had a blister from a running shoe, but did with the Nirvana. I won't run in them again. High price to pay..maybe just not a good shoe for me.
