I love this shoe. I had terrible leg and joint pain with every run because I was running in the wrong type of shoe. I tried these and my pain was gone within the first week, thankfully! I have had two pairs of these and one pair of Wave Precision 7 (performance) and have happily run hundreds of m...

I have always worn trail running sneakers, the more traction the better. This was until and shoe store employee talked me into my first pair of Wave Rider 9's. I have not gone back to the trail runners. I am about to purchase my third pair of Wave Rider 9's. I simply love them!!!

THESE SHOES WERE NOT AS COMFORTABLE AND FLEXIBLE AS I HAD HOPED. I AM A NEUTRAL TO MILD OVERPRONATOR AND THESE MIZUNOS DON'T SEEM TO BE WORKING OUT.

I normally love Mizunos, but these sure aren't the wave riders of a few years ago. I absolutely loved my wr 7's. These do not have near the cushioning in the arch and fore foot and they seem wide to me. I was really disappointed. As I also tried the new wave precisions and thought they were wide...

Loved the WR8's but have had lots of problems with the WR9 fit...heel and plantar problems and had to go back to my old shoes. 5'7, 120, high arches, 40-50 MPW. Hoping the WR10's are better.

I love these shoes!I'm 5'8, 130 lbs. Run about 35 miles a week/ mid sole striker.Only thing I don't like is that I wear thru them pretty quickly (2 1/2 months) but they are a lightweight trainer so I guess that's to be expected.I have been in this shoe since 2001 / strayed a couple of times but alwa...

Not as great as the WR8 with regards to cushion, but toe box nice and big. After noticing the difference between the 8 and the 9, I decided to try other brands but always came back to the Mizuno WR9. I am looking forward to see how the 10 changes things, but in the meantime, using the 9 and a pair o...

This shoe is ok - it runs narrow and the cushioning wears out quickly especially in the heals. 5'6, 120 lbs, high arches

I really can't compare these shoes to the WR8, but I switched from the Wave Precision 5 and I don't like these nearly as well as my old shoes. The fit feels good and there is plenty of room in the toe which is nice. There is very little cushioning however, especially in the forefoot. I was experi...

I LOVE this shoe! I have used NB, Brooks, Nike, Addidas and FINALLY have found the shoe that fits for me! No knee pain, hip pain and after a faithful 18 months and three pairs later, I still have all my toenails!

This is my first pair of Mizunos. The cushioning is great, but I'm having trouble with the fit. It really squeezes my toes together. At the beginning of each run, I'm conscious about splaying my toes so my toes don't feel choked up. And yes, I did try these on with my workout socks AND in the af...

I had the 8 and the 9 is great! Kudo's to Mizuno, because the Wave Rider continues to be excellent cushion running shoe. Right now, I couldn't imagine wearing anything else unless Mizuno comes up with a 10, which the Wave Rider 9 is.........

After 2 pairs of WR8 I thought going to the WR9 would be a no-brainer, but that was NOT the case. The WR9 seem to have nowhere near the cushioning the WR8 had. I just ran my first 5k in this new pair and my feet, knees and legs haven't been this sore since I fisrt starting running again 2 years ago....

So, after a slow 4 miler and a tempo 6 miler I'm impressed with the WR9. They're responsive, seem stable enough, narrow/wide enough and don't hurt any part of my feet. A tinge of heel slippage on the left heel but it's the closest I've come to replicating the Span V and adidas classic. So far so ...

Like many of you, I transitioned into these after the WR 8 could no longer be found in my size. I was assured that these were identical, however I feel a significant difference. Definitely not as comfortable as the 8's and I only run 15-20mpw! Now that I have extended my training for a half marathon...

The new rider 9 is basically a copy of the rider 8. Nothing has changed between the two models. A different color and minor cosmetic differences between the upper and forefoot. The wave plate is the exact one present in the rider 8 so i guess i'm a little perplexed by a couple of posts basically s...

I was so glad to read that other people were experiencing the same problem as I when switching from the WR8 to the WR9. I've owned 2 pairs of the 8's and was excited to try the 9's. My feet have hurt so bad and I'm back in my old favorites until I can get a new pair. Guess I learned a lesson- when y...

Second the comment that the Rider 9s are narrower and just less comfortable than previous versions. Went with Creation 7s and am much happier.
