I agree with Duke: I've tried them all. I reallize that everyone's foot is different, so it's important that we try a variety of shoes to find what works for "Me". It is the best one for me. I love it!

Tried in Arizona before returning home - now building mileage in UK after a lay-off.
I found the heel edge too soft - the wavy plate feels less rigid than my earlier shoes and gives less strike support - I hit on the outside edge of my heel and supinate slightly. I have had to build the outer he...

Before I said this shoe has too less cushioning in the heel, but now i think that's not true. I've runned a 21.1 km without any problems and in a good time.

Didn't purchase this shoe, but I've recently seen the Rider 10 update and it's a very good improvement. New AP softer sockliner, wider forefoot and more flexible last than this Rider 9! Wait another week (Dec 20) and get the Rider 10 and I'll bet you'll be pleased
as well as surprised?

Just want to echo Jack's comments listed here..if you wear a nine make sure you buy a nine and a half in these.I am 190..wear soft orthotic in one shoe only..no problems...alternate this with creations..creations for long runs and these for shorter, faster workouts and races

Love the WR9. I have a closet full of lovingly retired WR's dating back to the WR6. I have tried all the rest: Adidas dont work with my high arched duck feet, Nike Peg's are good for about 2 long runs before they break down, plus QC is questionable--I have 3 pair of Peg'05s and every one is differ...

This review is based on one 5 mile run. For fit comments see my review below and note that the Riders fit is more snug then that of the Brooks Glycerin 4. After running in both shoes I'd say that the Riders are less flexible and therefore provide more stability. This may be a good thing as I am t...

This is a fit review only - Great fit for those who prefer a narrow heel, high volume mid section and wide toebox. I've tried on many, many shoes and have found the Mizuno Wave Riders and the Brooks Glycerin 4 to be the best fit for my feet.

I have tried them all (Nike, Asics, New Balance etc) and none compares to the WR9s. They are so comfortable that you sometimes forget you have them on. I only hope Mizuno does not mess it up.

My first pair of running shoes!! These are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever worn. When you go from bulky new balance cross-trainers to this light shoe, it makes a world of difference.

The best Wave Riders since the 2000! These are great for long runs and speed work. The changes from the WR8's are all positive from my perspective. On my second pair of WR9's after some rigorous summer training on the first pair. Just be sure to follow the instructions for sizing up!

I am a high school distance runner and just switched from Nikes to this Mizuno. The Wave Rider 9 feels great and really improves your turnover or transition rate. This particular shoe has the perfect combination of cushion and support. I have also run sub 5 minute miles in them and they are very re...

Excellent overall cushioning and I am on my 2nd pair! A bit firmer in the heel as compared to the A6 Cumulus, but great flexibility for longer training run or race efforts. Not good for dirt trais as rocks get stuck in the open heel area
