Statring on my 3 pair have had nothing but greta results. including 3 weekend back to back marathons with PR on the 1st and 3rd. I used to go back and forth between Ascics and Mizunos. Mizunos will be my choice shoes for marathons.

Great shoe. Fits well, feels fast and light for longer training runs. Lower heel height gives good feel of the road. This shoe is for mild pronators. If you pronate excessively, you should look at another model. I'd say that even faster, neutral runners could run this shoe with no problems.

Superb right out of the box for either faster paced training, speedwork or all distance racing! Just the right amount of medial support along with solid (not mushy) heel and forefoot cushioning in a light weight package.

First Mizunos..very impressed! Ran 50 miles the first week with these and 2 back to back 20 mile runs the next week and I have no complaints at all! Just wish I was as fast as they look!

THIS SHOE SUCKS!!! it only got one star b/c there isn't an option for zero stars. i have to retract my previous review because i made it in anticipation of getting a shoe like the original Elixir...i was wrong. the changes mizuno made are horrible. the heel is too narrow, all the stability featur...

A very good performance shoe for runners with normal to high arches. However the midsole cuhsioning feels flat and less supportive at 250 miles. I have not found this problem with Mizuno Precision or Rider. I conclude that the Eleixir is not made for everyday use.

Trained for a marathon in the Elixer with much success. Nice lightweight trainer with good flexibility and just enough cushioning.

I like this shoe, and have also switched over from the ruined DS-Trainer line from Asics. However, I don't find these as stable as the DS-Trainers.

i have had numerous pairs of the Elixir. havent' tried the Elixir 2 yet, but they seem to be practically identical. this shoe rocks!!!! i was a serious college runner and i wore this shoe every day while running 100 mile weeks. i used to be a new balance guy, but this shoe made me come over to m...

this shoe is oooooooooooo horrible it does not help with my pronation at all!!!

Fri, May 11,2007:
Great fit for a narrow foot ... I normally buy 12.5 B width (when available in shoes like Brooks Adrenaline or Ascics 21xxs) but this shoe fits superbly in 12.5 D. Great stability in such a lightweight shoe.

Excellent performance shoe for neutral runners with high or normal arches.

Thu, March 22,2007:
Excellent light weight trainer with min stability. Flexible with just enough cushion. Great for up tempo or racing. Charles, not sure why you are comparing two competely different shoes.

I was a loyal Asics customer until they changed the DS Trainer. The Elixir has filled in nicely--so much so that I recently purchased two more pairs and have even put my GT's on the shelf. Now, they are all I wear.

I used them for my first marathon with no feet damage at all, thanks mizuno
