Ive been running for 10 years now, buying Mizuno or Asics. Ive never liked Asics, as they are too stiff, but these are the best, in all those years.

Can't comprehend the last 2 posts. I understand sometimes a shoe just doesn't work, but to say this shoe is stiff is obsurd. It's has to be one of the most flexible out there on the market today, and i think it might even be a step about the gel speedstar which is a fantastic shoe.

This shoe is too stiff. It does not have enough cushioning and last but not least, it is too narrow.

This shoe felt very stiff, even a year after I purchased them.(Thats my opinion) I definitly recomment the Speedstar to those of you looking for a shoe in this category. However, the new precision 8's have just recently been released, and I am hoping they have been greatly improved!

Good shoe overall, very lightweight and comfortable. Not as durable as I would have liked, but it's only 9.9 ounces.

The update totally screwed up my feet. I have been doing speed work and races from 5K to marathons since the Precision 3. This is without a doubt the worst fit of them all. If you have previously worn Precision, please beware. Take them for a test run.

I find this to be a comfortable, light, and responsive shoe. I also have a pair of the Speedstar II, which is light, but not as responsive (in my opinion) as the P7. Last Saturday, I did a brick consisting of a 3-hr. bike ride followed by a 1-hr. run, and felt very comfortable in these shoes.

I liked this shoe. Not quite as light, flexible, or soft as my favorite Asics Speedstars, but fairly close in all three categories. The sizing seemed to be a little different from my Asics too, but seems to be consistent with other Mizunos (~1/2 down from Asics). To Confused: The Precision 7 i...

This is, and continues to be, my favorite performance shoe on the market, period. The weight and responsiveness are the big pluses on this shoe. I'm confused why people are complaining about changes, as this is nothing more than a color update. NOTHING is different! Anyway, awesome shoe, great p...

This update over the Precision 6 model was both good and bad. Sturdier than the 6; can handle more total mileage and more comfortable for longer runs. Heel is slightly higher so shoe feels less like a racing flat than the 6. I still keep a pair of the 6 model fresh for racing 5K and up.

I am on my third pair and i think this is one of the best shoes out there. I use this for short runs and long runs. Feels the same whether it's a 5 miler or 15 miler. I don't care for flats so i use this for racing too. It's plenty light.

This remodel killed my favorite shoe. I am having to change for two reasons. First, the back of the shoe rides higher on my achiles tendon, causing iritation. Second, they changed the shape of the wave plate and it doesn't feel the same as the old model. Why do companies always do this?

Thu, January 11,2007:
Disappointing. Previous models are superior. This update isn't a bad shoe but feels like an ordinary neutral trainer, not a performance shoe.

Thu, January 11,2007:
Good, lightweight trainer. My only gripe is re: sizing. I seem to in between sizes in this shoe as an 11 is too small and an 11.5 is a wee too big. But I run in the Precisions (size 11.5) when doing tempo/speed workout days and I do like the shoe.

This would be a good shoe if it weren't for the hole they put through the midsole in the forward part of the heel. It makes the shoe unstable. Bad idea.

Tue, January 09,2007:
This is an extremely wonderful lightweight trainer. Cushioning and flexibility are right there. Nothing on the market compares to this shoe. Could be used for racing if so desired, probably for the longer ones. 10 k or higher. Nice shoe

Only 8g lighter than my Wave Rider 9, that's disappointing. But still a typical Mizuno for those looking for a direct, flexible shoe. I (78kg, 1.95m) ran already 600 miles with my first pair of prec. 7, they last longer than the prec. 5 and 6. Still would have preferred the lightness of the 5. Use t...

I ran the RNR San Diego Marathon in the 6s and they didn't support a 4:30 finish. For half marathons the 6s for me were the fastest and best shoe. The 7s are more cushioned and not as quick which i had mixed feelings about. I ran the NYC Marathon in the 7s yesterday, in a pair with only 3 miles o...

I just found my new up tempo-racing shoe. This shoe is exactly as described. The lightweight and flexibility is just great. This has got to be the most comfortable shoe i have had in a long time. I was not a fan of the precision 5 or 6 as that was geared for the high rigid arch but the new 7 does...

Tue, October 17,2006:
Good fitting shoe by Mizuno. The cushioning and flexability built into this design will help those who have high rigid arches or those with normal arches looking for a good performance running shoe.

Mon, October 16,2006:
Great lightweight cushion shoe. I use it my shoe rotation for my faster speed work outs, works well with the Wave Rider 9.

Thu, October 05,2006:
Compared to previous model (6), it's stiffer, firmer, and likely will last longer. While still a decent light-weight shoe, it's dissapointing update because it diminishes the qualities that made the previous models so special - super soft, super light, super flexible, that you can run fast righ...

I have mixed emotions about this shoe. On one hand, I love the light weight and the open mesh. On the other, I wish there was just a little more cushion. If you combined the cushioning of the NB 825 with the fit and open mesh of this shoe, I would be hooked. Some days, I really like this shoe, o...
